Most people buying a smart tv in South Africa needs it to be able to connect to the Internet. There are fibre Internet in S.A. Moreover, its cheaper for so many folks to connect to their Internet and enjoy showmax, Netflix, hulu, etc, rather than subscribing to dstv.

Dstv isn't a big deal in S.A, everyone wants to connect their tv to the Internet. Selling those tvs cash is also very difficult in S.A. People in S.A often buy electronics, and pay back in installments, like paying back R300/month. Most people are not ready to cough out R8, 000 rand for a tv cash.

Its very lucrative honestly. Very very lucrative, however, try to know networking before proceeding (network from scratch to advanced implementation) That will help you greatly.

The journey to Cyber-security is tough, boring and technical. You have to love it to finish the courses.

As long as you have a degree, you can build whatever career you want on it. See your degree as a dough for making pizza. The basis to making any pizza is the dough, once you have the dough, then you can have any flavour and type of pizza you want on it.

Having a bachelors in Economics is great, going into CS or I.T from there gives you an edge.

Please, in whatever certification you choose, please stick to one and be a monster in it. Don't try to know everything at once. Once you pick one, stick to it and perfect it. Then you can start playing with others.

Hey zeez, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, I don't recruit for Nigerian firms, as I am not based in 9ja for now.

However, will let you know should an opening pop up.

I have been recruiting for several organisations, especially American companies. But I will tell you for free, all mu clients are demanding at least a bachelors degree to be able to work in the United States.

Even if you have 8years experience in any of the I.T sectors, you're automatically screened out if you don't have a degree.

I am presently recruiting for Backend Developer, U.S based only, and a bachelors degree is a most.

You can study for cyber security, while also doing a part-time degree. But trust me, nobody wants to hire someone without B.sc anymore, except handy man jobs.

Don't let anyone deceive you, 97% of American companies now require a bachelors degree for I.T jobs, I am not talking of freelance jobs, I mean permanent staff positions.

Mind you, Cyber security requires certifications, this certifications are quite expensive.

I am a recruiter, and I am speaking from experience.

P.S, I am not based in Nigeria.

Please for that of Germany, as of last year when I started pursing it,they placed a rule on cat A and B peeps for getting study visa.. Cat A was 8months while cat B for 2.2 graduates was 12months then.this made me end the hustle because it became useless waiting that long since am a 2.2 grad..
As of now do u know the standings please..have they reduced the waiting period??

Canada is quite complicated at the moment. Getting in is harder due to Covid restrictions, the processing is quite tedious and longer, same with Australia.

Germany is your best bet for now. Another option is to try the more peaceful African countries that offer a better quality of life. Get their residency then catapult from their to Canada, Australia or Germany.

Please, go legally, and get your residency legally.

The mistake that people make is to just compare the currencies between two countries without comparing what each of the two can achieve in their respective country. For instance, with N50m annual Salary, you can afford the quality of life that someone in the US earning equivalent of N50m can never enjoy except he funds that lifestyle on debt (credit).
With such salary, you would have good leadership, constant electricity and quality security that is lacking in Nigeria.
I can build this house in a secured estate in Abijo in Lekki for N50m including land. But this kind of house in an 'undeveloped' part of USA like Utah will be more than 10 times that price. Even a bungalow of low quality goes for more than N400m in a bushy part of Utah
