ademi87: ur talk is mundane and pointless....healthy and successful children is all I pray for regardless of the gender. Thank you! Added to that...children who will also be merciful, loving, passionate (or compassionate) and really care about you. Otherwise, what's the point in having males or females who would not really care about/for you? |

godofuck231: a God father of mine was in the military and gave his sons military orientations , at a point he retired and on a day he had visitors who came by and one of his neighbors was under attack, armed men had taken into his house trough the gateman who stupidly opened up the pedestrian gates , on hearing the crash of dishes in the next compound he opened up his Armoury and handed 2 of his sons shotguns , 1 Keltec KSG tactical and 1 mossberg 590A1 persuader, tactical belts and claw knives , the guests were hysterical and scared shitless, the women and wives of the visitors were worried that he had sent his sons to an untimely death , the nigerian police got to the scene an were confused , the blood and gore was serious , that day the wife made pounded yam like she never had before, she was proud ,while chairman de read newspaper for parlour, guns de ring like music, long thing short I sorry for who enter that kind man house to come steal or kill, having men who are capable and loyal makes a woman no more than a queen . Sounds fictional! |

godofuck231: no worry no born male child first then see how you can control your home , women themselves know at a point thats they need a man in their lives , most of the girls into prostitution either had no fathers when growing or their fathers didnt impact on their lives, they hardly have regards for men The point is that if God gives you one or more boys, be thankful. If not, why stress yourself chasing shadows? Actually, those who are still looking up to God for children would be happy and thankful with any gender should God answer their prayers. |

We are 5 boys and 2 girls(twins). My parents kept looking for a female child till the twins came. Wow! Looking for girls? Maybe it was your Mum. |

234GT: When you are dead, you don't remember anything again. You don't even remember your own first name, not to talk of family name.
Life lost meaning to me the day I saw my grandfather's corpse. That's the point. There are even some people who change their own surnames or their children's. So, who really cares about family name after all? |

godofuck231: Blood lines , its the task of a man to have a son in any way possible to continue his blood line , this very reason is why the uk needs caregivers who are migrants because the old are either homeless or abandoned , men are aware of the responsibilities in society and God has blessed them with strength to labour and provide for the family, even you his wives aged parents he's expected to function in time of need ,the war in ukrain would have been a walk trough if there were no men to fight and defend the countrys interest, think of that for a start As regards war, it's not even every male that goes to war. I feel that if God allows you to have a male within the number of children you plan to bear (family planning matters a lot, especially with the economic reality of today) then, fine. However, if no boy is born then, why stress yourself? |

Family › What's The Obsession With Male Children About In Nigeria? by Mofun(op): 3:35pm On Mar 27, 2022 |
Why are most Nigerian parents obsessed about having male children? Some just keep bearing many children because they're in search of at least a male. There are instances where men even marry extra wives just in order to have male children. Please what's the fuss about? |

Oblitz: America is a Good country. their President is a human being, not a dictator without human feelings. See as soldiers dey shake their president with one hand, them no bow down. If na Nigeria, them go bow down Double hand shake am. Well, you're right with your observation. However, regarding the second point you made, our culture and theirs are miles apart. We can't blame anyone about that. I mean we can neither blame them nor ourselves. |

Amb1045: What a stupid move by the indigens of the community. A state own property, indigen wants to determined how it's going to be run. Afonja's won't disappoint, that's how they want to force another Afonja into being the chairman of computer village. A market highly populated by igbo traders. Lol. These people can't learn at all. Jakpa Are you a Nigerian at all? OAU is not state-owned. Also, it is rather referred to as an institution than "property." So, it's a federal government institution and not a "state-owned property" that you suppose it to be. Stop coming to drop comments that would rather expose your ignorance next time. Okay? |

I do not in any way support the backward act of a few miscreants trying to misrepresent the entirety of the good people of Ile-Ife. Even the king has condemned it in no little way. Every sane person wouldn't support such myopic, retrogressive and ill-informed protest that absolutely reveals how grossly uncivilized those involved are. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How Do You Handle Being Shouted On At Work??? by Mofun: 12:14am On Mar 27, 2022 |
alexxiswrites: Nigerian bosses wouldn't last one minute in workplaces in saner climes such as the UK, United States, and some top African countries. Why? From day one they try to lord it over their employees and subordinates. A typical senior at work automatically becomes a demigod to be placated at ll times. Personally, I hate bosses that have to make their point through raised voises. That's terrible and an assault on an employee. I left a job because the employer was mostly shouty, toxic, and would make you look incompetent. I worked with a boss who behaved exactly this way. I wonder why it had to be so. Anyway I think it's so that you lose your sense of worth and have no gut to demand for a promotion or any other entitlement when you're so deprived. It's a mind game. On the other hand it's heightened pride on the part of such bosses. |
