It was unfortunate that Giwa was killed by Abacha. A very sad event my brother! Though I think the Mr Nice Guy is still needed but this time with intelligence
There's a saying that "freedom is not given, Freedom is taken".
The Mr Nice-guy period ended with the death of Saro Wiwa and rightly so. The mr nice-guy quality of GEJ didn't help either, imagine if GEJ was as ruthless as Obasanjo?

50% derivation or we give them nothing at all grin grin grin let them go to hell lol!!

You should have written this during GEJ administration, at least he grew up in that region and have first hand information of the situation. Yet failed to institute a permanent solution to their struggle or is there more to this than we are been told? 18% derivation is no joke if put to good use.

All the money that has been allocated to ND area since 1966 be it 1% or 18% is enough to develop that ND. The people of Niger Delta should start holding their own people accountable, not only the government. I don't believe 100% resources control will change the situation.

Sanusi said $20 billion was missing. Okonjo-Iweala said it's $10 billion. How come PWC is saying it's $1. billion? Why is it that the PWC only carried out forensic auditing? Why not a probe? Heads will roll.

1995 Environmental activist Mr Ken Saro Wiwa was killed by Gen Sani Abacha.
I still remember how sad my dad was when this happened. Now they have the likes of Asari and Government Ekpemukpolo to deal with, No-more-mr-nice-guy attitude.

Bring it on.

Lets just hope Buhari is not as steww--pid as we think. They destroyed their region using boko haram, let them foot the bill.

Were you expecting President Jonathan to develop only the ND because he comes from the ND, have you taken time to find out how governance works?

I normally don't reply id.iots but heck its Tuesday.

The North wants 5% derivation for producing jackshiit, what era do these people live in? They should request the 5% from boko haram, they supported the sect initially.

. . . . . . . . . I am not against the ND, read my post again . . . . . . . . . . .I am against green snakes like the OP who want to make themselves relevant at all cost with selfish intent . . . . . . . . . .Jonathan from the ND was president the past 5 or 6 years, don't you think the period would have been the best time to bring up all these ND nationalistic talk? . . . . . . .why the sudden realisation after the loss of Jonathan? . . . . . . . . .should we tolerate incompetence because he is 'brother'?
If Jonathan had done it he would have been seen as the president of the ND. The best time to agitate for resource control is now, it's our prerogative to start agitating for resources control when we feel like it. We don't need outsiders telling us when to start fighting for control of our resources, its our prerogative. Harness your useless views alone, this thread is not for your type.
Politics › Re: Asari Dokubo Flaunts Allegiance With Biafran Struggle by Mogidi:
Asari carry go, nothing do you, let Buhari fly boko haram flag at Aso rock from MAY 29th.

If I can find the Biafran flag I would fly in it my house in Edo state, we were conned in the Mid-West to support one Nigeria in 1967.
"One Nigeria" is the biggest scam of Nigeria's minorities to date, the Hausas (to a lesser extent the Yorubas) are the ones that need one Nigeria.

The Mid-West had a plebiscite in 1963 and voted to leave the Western Region, we should have had another referendum to decide if we wanted to remain in Nigeria.

The national Assembly budget for 2015 is N120bn, enough to pay the salaries of 555,555 people at N18,000 per month.

This was why Tinubu installed Remi Tinubu in Senate, if Remi can't be made Lagos state governor, Remi can be made a NASS member, another Tinubu son inlaw is in the HOR.

Buhari should start his corruption drive from NASS.

That is very good. Baba remember that you must seriously audit the NNPC books and let's see who between Mallam Sanusi and Allison was truthful. Meanwhile a reputable audit firm categorically said that the "unremitted" fund wwas little over $1 billion. "Note the word unremitted and not missing".

Meanwhile, remember to probe Petroleum Development Trust Fund of which Obasanjo and Atiku were both indicted by the Senate.

Baba you should also probe Transcorp Deals perpetrated by Obasanjo and his corrupt allies.

Baba Be prepared to work with Nyesome Wike in probing Amaechi when evidence start coming.

Baba remember the Saraki case. The allegation against Fashola by True Face of Lagos. That against Sylva among others....

Baba we are wtching...
Pricewaterhousecooper already laid the issue to rest with their audit report. The senile Daura President still believes Sanusi who initially said a whopping $50billion was missing.

I wish him luck on his witch hunt journey.

He didn't raise any issues. If he wanted to draw comparison; he might have compared Buhari with his principal who came to government without shoes but leaving after stupendous and voracious acquisition; including appropriating government lands in Abuja. He stated that Buhari has houses in Kaduna and Abuja after being Petroleum Minister, GOC, Head of State and head of PTF. Let Barcanistar state how much his principal has acquired.
Why don't you do the research yourself and show us proof that GEJ acquired wealth beyond his means?

Barcanistar is losing objectivity and balance in his analysis. I tell analysts to avoid emotions in their work. Buhari is NOT yet the President and Barcanistar is already dressing him on corruption toga; making false analogy between him and Mr. Obasanjo. Buhari has not failed in any campaign promise because he is not in power yet. Barcanistar seems to be on a free fall; and his reputation is being shredded with every word he writes. Good thing is that he has enough friends on Nairaland to help him in his redemption.

Go find out the age of Senator Kennedy of the US when he died, and the number of tenure he served. Go check the faces of the men in the UK House of Lords.
Kennedy came from from "America's unofficial" royal family, dude used his family name to boot.

As for the U.K, half of the "peers" in U.K house of Lords are people who inherited those titles.

Unlike the elected House of Commons, most new members of the House of Lords are appointed. Membership of the House of Lords is made up of Lords Spiritual and Lords Temporal. There are seats for 26 Lords Spiritual who sit in the Lords by virtue of their ecclesiastical role in the established Church of England.

When you basically create a thread ranting about Buhari everyday before he even assumes office then you are DEFINITELY not giving any constructive criticism, you didn't do it before the election and you certainly aren't doing it now.

Here's a tip, no one 'reasonable' cares about your rants, they didn't before the election and they certainly don't now. So you can keep accusing Buhari of sponsoring BH or whatever (as if we never heard that before the elections) , calling him names or mocking him (this is actually the lamest because it is expected and actually NORMAL for any leader), and whine about $1, free feeding or whatever that still wont turn his supporters against him, its all just to makes you people that HATE him (and yes its definitely hate) feel good about yourselves. Your votes didn't make him win so don't come here telling us how you expect him to do wonders or you'll stone him undecided or vote him out because i am willing to bet my House that even if Buhari does well you people WILL still hate him.

I'm totally confident in Buhari and couldn't care less about you or any of your fellow 'haters' telling me how i have been scammed or how Buhari will fail, besides all you ever kept posting before the elections was how GEJ will win blah blah and how did that work out for ya ? undecided

Note to self: Copy paste this on any thread created by this gang of PDP apologists.
