Good people I'm reaching y'all live from my quarantine room in Hamilton. I arrived yesterday by 3pm canadian time via Emirates after a 5hr layover at Dubai and a long 15hr flight. Temperature is 1°C outside. My friend n old school mate picked me from YYZ and we went to eat at the residence of another old school mate who's married but husband is in the air arriving nxt yr. There were several checks . At 9ja you have airport officials checking weights of baggage, the Emirates staff checking covid-19, study papers like passport, LOA, Enrollment n tuition receipt, arriveCAN and flight ticket. Immigration dey too. Then those that search u and ur carryon before boarding. At Dubai after the 5hrs layover, the Emirates guys still rechecked all the papers and we boarded. Boeing 777 was cool. U are in an entertainment station of your own. You can request any drink anytime. Food was big ...though I no de eat much. We delayed 1hr before take off cos one Arab family on 1st class came late. Wetin u go do nah? At YYZ, u go trekk o. Trek reach boarder officers they checked same papers, the guy offer me coffee sef. And gave me my study permit n directives on how to get SIN and Bank account. Next step the agent only asked me to show my arriveCAN app. That's all. I went to claim my other two 23kg boxes that I checked in. Dogs just de stroll around de sniff bags Just before I exited to the waiting area, I was asked my declaration card. As they see say I carry fish, the guy asked if I have ginger n vegetables I said yes. He politely said I should go for search. I did. The guy only inspected the ginger and opened the exit door to the waiting area. I stepped out and waited until my guy came to pick me. It's 18:49 here. We are still in 2020. Gotten my Canada mobile line, Applied for SIN and booked an appointment with TD Bank for the 14th for my bank account since I have to appear in person. Keep trying my people. All the wahala is worth it. It will end in praise 35 Likes 2 Shares |

Please who has information on this Enrollment letter thing. I didn't get any from my school. Yet I hear that people are being stopped from flying because they don't have it. What's the way out? |

Please o, I was reading through IRCC site about the documents one needs to present at POE, amongst other things I saw proof of funds. Does this mean that we will reprint account statement close to departure or what? |

If you are not in a rush to travel, Lagos is fine. I submitted to Lagos on 26th and got it today (from Port harcourt). Documents to send with passport are; Int'l passport, ppr letter, biometrics slip, 2 vfs consent form, 2 copies of passport info page. If you finally opt for Abuja, since you will need to pay N7,430, You may attach the proof of payment (Normal bank teller will be fine) but Snap it before you send them the original just in case they ask you to send the teller to an email address like inthe case of inhouse courier charge (feedback.cannig@vfshelpline.com) Go to a courier service outlet (DHL, UPS etc), give them the docs and pay for your 2-way courier. the Lagos VFS use UPS. UPS is also less expensive than DHL. I hope this helps Chrystee68: 2 Likes |

esosa4real: If you paid for 2-way, its cheaper. if you paid one way, you may will have to pay VFS for the return. What I saw on their site is N12,570. but somebody posted a table here stating different charges for different destinations. so I am not 100% sure. But if that is my Passport, I will Pay the N12,570 and collect it first. we can drag the balance later. na Canada Visa dey inside that passport o. Lol 3 Likes |
