blcoolfemol: Most times if you are seeking for MSc funding, you need secure a potential supervisor and if you can read back, lots of ways have been discussed on how to secure a potential supervisor. If you check page 1 of this thread you will get the gimmick.
Mind you having the consent of a supervisor does not guarantee admission.
I wish you all the best.
Thanks |

blcoolfemol: My supervisor is to give me 15kcda yearly and my tuition is about 9kcda yearly so the additional 4.2m was able to take care of the remaining 4kcda in order to meet up with IRCC requirements.
When I began the program I got more funding of about 12kcda.
I hope this helps
Hello Blcoolfemol, Pls I ñeed a guide on how to secure Msc admission with funding. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks |

Kimkalash: Seeing that you were formerly refused, i swear you cant imagine how happy i am for you. It takes so much strength to rise from failure. I feel kinda proud that one of us has started the journey and finished it. Congratulations brother. Please who knows a WhatsApp group or Telegram group of Nigerians living in Canada that I can join. Or do we have such gathering on Nairaland? |

BlegendE: IRCC just sent another mail ooo. I received PPR last week. Presently, I can't login. Could it be th introduction letter? I follow IRCC on Twitter. They tweeted that their servers will be down. They also tweeted that the server downtime has been extended. So if you got a donotreply mail, you may not be able to check your online application account until service is restored. They'll usually announce it on twitter too. Good luck. 1 Like |

Anon123: For those that have gotten PPR, congratulations. For those that have submitted their passports for stamping and visa issuance, you all need to be patient. REASON is this, once your passport is received at VFS and transmitted to IRCC, what IRCC does now is to go through all your documents AGAIN to confirm those with fake documents mostly Financial documents and also possibly calling banks to confirm authenticity of transactions at a particular period in your statement of account (NOT OUTSIDE O), most times they call sponsors to find out if they know you. It takes time, in a max 2-3weeks, if you are clean you should be getting mails to pick up your passports/visa. So just be patient. you are already at the final bus stop. So will this second check now alter the "Final Decision" that has already been made? I doubt if this information is correct. Please what is your source? 1 Like |

Eilenora: What if it is your first application and you are submitting same place you did your biometrics? Will you still be paying for transmission fees? Can you take your passport yourself to VFS or you still have to courier it there via DHL (I reside in Ajah which isnt too far from VFS so wondering why I would still want to courier my passport). Yet to receive PPR but just want to have the information handy. Make I be like Rebeca, ready on arrival. He He
I don't think transmission fee applies to first timers submitting to same center where they did biometrics. As for mode of submission... They want as little physical contact as possible. It's a measure necessitated by covid-19 outbreak not about proximity. Even if you reside nextdoor, you cannot submit in person. You'll send it by parcel service. |

Good morning, I don't think there's ànythiñg to be scared about. Worst outcome is that you will be contàcted to provide the outstanding. That can only result in a delayed closeout. So what ever be the case, the next call is from them. Keep the docs ready in case they call for it. |

To respond to this, I will like to share a friend's experience. He got his PPR on 22nd October 2020. His passport was sent to VAC Lagos Office on 27th October 2020 and was received on 28th October 2020. An automated mail was sent to him two days ago on the movement of his Passport. Below are the messages received in sequence from VFS;
1. Dear XYZ, Visa application, tracking ID No. 123, The envelope for the decision on the results of your visa that has been processed has been received at the Canadian Visa Application Center at Lagos OC, on the date. We will then send this to the Canadian Visa Application Center Lagos OC. Please note that this is an automated... Regards,
VFS Global
2. Dear XYZ, Your application, tracking ID No. 123 has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre, Lagos OC on 11/4/2020 12:15:40 AM and is in transit to the IRCC Office in Lagos OC for processing. For further details, please contact the VAC... Regards,
VFS Global
3. Dear XYZ, Your application, tracking ID No. 123 has been received and is under process at the IRCC Office on 11/4/2020 01:34:29 PM Regards,
VFS Global
He is presently not sure on how long the whole process will take. Anyone with similar experience can share.
Thank you.
Same experience here too |

Lanrelala: No idea about that, perhaps you can try calling them. I reached them with this number: 0815 019 9900.
You'll have to listen to a normal customer service recorded message for about two minutes before being given the option to speak to an agent.
Thank you |

Lanrelala: I called VFS and got the following info: If the application is your first and you are submitting passport to the same centre where your biometric was collected, you should not pay for transmission. Only pay for a one way courier and add the necessary documents.
If it's your second or third application, you are to pay transmission fee, even if you had your biometric in the centre where you're sending the passport to.
URGENT QUESTION! It is my second application, I submitted my passport to same VAC where I did my biometrics. But I was not çlear on this Transmission fee pàymeñt and so I didn't pay for it. Since this info suggests that I should pay it, how do I do that? |

heidepaper: Hello house, I just left vfs Canada Abuja. They are receiving passports. Make sure you send a two way courier (they’ll bring to the embassy, then take back to you after it’s stamp)
Courier should be DHL or UPS This info was given to me by the security inside the building. She said i should include the letter asking me to submit my passport, the slip and receipt I got after giving my biometrics and 2 passport photographs.
I personally think the passport photograph is for PR, but I’ll include it. There’s no harm.
If you have any other questions, please send them an email as this is the only info I could get. Best wishes everyone thanks a lot |

heidepaper: Hello,
No I haven’t.
Lagos website says it’s closed indefinitely, they didn’t give an opening time.
Abuja shows that they’re open. I’m going to Abuja vfs tomorrow to check if they’re really open and accepting passports. If they’re not, I’ll initiate the Accra move
I am currently in Port Harcourt. Please keep me posted on the outcome of your visit to the Abuja VFS. Thanks a lot. |

Abuja VAC is temporarily locked down till further notice due to the anarchy that has befallen Nigeria.
Accordingly, you may reach out to them at your discretion via this medium ABUJA VAC CONTACT.
It will end in praise Thank you. |

Frankrobbn1:
My advice was based on my experience with several applications and the functionality nature of Kenya, Nairobi immigration office. In most cases my guidance appears to be factual, however, the odds were in your favour and it was a crowned success in the end.
Congratulations! I will further advice you to courier your passport through DHL to Accra VAC for visa stamps since the Lagos and Abuja VAC is temporarily locked down due to the ongoing anarchy that has befallen Nigeria. I know a few people that have followed this route and have gotten their visas stamped (please note it's at your discretion). If possible, you can as well confirm if any of the VAC in Nigeria have started accepting passports.
It will end in praise. Good day Frankrobbn1, please could you help me with Abuja VAC contact (Email, Phone number)? Thanks. |
