All Nigerians need is sanity in the affairs of this country. Nigeria has the capacity - both human and natural resources to easily get this country to the levels of Brazil, Indonesia, South Korea etc but this is not the case. We ve had sustained failed leadership where leaders have continued to recycle themselves in continuous rape of the country. I am a Peter Obi supporter. I followed his governorship administration in Anambra and knew what he did in Anambra and i believe if given the chance he will do more for Nigeria with better resources. Trying to compare Tinubu's achievement in Lagos and that of Obi in Anambra is simply being naive. Some said Tinubu met a monthly IGR of 600m and increased it to 5billion We all know that was the figures thay gave then which was never verifiable. Again Lagos before Tinubu even came in has the capacity as the commercial hub of Nigeria to have a monthly IGR of over 100billion even before 1999 Tinubu came in. I am not trying to state that Tinubu didnt achieve anything but judging from the capacity of Anambra and Lagos, Obi surppased him by a thousand mile.. Obi doesnt know me individually. His leadership if he succeed may first benefit a Tinubu supporter before me. However, i know it will surely go round. Few things i ve observed abiut the Tinubu supporters are : 1 A lot of them are suffering from acute tribalism 2 Most are idlers who dont really want to do anything meaningful wuth their kives but praise-singing. These are set of people that includes graduate hoping for continuous handouts. 3 These are set of people who are never serious in life but waste their precious time trolling people online Finally among other things, they are not that many as the obidients. In nairaland here, u have each of them controlling multiple accounts. I am calling on the youths especially the reasonable Tinubu supporters, those who may be following Tinuhu on tribal leanings to jettison all these tribal warfare because it never serves our benefits but that of the ruling class. Tinubu is the president till the Supreme Court says otherwise. Buhari regime didnt favour the northern youths but the ruling class. Tinubu's regime also will toe the same line favouring the ruling class irrespective of ethnicism... |
GuruboiNaija:and at the end of the day, the same thieving politicians will seize it for their cronies and thieving partners leaving the poor people more miserable |
Bestmanfornow:this ugly boring man signing MOU that hhas continued to amount to nothing. Soludo is a clear bad luck to ndi Anambra. Late Mbadinuju would ve been better |
Bestmanfornow:Soludo is a total failure. Previously, it took government months unending to evacuate refuse. Recently, they ve evacuated refuse and surrounded the sites with diabolical white cloths in prevention of refuse dump leaving people with nowhere else to dump their wastes |
In the rerun though i see Tinubu's inclusion in principle because the contest would be between Atiku in the North and Obi in the South and Middle belt. |
Their sense of entitlement to the state they governed and its resources is appalling. They treat state funds as personal money they use and dishout at will without consideration to the major needs of the people. They sit on the head of every institution in the state - the state houses of assembly, the judiciary, local government. They are the major reason Nigeria is still backward |
The tribunal already Knew Tinubu was ineligible but the only way to save face is to declare a rerun with the inclusion of Tinubu. |
Elsudani2:u re the same Godwin4444 using different monikas to stoke fire of tribalism |
Godwin4444:in few exchanges with u i already realised you are neither for yoruba or Igbo but one of the agents littered accross social media by the system to decieve gullible Nigerians My question to u is, how much are u paid to do this? |
Kestolove:one of the paid agents already spotted. Bro what is in this for u? |
Its very sad that those that hawk and carry tribalisnm on their heads as heavy loads are peasants who are struggling to survive. Most of them are still unmarried, living under their parents roof and care, with lesser financial independence. It is also funny and terribly unfortunate that these set of gullible Nigerians are doing so with the mindset they are protecting their tribesman in position of authority. It is saddest that their tribesmen and women in leadership positions are never aware of their existence or ever care to know. If we have the slightest understanding about the political struggles of these various politicians, u would realise it is hardly about ethnicism for them but simply association (party) and this association does not exclude anyone of them because u can always jump from party A to B anytime u wish. The truth is that the leadership created this tribalism just for the masses in order to perpetuate domination and lead at their whims and caprices. All Peter Obi needs and those who strughled with him to be part of Tinubu administration and benefit from juicy contracts is to f**k the association and joined the sailing boat. At the end if the day the masses become more miserable. Yeah! some few yoruba youths wil get employed so do other youths of other tribes even in this same administration. So what exactly are we doing?? |
Godwin4444:if u read through what u just posted u know u re clearly lying to urself and urself doesnt like that. The worst a man would do is see white clearly and wouldnt even atleast call it milk colour but blatantly call it black. That is demonic |
Racoon:it doesnt have to be a national leader like the president. We must recognise even if it is a local government chairperson who gave extraordinary/selfless leadership |
There is no doubt a lot have been made bare as regards the eventual winner Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. There is no doubt the decision that brought him to power is totally flawed - From his clear drug case, the certificate forgery, the compulsory 25percent of the capital Abuja, loosing to Peter Obi in his strongest hold Lagos, loosing to Atiku in his home state Osun which begs the question how he managed to get the figures that declared him the winner Obviously, a lot of lobbying, threats, promises, signed checks etc are going on in the background by the powers that be to uphold the charade that brought Tinubu to power. This is clearly a hard pill even with all these influences for the tribunal to swallow. The upcoming judgement will seriously impact the existence of the name called Nigeria if not handled with care. Nigerians for the very first time after the Endsars movement have woken up more than ever to change the terrible statusquo for a liveable Nigeria. The ball is in the court of the presidential tribunal... |
Hadone:what made them the best?? |
Nigeria has suffered terribly in the hands of her leaders. With enormous human and natural resources, Nigeria should be competing with the best countries in the world. Sadly, that is not the case. The leadership have systematically created a pipe and channel through which Nigeria's resources are endlessly diverted to personal purse of the leadership over the decades It became worst from 1999 where the leaders treat the country's resources as personal property to deploy, use and squander as they wish. However, in the midst of these maladministration, impunity rogueish and thieving politicians, there are/were few who stood out with sincerity of purpose to creating a better society for all. There are number of them but i will pick the best three among them. These three were leaders who tried their best to changing the horrible system they met on assumption of office with sincerity of purpose. I will state them from bottom to top 1 Yaradua two term governor of Katsina and later president of the federal Republic of Nigeria is in 3rd position Obasanjo during his presidency allowed the faceless cabals who incidentally brought him to power decide the pace of his governance. I remembered buying bag of cement - elephant cement, Ibeto cement #270 for those who were already adults in 1999. The same year, Obasanjo under the directive of the cabals, banned importation of cement granting Dangote monopoly over the cement industry in the guise he produces locally but we all know he ended up importing to meet demand. By year 2000 cement is gone up to #950, #1000 and by 2007 cement was already #2000plus Yaradua on assumption of office immediately stood down the ban on importation and players like Ibeto came onboard and the price of cement crashed to #1400 and keot going down before Yaradua's sudden demise. This he achieved among other popular benefitting polices 2 Peter Obi two term governor of Anambra state is in 2nd position Before Obi became governor, Anambra was in a sorry state. When Anambra was sharing same state with Enugu, all the money made from Onitsha main-market and other Anambra resources were used to develop the capital which is Enugu town. At the creation of Enugu state out of Anambra, in 1991, Anambra was bedevilled with sustained bad leadership managed by godfathers who took turn to install their stooge. It was in 2003 during the time of Ngige that Anambra started seeing slight development like constructing roads for the first time. Ngige's administration ended within three years because he was governing under a stolen mandate. Peter Obi came in 2006 after the court declared him winner. He didnt waste time in setting Anambra on the path of sustainable progress it has remained today Anambra was literally last and worst in everything - Education, Health, Security, Economy, Infrastructure. By 2008-2009 Anambra became first in almost all the stats mentioned. Peter Obi didnt concentrate in the capital like most leaders do/did. He opened up numerous projects in all the communities in Anambra and turned almost every community in Anambra into township that Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi were decongested. He built road networks that opened up remote villages linking them to one anither. His achievement in Education, Health etc are unparalled. He ended his eight year governance by handing over cash of 75b naira to his successor among so many other investments. 3 M.I Opkara was the leader of NCNC and Premier of eastern Nigeria 1959-1966 and in 1st position By 1964 5years into Okpara's ascendency into the premiership, Eastern Nigeria as recorded by a Research group in Michigan state University in the US . Eastern Nigeria was the fastest growing and industrializing economy in the world - ahead of Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore. You can read up how he achieved that. Its in public dormain |
Because i heard they are still jobless. You remember the Obi keledenke guy that sang that Obi 1,2,3 song. How someone tried to ridicule him with his hustle and he got connected These nairaland guys have been in the trenches for Buhari, now Tinubu and infact anything terrible and negative they will support, just to spite some groups in their support for APC and the rotten system of Nigerian government I know few of them and you can help me identify others if you know them Helinues Omenka Helinues for his support for APC even berated those killed during Endsars protest in Lekki, chastising and calling them names for challenging buhari Omenka on his own was blaming his kinsmen killed by Fulani marauders for standing in the way of the feeding cattle just for his undying love for APC. Omenka and Helinue, as i don advertise una. If they now remember una. mek una remember the person that did it for una |
My first assignment is simple. Make Nigeria a confedration. Clearer - return Nigeria to regionalism where the regions have 80-90 percent right and decision to determine their own course |
Governors as chief administrators of the 36 states in Nigeria have crucial role in the development of the country. Unfortunately, they have not lived to that expectation. They have always claimed paucity of funds in allocation between them and the federal government but they have never united in their advantageous strength and numbers to fight that stusquo. All they have ever done is to wait for the allocation and then spend it as if it is their personal money In all these, some of the past and present governors have impacted positively on the states they governed while others performed terribly. Havjng actively followed Nigerian politics since the return to civilian rule in 1999, i personally feel these 3 governors are the worst. I will itemise them from bottom to the top: 3 Ben Ayade - the immediate past Cross River governor. At a point he was said to have apoointed 10,000 SAs and SSAs in the middle of his first tenure and Nigerians were awed 2 - Okezie Ikpeazu, immediate past governor of Abia state. This governor left his state unattended while following Wike around like a puppet. 1 - Soludo, current governor of Anambra state. Having served as the CBN governor under Olusegun Obasanjo, i personally felt vying for governorship was below his status. He contested twice before the last one that ushered him into the Anambra government house. He failed in the first two occasions and someone like me felt Anambrarians were shooting themselves in the foot by missing such rare opportunity in Soludo. When he failed the first governorship bid in 2009 against Peter Obi of all people, i felt so sad. An elderly schorlar then told me Soludo is overhyped that i shouldnt even think that. Today Soludo is Anambra state governor. Anambrarians gave him the massive support and he made wide promises and one of the promises is turning Anambra to Dubai/Taiwan of Africa. 18 months into his governorship amidst improved allocations Anambra is retrogressing. The roads are in shambles Refuse litter everywhere taking months to be evacuated among other anomalies. In all of these he continues promising Anambra heaven on earth... |
There is no doubt Tinubu is the very worst considering a number of factors. He was the person that masterminded the enthronement of the Buhari regime and Nigeria and Nigerians suffered terribly for it. The same crop of politicians who directly and indirectly contributed to the mess Nigeria is today are still the ones engaged by Tinubu. One would ve thought even with Tinubu's ineligibility and lack of empathy for the suffering masses to start his presidency by carrying out measures that will lessen the burden and sufferings of Nigerians but that is never his intention. Propaganda has risen to a higher level, where propagation of lies becomes the hallmark of this administration. The caricature, Akpabio made about the suffering masses in one of his numerous derisions of the poor defines the feeling and body-language of Tinubu's administration. In all of these, there are youths especially here in nairaland still strongly supporting Tinubu and are ready to drag to any length anyone saying or doing anything against Tinubu. Inflation at the moment is in alltime highest. As a family man, if u are earning anything less than atleast 150k sorry is ur name, yet minimum wage is still 30k while Tinubu and his cronies continue implementing billions of severance packages and allowances to themselves My question now is, this Tinubu'supporters 'wetin dey ginger dem'? Is it tribe or they are getting well paid. It will be understable if the latter is the case but still, that will amount to blood money because Nigerians in reality are dying in their numbers on account of this government clear insensitivity and exceeding impunity... |
Dont make any mistake about it. The trend is what we are witnessing. Today majority of Nigerians have awoken - the type that drag even world leaders out of patrotism for this country's sanity. The coup detat that is becoming a trend all show that not just Nigerians but Africans are yearning for change. The ECOWAS threats to Niger is anchored on brigandage and unity of the African leaders to continue in their plunder of Africa orchestrated by the Western nations but there comes in a man's life where enough is truely enough. The judges of the presidential tribunal should understand that Nigerians await their judgement. This time around is not gonna be business as usual. Nigerians await the true Justice. If Tinubu truely wins, let his mandate be upheld and if not, let justice prevail... |
I feel the only ingredients for most Nigerians in the unity of this country is because of the Igbos. Aside the Igbos, evety tribe will be fighting for autonomy |
If u follow their threads and comments u will find out they dont mean well for themselves and certainly not for others. For one to love others, one must have self love but these guys are looking for a way out of their misery but instead of doing what most of them have quietly done in the past and keep doing, they are looking for whom to go down with. |
