I ve watched and followed their trajectory. When one bemoans the impunity in Buhari regimes, they will start attacking you without any reasonable cause. When the impunity of our politicians are expressed they will immediately start attacking. Even the massacres of the innocent youths at the Endsars movement they were even blaming those massacred for coming out to be part of the peaceful rallies. They were part of the same people who were attacking and writing all sorts of negativities about the Jonathan's administration. I even read some of them attacking the young boy in the Ekweremmadu's organ saga while exonerating Ekweremmadu. Are these set of people really Nigerians because I don't get it. It's not like they were individually given millions atleast to lift them off of the suffering in the land. I know few of them who are into professional begging that to even feed two times daily dey hard them currently. |
You can ask - Burma boy Wizkid, Davido, Fireboy, Dbanj, and a host of others in different fields . Igbos don't need government patronage to get to the top of their games - Obi Cubana and you known them young Igbo multi billionaires who started from the very scratch, unlike the likes of Dangote, Adenuga, Otedola etc who got to the top through government patronages and induced monopoly. The good thing about the Igbo man is he can show u road simply by been around, he doesn't need to even trust you |
simple87:then Ogbeni send me some pounds if u know what pound sterling looks like so i can send u some Canadian dollars if u ve ever heard of it |
Moh247:let's hope the victory which u and me know is so flawed is sustained because the recent proceedings isn't looking good for the so-called winning party forget the rhetorics |
lexylaw40:u lack wisdom and exposure. So u 've not seen Americans and other nationals working in Nigeria. |
oyatz:Dont swallow hook, line and sinker everything the west shoved at you, use d brain u were given |
Some southweterners believe that Tinubu will now be feeding all of them morning afternoon night. I dont see that happening. I see Tinubu trying to please the north more. Everything have clearly become about the north and those northern groups even boast about it. So if Tinubu ends up the president, his age and health status will automatically embolden the vice Shettima. Even if he is healthy and strong enough to pilot proceedings, we will wait to see who becomes the chief of staff and whose interests he protects or serves |
isan:while people in ur region are dying in their numbers of avoidable poverty |
DevilsEqual:my dear forget some Ajebota who sat in the comfort of their offices giving stats. If u ve been to these places urself, u would certainly know better |
As I stated in my earlier thread, this is not intended to cause mischief but to open the eyes of people to what's going on in different parts of Nigeria because we must begin to hold our leaders to account. Southwest in the last decade have overtaken the northeast in the number of poor inhabitants. There are some places you would visit in southwest, u wonder if there has ever been any form of government presence. In Ekiti, district areas like Egbe Ekiti, Aisegbe Ekiti, Agbado Ekiti, Emure, Igade, Iyin etc. These are district areas that borders many villages and settlements The level of poverty in these areas is so disheartening. And this is how it is replicated all over the states like Osun, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo and even some parts of Lagos that have larger concentration of Yorubas like Makoko. I want us to appreciate what our people in their massive numbers are going through in the midst of plenty. We must begin to create this awareness because their has been too much cover-ups for political gains which only benefit the elites while worsening the condition of the people who need their stories to be told. |
simple87:are you then part of those that fled to Benin Republic. |
totit:I believe u 've not even been to Oyo talk more of Ibadan.U will just sit in ur little room and be lifting fake reports from the net |
totit:those kangaroo reports by south western media where u pay a very hungry whiteman to write few paragraphs for some kickbacks. Are u talking about the real Ibadan we know or the one in ur delusion |
GeneralPula:very laughable. Instead of holding ur leaders accountable for their diversion of public funds meant to give Ibadan a new look u re here celebrating decay. How can dilapidated and rusted structures be monuments. Is that what u have in developed cities of the world or other places didn't fight their own wars |
totit:that's why Nigeria continued to be a terrible place. Here we are dragging about Lagos that is far behind other African cities like -Accra, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Cairo, Kigali, Capetown, etc after many decades of federal and colonial presence as the nation's capital. That's why a tinubu would be bragging over his obvious failed governorship administration where he only succeeded in converting 2/3 of Lagos resources to personal ownership and all u Yoruba youths would do is to continue praising him to ur own detriment |
totit:u re always in this forum to drag Igbo vs Yoruba. May be u can start by stating ur home state and the village u re from and also pics of ur family compound in the village. I dont think the real Lagos indigenes behave the way some of u guys behave |
gidgiddy:and even help others see those opportunities |
simple87:u seem a very little boy who have never stepped out of ur birth place. If u grow up try a little travelling for exposure |
raskymonojendor:i won't be surprised every single house in that 'magacity is owned by ibos |
sreamsense:which State are u from? |
WorldRichest:i pray someone is around u because i hardly undertand this ur bile this afternoon. Pls if anyone knows this guy Worldrichest, please do well to contact his family to monitor him |
chidiokay:there u go again promoting Lagos while leaving out other states in yoruba land. South easterners post pictures of Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi but when u guys post, u only post pictures of Lagos. I think that is so wrong because u re doing a serious disservice to other states in southwest. Let the world see what's going on in other southwetern states for the needed actions. If the people need to vote all those politicians out let the people decide that. |
Some Nigerians especially our Yoruba brothers are always bashing Igbos what they are doing in the southwest region believing igbo land is unliveable but that's hardly the truth. Southeast zone is one of the most developed zone in even development. Southeast migration has less to do with the situation in the southeast region |
That Igbos are in every nook and corners of the world is more of their industrious nature and the struggle to make it big. An Igbo man will come to a barren community and make it fertile land for himself and the indigenes Igbos are the most welcome in every community here in Nigeria because their presence alone brings development. Any community that lacks Igbo presence is clearly a dead community |
WorldRichest:believe u me, even if southeast develops like London, southeasterners especially Anambra people will still be pursuing money even in the the remotest area of Nigeria |
yemmight:believe u me, a lot of people have woken up. Even though the forces of evil is still fighting back just as we witnessed during the Lagos state governorship election. You think those agberos pursued only non indigenes, they equally pursued southwesterners who would not support them |
WorldRichest:I think u re breaking the rules of decent engagement here. |
WorldRichest:please mind ur write-up.This is not an ethnic bashing rivalry. This is about our leaders who have continued to fail. We need people to know the true state of things for future decisions and engagements |
yemmight:Well some southeast states in the last 20yrs have picked up in terms of development. A state like Anambra 20yrs back and beyond was really in a sorry state. Everywhere then looked terrible. No roads, no electricity, no good health centres, until Ngige came on-board. Ngige then in the 3yrs he was in charge, constructed some major link roads but not enough to change the outlook of Anambra. It was in 2006/2007 that Anambra started wearing a good new look and these good look were replicated, even in the remote areas of the state. Then a state like Enugu continually has a very beautiful capital city (042) but the remote areas were largely neglected until 2015/2016 when Ugwuanyi came on-board. Though Chimaraoke did a good job in his local government Nkanu West but Ugwuanyi took the real development we are seeing today to Nsukka and some other areas. Ebony under Umahi has been witnessing massive development in Abakaliki and surrounding areas. Imo has been doing well all round more than 20yrs back and Abia hasn't be doing so good like the other south eastern states |
Forget the outcome of the presidential election INEC declared, a lot of Yorubas not just in Lagos voted Obi There were many Obi supporters in all the southwest states. The truth remains, we all suffer the impunity of these politicians. It knows no tribe. |
I dont intend this to be an ethnic bashing but my intent is on the need to continually hold our political representatives accountable for their failings.. I ve been to all the state's in Nigeria as a former commercial driver. I ve been driving till last year when I decided to settle down on the business I now operate.. Of the six geopolitical regions, southwest remains the least developed outside Lagos and very few areas in Ogun. These few areas in Ogun are those bordered with Lagos or those areas Lagos has been for decades trying to annex. Outside these few areas and Abeokuta, Ogun remains very underdeveloped and look more like a farming area with very poor looking inhabitants especially the indigenes of those areas. Non indigenes appear much more prosperous. The Ogun state experience replicates experiences of the other south western states like Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Oyo. An ancient area like Oyo is expected to be more developed, yet it still has some structures and monuments from 19th century even in the capital Ibadan. There are presence of rusted, Brown roofing sheets covering many residential buildings. Ekiti itself remains the least developed with many of the districts appearing like farm settlements. I think south westerners have focused much more on Lagos to the detriment of the other south western states. It is high time these politicians that run these states are held accountable for their absolute failure in representation |
NzogbuNzogbu:believe you me, Igbo even give their lives for the betterment of this country |
Ok?
