ikennaj44: claims and counter-claims everywhere, if opobo are ijaw, why do they speak igbo as their native language instead of jaw language, do igbos Colonized them? it is a well established fact that the first king and the founder of opobo was an igbo man, who settle in on empty land where they presently are today, it is blatant lie for an inter-trade between two group to completely oust out one anothers language, atleast the alleged dying language must survive because not all the inhabitants of each groups are into said trade, it those not sound logic to rational minds. Nigeria was colonized by Britain, have nigerians lost their native languages.
below is a what an opobo lady said
http://www.africabusinessworld.com/opobo-stepping-forward-to-claim-their-igbo-heritage/2015/10/27/ Opobo dont speak igbo as their native language they speak ibani. Like birom people in jos speak Hausa but they are not Hausa. Igbo is a general language spoken by everybody in Bonny/Opobo but their main language is ibani so dont mix up. |

pazienza: The Ottams were the aborigines of Opobo, they were Igbos. the Opobo and Bonny people are not Igbos, student of history knows the aborigins bought so many igbo slaves and through this contact their language was aldultrated. The original language of these people is not igbo and almost in extintion and it is called ebgani. Moreso when king jaja came to opobo he met some people there. When u hear the language the nkoro people speaks u cant say opobo is igbo |

UmuEri: Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal Chairman Justice Ambrosa is President Muhammadu Buhari’s inlaw
Facts are beginning to unveil on how the kicking out of Mr Nyesom Wike as Governor of Rivers State by the election tribunal was perfected by the Presidency.
A CALL TO SAVE THE JUDICIARY
According to highly placed sources, one of the strategies used was to move the tribunal from Rivers State to Abuja where they can be ‘remote controlled’ by the centre power and watched closely.
Prior to this, a source confided in this medium that Justice Pindigi who was the first tribunal judge was hurriedly kicked out, after he was alleged to have been compromised financially by Wike, which set the pace for the onslaught that removed Wike.
As soon as Pindigi was shown the way out, we gathered that a judge close to President Muhammadu Buhari was shopped for, to be the Chairman of the Rivers State Election Tribunal.
The dice fell on Justice Suleiman Ambursa, from Kaduna State to perform the complete job of nullifying the election completely instead of the partial nullification that some members of the judges agreed to, stated a source. Ambursa we gathered reliably is married to the President’s wife, Aisha Buhari younger sister
http://scannewsnigeria.com/featured-post/rivers-state-governorship-election-petition-tribunal-chairman-justice-ambrosa-is-president-muhammadu-buharis-inlaw/ Rubbish, president Jonathan appointed the three tribunal judges before election, was he blind or is he naive? |

denko: What is wrong with this buhari, instead of him to concentrate and defeat boko haram he is trying to bring more trouble for himself, how come the rivers people voted their legislators and rejected their governor. this buhari of a thing should be very careful. these are two distinct election so their jugdment can not be thesame, moreso, the elections were not conducted thesame day. |

Gun shot is like a door bell in this country. Security else where in the world are IT compliant but ours are use for twitting facebooking and badooing. Our security agencies should wake up from their sleep before the country will be over run by hoodlums. |
