flat head do Biafra have a single drop of oil? thieves, land grabbers. don't ever add my south south and especially Rivers State to your failed agenda.
oladeebo: Although a barrel of crude oil can be produce at $30! and the same barrel will be transport through Nigeria territory at $15/barrel! A barrel of crude oil produce in Biafra will cost $45! production fare + transit fare!($30+$15=$45) Ukraine/Russia to Europe gas scenario, Northern and Southern Sudan scenario of crude oil transit. if the oil price product is $50 in world market, Biafra will benefit $5! only on every barrel produced! Biafra how market?
flat head , why won't they win when you say you wont vote on that day. Afonja's are coming to vote APC. Ndi Anambara nto!!!
DonHummer: True talk... APC no de do election , Na pure senior rigging. Don't be surprised if obiano loses the forth coming election in Anambra state, don't just be surprised I said.
Billyonaire: I had no idea. I visited Bisi Akande at his country home at Osun, then met with Tafa Balogun at his country home at Ila-Oragun. I have been to Itire, Ede, Oshogbo etc. No one there mentioned that Tinubu is from Osun, but when I went to Lagos Island, I was shown where Tinubu grew up.
take your time to look at the state of origin of the yorubas who are calling for restructuring you will be shocked that osun men and women are at the fore front of this agitation, even Tinubu is an osun man.
Billyonaire: Why are Osun people silent on the restructuring drama going on everywhere now ? It does seem that all is well with them.
that's the pathetic thing natural resources are still under the exclusive list of the federal Government. that's why the call for economic restructuring must be sustained
Billyonaire: I am interested in Gold Mining. How can our government allow that State to suffer inability to pay bills when the mines are untapped?
you and I who is the hypocrite? you just have to wake up to reality the world is moving ahead to renewable energy some have given time line on fossil fuel already, or you've not noticed the price of oil already? keep deceiving yourself, like i told you earlier, i went to NEPC office in portharcourt for export certificate for export of GOLD i was advice to go to Osun to do my business with a licensed gold miner. so keep dreaming
beamtopola: Hypocrisy is when you have a car which uses water instead of petro from crude oil Hyppocrisy is when the richest woman in Africa makes her well from a water well instead of an oil well. Hypocrisy is when oil is no more valuable but you chose to build refinery as a form of bringing investor to logos. Hypocrisy is when water exportation make Nigeria no 1 economy in Africa instead of oil exportation.
just last week i was referred by Nigerian Export Promotional Council to go to Osun to get gold from a licensed dealer. and you are there laughing, don't move with time wait and make mockery while others are busy exploiting it. very soon with the bill in the house of assembly that will allow state some right to this minerals by that time some of us would have consolidate our positions.
beamtopola: Ahahahahah liar! Gold? And no one is hearing from them? Only what we and international communities are hearing is what I m saying, oil. If you doubt the strenght of oil, ask Saudi Arabia.
MUMU IDIOT REMOVE OSUN FROM THAT YOUR USELESS LIST OF POOR STATES OSUN HAVE COMMERCIAL QUANTITY OF GOLD. YOUR CURSED BAYELSA WILL DRINK ITS OIL WHEN NO ONE IS THERE TO BUY A
beamtopola: I am from bayelsa, ogbia, opume community.
The election tribunal sitting in Abuja today upheld the Election of Hon. Magnus Abe of the APC winner of the Rivers south East Re-run Election. Magnus Abe in his speech, thanked all those who voted for him and those who did not, asked his opponent to join him in developing his senatorial zone and Rivers State at large.
KratosCorp: A hungry rat ironically thinks he has more political information than the leader of senate caucus, and the entire senate who affirmed Mr. Abaribe's observation. Stupidity is really comic.
i hope he mentioned his predecessor in his speech for 90% mobilization and completion of the project before his administration.
chimere66: GOVERNOR WIKE'S EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE HAS JUSTIFIED HIS ELECTION SAYS JONATHAN
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has declared that the excellent performance of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has justified the support he received from all political stakeholders for his election in 2015.
This is as Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike assured the Former President of the continued unwavering support of Rivers people, saying that he will never be abandoned.
Speaking during the Commissioning of the Second Nkpogu Bridge as part of the second year anniversary of the Wike administration, Former President Goodluck Jonathan said: "Governor Wike has performed wonderfully well ".
He said: "I have no regrets that Governor Wike is the governor of Rivers State. I am happy that the governor has opened up Rivers State through projects.
"Wike has shown so much commitment to infrastructural development. The whole of Rivers State is now a construction yard."
The Former President pointed out that the appreciation for the excellent performance of Governor Wike goes beyond party lines. He recalled that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo after visiting the state also stated that the governor is delivering on projects.
While appreciating the people of Rivers State for the support they gave him throughout his eight year involvement in national politics, he expressed happiness for the invitation to commission the important Second Nkpogu Bridge.
In his address, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike said that Nigerians after the two years of APC have seen the difference between good governance and false promises.
He explained that the decision was taken for Former President Goodluck Jonathan to commission the second Nkpogu Bridge as a clear message to the nation that he will be be abandoned.
He said: "We are not politicians that when anything is wrong, they sing different song. Rivers State is a different place. When we believe in you, we believe in you. We are different from other Niger Delta states. We can say it with all authority.
"We cannot come out in the public and begin to castigate our own. Those of them who do that, should have a rethink. For us, it doesn't matter the blackmail against Jonathan, we will continue to back him".
Speaking further, Governor Wike said: "Those who think that they have promises from those who think they own Nigeria should be careful. They will use you and dump you at the appropriate time ".
Chairman of Monier Construction Company, Senator John Mbata said the company constructed the two bridges which have linked Nkpogu to the business districts of the state capital.
Commissioner of Works, Mr Bathuel Harrison said that the Second Nkpogu Bridge will resolve the traffic challenge in the area.
Governor Wike after assuming office constructed the first and second Nkpogu Bridges to link different parts of the state capital.
Simeon Nwakaudu
Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor, Electronic Media.
Okocha101: In this time and age, Governor Nyesom Wike celebrates miniature projects as though they were mega infrastructural strides of the 21st century. If the Governor of oil-rich Rivers State, with a population of over six million people, pops champagne at the construction of a leisure park and a small artificial lake along Aba Road, Port Harcourt, what then will local governments and communities celebrate?
At a time when cities world over are achieving major infrastructural breakthroughs, it breaks my heart to see that we are still dancing 'azonto for simple aesthetical works. This administration has received billions and billions of naira for two years now, yet, all it can really boast of are just routine road maintenance jobs (inside some parts of Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor LGA), flagging off of fathom projects just before elections, hosting of everyday social events, dirty media fights, et al.
It is not easy to dream, it's even harder to dream big. The vision of Rivers State, is too big for a man whose main preoccupation in life is political power. Wike cannot see River State beyond PH and Obio/Akpor. No, he can't! And That is the reason why the Greater Port Harcourt City Project has been completely abandoned; Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) crippled; Monorail Project abandoned; Songhai Farm, Banana Farms, Fish Farms, have been either destroyed or helplessly deserted, the list goes on and on.
Since the State is a subdivision of a nation or a federated political entity, it then follows that developmental projects in the State must be tailored along national thinking. Rivers State cannot be operating like a local government area in Nigeria! A Governor that has woefully failed in his primary responsibility of securing lives and properties in the State, is only daydreaming, if he thinks that a leisure park or a small artificial lake, situated in just one LGA, can becloud the rising tide of insecurity and hopelessness in the land.
In terms of the provision of basic amenities, Governor Wike has not shown capacity at all, as per what his responsibilities really are. Take power supply for example, since his inception, Wike has not in anyway complemented the efforts of the federal government in that area. No one hears about rural electrification from the mouth of the governor, save political rhetorics and wild vituperations aimed at perceived political opponents. Wike does care whether that young family somewhere in a remote village, is suffering in perpetual darkness or not; no, he is the Governor of Port Harcourt, or if you like, Obio/Akpor LGA.
The standard of education has been on a steady decline since Wike became Governor. While the Governor is spending billions renovating few schools in PH and Obio/Akpor, hundreds of model primary and secondary schools built by the former administration, in the remaining 21 LGAs, are rotting away in massive dilapidation. Free and compulsory education is no more, as Governor Wike has reintroduced tuition fees and levies in our primary schools. Scholarships have been unceremoniously withdrawn at the behest of the Governor, forcing our children to become refugees abroad. Education is suffering terribly under Wike.
Healthcare in Rivers State, can be equated to what is obtainable in war-torn countries. Recently, three pre-term babies suffocated and died inside incubators in the State-owned Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (BMSH), due to lack of power supply and the absence of emergency staff at night. Primary Health Centers all over the State, have been reduced to nothing, thereby escalating the already high rate of mother and child mortality. The task of providing quality and affordable healthcare is one which no responsible government should ever toy with, but that is not the case here; healthcare is in ruins in Rivers State.
While the natural environment in Rivers State is groaningly dying from unchecked toxic pollution, the business environment is equally drowning in the sea of insecurity, multiple taxation, and decrepit infrastructure. The black soot that is hovering over Rivers State, can be likened to the darkness that has pervaded the length and breadth of the business community in the State. How bad does it get? Kidnapping, killings, incessant robberies and orgies of violence, have overrun the once blosoming garden city. All thanks to Wike!
Revenue generation is at its worst ebb since the creation of Rivers State. Today, apart from falling monthly federal allocations coming to the State, the oil hub of Nigeria, gets paltry sums as internally generated revenue monthly. During his last media chat, Governor Wike was seen boasting of how the State makes six billion naira or so every month as IGR. I am not sure that the governor is aware of States like Lagos, that rakes in over thirty billion as IGR monthly. Wike should go and learn from them on how not to govern a State like an LGA.
N.B: Rivers State under Wike, neither has a developmental blueprint, nor a budget.
where are all those who are claiming they have video evidence, documents etc as proof that the money belongs to Amaechi? we are still waiting for you people.
i thought the Minster for Transport is lying not until i hard uncle FFK agreeing to the alligation but cunningly trying to justify how it was spent, there is God o! if not for kwurrupt judges like the Rivers woman Ajumogobia that took money and strike out his case based on technicalities the likes of this man should be in jail by now fighting his appeal. we are still waiting for his evidence that the Ikoyi gate loot belongs to Amaechi
Liar Uzuoma has no oil, rather its an impact community, all the wells in Uzuoma, Obeama, Okoloma, Ayama, Egberu are dry wells so stop telling lies and spewing trash on NL
wite111: Here is what they won't tell Nigerians about the FG N5, 000/month stipend to the poorest and most vulnerable in the country through the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) of its Social Investment Programmes (SIP).
1. It is N5,000 per household, not N5,000 per person.
2. Meaning that if a household is TEN persons, it will be N500/person.
3. World Bank is contributing about $500m (about N25bn) to the scheme.
4. FG is constributing N5bn.
Now you have been told and it is left to you to allow yourself to be deceived.
crazy country the same judge wike guarded his house like megard watching over his masters house the other day, is the one passing judgment on matters he knows he' had no jurisdiction. wonders shall never end ira nu.
rem44: The people Of Tai LGA took to the streets to protest Amina Zakari’s insistence not to conduct fresh elections in the whole of Tai LGA.PDP supporters who stormed the streets argued that a Federal High Court had ordered INEC to conduct fresh elections in all the wards in Tai LGA.Contrary to that, Amina Zakari plans to conduct fresh elections only in some parts of Tai LGA.
See photos from the protest and a copy of the court verdict below
Most of you are confusing other suburbs that had developed and joined PH eg obio akpor, etche, ikwerre and eleme as ph. PH town is predominantly ijaws and ikwerre is a minority.
proeast: Being Igbo gives me the right to talk about them, just like every other Igbo sub group.
attackgat: The OP keeps saying Igbo, Igbo, Igbo........... Niger-Delta, Niger-Delta. I wonder if he relises that Igbos are the single largest ethnic group in this so called Niger-Delta?
Dakad: I'm not and I will never justify whether the projects do far justified the loan he had taken so far. And I will dispute your aguement but in this few months he has tried. He has been able to finish most of the road that Ameachi started and he has been able to initial few and completed it( Woji road, Rumuorolu ets) though as said earlier im not so impress with the quality
Had PH changed? Please i am still waiting to see a new thing been done by this govt with over 50b loan he had collected already, apart from re-coating of roads.
Dakad: I'm not a fan of Wike or any politician but anyone in PH or Rivers can attest to the fact that Wike is making us of the loan. Nothing is wrong in taking loans for capital projects. And his achievement in road project is impressive. However, I have little issue with the quality of the road especially the open cutter system couple with our maintanance culture. The quality of the road is low especially when compared with Ameachi. But it's understandable, the state revenue has drop drastically. He should improve the quality of the roads.
In summary, the guy is trying and nothing is wrong with borrowing for capital projects
Oil was firt found in a town called araromi in present day ilaje in ondo. But exploration started in oloibiri
snailspeed: Yesterday, Buhari, while in katsina told his people that Crude Oil have not been discovered before the Nigeria civil war. But Crude Oil was discovered in Oloibiri in 1956, the Nigeria civil war was fought between 1967-70. Anytime you pass through the location where Oil was first discovered in Oloibiri, you will see the epitaph close to the Oil valve where the date and year was visibly engraved.
Even if someone deliberately removed this epitaph with its engravings, the dates and year of the Oil discovery are still prominent in our history books and records. You can now see why they deliberately removed history curriculum from our schools to ensure our children never learn the truth.
This wasnt a slip because he went on to use it as a reason to support his stand of one-nigeria. The 1966 coup and the eventual civil war was all about oil. It has always and will always be about oil.
MBAChieves: The singer in an exclusive chat with Pulse.ng following her husband's accusations yesterday, the singer said;
Fabu! Who go do the test? Time bomb ticking........
"I have never cheated on my husband...not with Don Jazzy, not with Dr Sid, not with 2face..and I am willing to take a lie detector test. I have never cheated on my husband. Not with Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, 2face Idibia or anybody. I have never cheated on my husband, and Tunji knows this. He knows that in his heart. (She breaks down in tears) Sometimes in the studio, one of the things that Don Jazzy and some of my other label mates say is that I am really good with interviews, with being diplomatic and knowing how to carry myself with difficult situations. This hurts. I have seen comments of what people are saying about me. It is not true."
