(1) Extremist Islamist (with foreign Islamic terrorist links) that kill both Christians and perceived liberal Muslims. This one is religious ideology
(2) Fulani herdsmen who kill mostly middle belt communities who unfortunately are majority Christians. There is no religious ideology in this one

The notion of a "Christian genocide" erroneously has merged (1) and (2) as related

US & Trump would not resolve anything as they don't understand the issue. I am not in the north but from some discussions with northern Muslims and middle belt Christians. The issue is twofold:

(1) Extremist Islamist with strong affiliation to well-known cross border terrorist entities. These ones are ideological and will kill both Christians and perceived "liberal" Muslims

(2) Fulani herdsmen. The attacks are mostly on middle belt farming communities, and this issue is tribal with no religious undertone. Unfortunately, the majority victims of this one are Christians, but this is in no way linked to (1)

(1) and (2) have been combined in a wrong tagging of Christian genocide because the attackers in (1) and (2) are Muslims whereas only (1) kills from a place of extremist religious ideology.

Population of Nigeria is 240 million
top 20% wealthiest Nigerians would mean top 20% of 240 million = top 48 million wealthiest Nigerians
Lagos Population is 20 million. 89% of Lagos residents = 89% of 20 million = 17.8 million
Edo population is 5 million. 58.1% of Edo residents = 58.1% of 5 million = 2.9 million

therefore, out of the top 20% (i.e. top 48 million) wealthiest Nigerians, Lagos residents contribute 17.8 million which is 89% of Lagos population
similarly, out of the top 20% (i.e. top 48 million) wealthiest Nigerians, Edo residents contribute 2.9 million which is 58.1% of Edo population

is it clearer now?

On the other hand, I'm aware that despite the income disparity, some of the Kano (and Kaduna) folks can be very rich in billions of Naira NOT billions of USD like the Forbes-listed Aliko Dangote and Abdulsamad Isiaku-Rabiu, BUT they don't like to make too much noise about it based off of their Islamic principles and perhaps for security reasons. Many rich farmers operating in the relatively safer areas of the North West for instance are very reserved but when you get to know their turn-over per hectare with their all-year round large-scale farming, you'll marvel.

having many billionaires in a state won't help you in the referenced stat. Having few people earning less than 200k per month would.
