Timoleon: Yes. Isreal was created ON Palestine while displacing Palestinians.
Before creation of Isreal in 1948, Arabs, Jews, Christians, Muslims in that corridor held one passport ‘Palestine’!
This was confirmed by former isreali prime minister Golda Meir. Na Zionism, colonialism and apartheid change status quo. The identity of Palestine was associated with Jews. Palestines only took that identity in the sixties. If you call a levant arab palestine, before 1967, he/she will consider it an insult. |

Softmirror: I have not read any where about the insinuation made by GEJ. The article by Garba is about patronizing Buhari to accept Boko Haram 's invitation to be the mediator between them and the government which he rejected.
Yet I still don't understand what the thread aims at achieving. GEJ mentioned that Boko Haram nominated Buhari as their negotiator. Garba Shehu countered that that no such thing happened. An article by Garba Shehu in 2012 reveals that Garba Shehu knew and acknowledged that Boko Haram nominated Buhari thereby revealing Garba Shehu's hypocrisy. Is it clear now? |

favor914: Do not twist the facts. Jonathan nominated Buhari to negotiate. & he declined.
Why will Jonathan even make or bring up such a statement in 2025? That man still remains clueless.
Now he is saying o, I didn’t mean it as such, I was misunderstood. don't you lots understand English or read. According to Garba Shehu's article, Boko Haram nominated Buhari to negotiate on their behalf. Buhari was to negotiate on behalf of Boko Haram and not on behalf of the Federal government. |

Any help in matters of Christianity is disobedience to your own religion! how about muslim women with christian husbands? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Had The Opportunity To Sit On An Interview Panel Recently, And All I Can Say by monex(m): 8:03pm On Oct 04, 2025 |
Hamachi: I had the opportunity to sit on an interview panel recently, and all I can say is—many of you are simply not ready for the job market.
Let me break this down:
You couldn’t answer basic interview questions, yet when asked if you had any questions, you’re asking, “Is there any other role apart from the one advertised?” Are you here for a job or shopping around?
During the interview, you were literally pressing your phone while being asked a question. I had to call your attention before you awkwardly tucked it between your legs. Really?
You say you currently earn ₦750k, yet you’re interviewing for a role that pays ₦300k. Make that make sense. Why are you here?
You casually told the panel that your current job is your “Plan A,” and this one is “Plan B.” Since it’s a hybrid role, you’d use your free time to run your personal business. So, you’re applying for a backup plan?
You claimed to be a CFO in your previous job, but you couldn’t explain the most basic accounting principles. How does that add up?
Again, you couldn't answer key questions, but you're confidently asking if there are other positions available? Focus on the one you're failing at first.
Your sister called during the interview, asking to speak to the panel because you’re running late for a church program? Is this a job interview or a family meeting?
You said your Excel skill is 8/10, but when given a simple task, you were frozen—just staring at the screen saying, “I’ve forgotten it.” 🤦🏽♂️
Please, if you’re going to attend interviews, come correct. Dress well, prepare well, act like you want the job, and most importantly—respect the process. was it AI that shortlisted the interview candidates or humans were involved. There are things you can detect from a resume and background check |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Canada, UK, Australia Recognise State Of Palestine (pix) by monex(m): 7:14pm On Sep 21, 2025 |
Botragelad: This is both ridiculous and disgusting. Israel decides what happens, and if these countries are so determined to recognize a made-up place, there’s plenty of land in Europe or even parts of North America where they can set up a “Palestine.”
No rational person should ever reward terrorists with a state. If that’s the standard, then anyone could just invade a country, slaughter thousands, cry “genocide,” and expect to be given a state in return. By that logic, should we start rewarding Boko Haram, ISIS, and every other terror group just because they claim to be fighting for some ideology?
At the end of the day, this so-called recognition is meaningless. The dismantling will continue, and Israel will do whatever it takes to protect the people of Yisrael. since you didnt allow them have a state you cannot attribute Hamas's action to that of the state of palestine. Canada's position is the most balanced view of this whole issue. |

WTF is Obi of Lagos in a city that has his own king? The creators of that title are just trying to be silly and forment trouble where none existed.
I hope they can now rest after they have been put in their rightful place by their rulers at home. it is actually Eze Ndigbo Lagos. The Obi of Lagos thingy is unique to this story. Obi isn't a traditional Igbo title. You have Oba of Yoruba titles in other states similar to Eze Ndigbo and Sarkin Hausa or Seriki Fulani |

FreeStuffsNG: Nice.
I don’t accept why it is only the Palestinians that should make concessions again. They must think Hamas will be naive to hand over to PA after paying with blood for the liberty of Palestinians.
The only thing that can be a deterrent to the apartheid Israel against Palestinians is if Palestinians are armed and have a potent military arm like Hamas.
Where is Southern Lebanon today despite hosting international forces? It's currently being occupied by the IDF so this draft proposal must not come with the condition that Hamas disarm if they disarm, they are gone forever! It is a war they won with arms, they will be stupid to think otherwise. Beyind the positive optics of the conference, trust the west and Saudi Arabia at your peril. The war is a proxy war between Iran and USA
I support that the hostages be released though. once you bring Hamas into this equation, you nullify everything. A demilitarised Hamas is unfortunately a non-negotiable. Oct 7 was a mistake by Hamas |

Helinuse: Funny that you didn’t realize that the so called “Palestinians” are not Arabs as well. They don’t look anything like Iraqis or Saudis. They look more like Moroccans, Algerians, Libyans, etc. Because that is truly who they are. There were no people identified as Palestine until 1967. There was only a geographical area called Palestine. In fact, if you look up Palestine football team pre-1947, it was basically Jews. The etymology of Palestine is from the Philistines who were a Greek tribe from the Aegean |

Politics › Re: Constitution Review: Governor Otti Opposes New States Creation (Video) by monex(m): 9:51am On Jul 21, 2025 |
Stomoney: Wahala
The state creation is very necessary in the south most especially Osun ( Ife/Ijesha to be cave out), Oyo (Ibadan to stand alone as a state) and Ogun (Ijebus to stand alone, maybe by doing so they will start having good roads). our state creation was along tribal identity lines rather than economic viability. Tribal identities do not last more than 7 generations or at most 200 years. Meanwhile the economic impact of thoughtless state creation will be felt for much longer. Nigeria only needed max 5 economic regions. We have a bloated civil service due to state creation. When you create a new state, expenses & administrative overheads increase but income does not. Why should Portharcourt and Aba be in different states or regions? They are tied economically but yet tribal identities put them in separate states/regions. |
