These titles for diasporan communities don't only exist among the Igbos. For me, if you should have a title, then it should be something that translates to Consular General or Ambassador.

I know there was joint communique signed by Yoruba Obas last year to ban Oba titles for Yorubas in diaspora. Similar to what these Ezes are doing.

An international force backed by the UN is responsible for security to forestall new attacks on Israel and stop possible Israeli incursions
A plan for recognition of Palestine as a state (contiguous or non-contiguous) and for democratic elections. PA isn't very popular in Gaza. You need a government with credibility

there will be enough internal pressure on Netanyahu to agree to the terms
Hamas might contest the PA taking over in the interim but will back down if there is a clear plan for elections in the near future

Kashmir is the contested area claimed by both India and Pakistan. Part is controlled by India and the other part by Pakistan ...but both lay claim to the entire area so there has been a stalemate going on for decades with several flare ups. Like North and South Korea border with a heavy military presence.... the same scenario is at the dividing lines in Kashmir. There had always been flare ups but this one was different. A terrorist group from the Pakistan side attacked a tourist site on the Indian side of Kashmir killing dozens. India's head of state condemned the attack and blamed it on Pakistan ... claiming the terrorists were sponsored by Pakistan and vowed to retaliate.
Pause. Let's say terrorists from Chad came across the border (we know they do) yesterday and launched an attack in Borno killing dozens. As President ... would you send the NAF to do some bombings in Chad?

It was a princely state. British gave Princely states the option to join India, Pakistan or stay independent. They chose independence but were attached days later by Pakistani militants

India can not force them to be Indians. Regardless of what transpired in 1947, the people of Kashmir should be allowed to choose where they want to belong. They clearly don't want India.

I agree most of them want independent state. There is a growing islamophobia among Hindus so i imagine they wouldn't want to be in a state that would increasily discriminate against them. It was the British that sold Kashmir to India warlord in 1800s. Forget about Sikh. Sikhism is a religion not tribe. The people could come religion but they can't change their geographic location. Just like Yorùbáland. Yoruba were once majority traditionalists and later became Muslims and Christians majority. This doesn't change their tribe and location.

Again, it is very simple. India should allow kashmir to decide who they want to merge with(India or Pakistan). UN should force India to allow referendum. Simple

India agreed to Kashmir's independence originally until Pakistan invaded an independent Kashmir and Kashmir sought help from India. India agreed to help on the condition that they join India. Pakistan has invaded (crossed the agreed Line of Control) the Indian administered Jasmir multiple times and have allegedly supported terrorist attacks in the region.

Most of the militant attacks in the region actually kill Kashmiri hindus (pandits) and have driven most of them from the valley. Pakistan are far from innocent my friend.

Many Nigerians on this platform have zero knowledge of what's going on. It is about land in Kashmir which is claimed by both Pakistan amended India before British partitioned India and Pakistan. So India now occupied Kashmir just like Israel occupied Palestine. Majority of the kashmiri are Muslims and they align with Pakistan.

It is a very simple thing. Since India is the occupying power it should simply allow referendum for kashmiris but it refused and forcefully rule over them almost 80 years now. So naturally kashmiri would resist Indians. So there have been Hindutva extremists that have been oppressing Kashmir Muslims for years and it doesn't make headlines but you can see many videos on social media. So some days ago unknown criminals launched attack on innocent people. I heard that they were tourists but I'm not sure. So India responded by launching military attack on Pakistan without confirming who are behind the attack. In America, many are criticizing Modi seriously for his action. He's behaving exactly like Neyanyahu. So the attack on tourists was very suspicious. It looked like false flag attack.

Bolded is not totally correct. Kashmir is split between India, Pakistan and China. India considers the part administered by Pakistan to be Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). Pakistan considers the part administered by India to be Indian Occupied Kasmir (IOK), India considers the part occupied by China to be Chinese Occupied Kashmir (COK). Pakistan and India agree on a line of control which divides the IOK from the POK.

Please note that Kashmir was a Sikh kingdom (although with a Muslim majority populace) before the western Kahmir rebelled against the maharaja as they wanted to join Pakistan rather than being an independent kingdom as earlier agreed. Today Kashmir territories have some level of autonomy in both countries.
