Politics / Appeal To Gov Sanwo-olu By Bimbo Daramola by moneywealt: 1:37pm On Feb 04, 2020
Hmm..So I saw this ... #MY #OKADA #EXPERIENCE AND THE - #NEW #DESTINATION #LAGOS #VISION

I believe our city of Lagos must be sane in all ways from traffic situation to safety of the residents, I believe in the new destination Lagos and I commend all the visionary leaderships that have sustained this vision, somewhat Lagos is the only place where there is some level of agreement about the developmental thematic thrust of succeeding administrations from Jaga himself, through Raji Eko o ni baje, Akinwunmi Itesiwaju Eko and Sanwo Eko a gbe wa o.

There is a central vision, goal and clarity about the direction where Lagos should head.

Now if I tell you that I do not know the menace that comes from Okada, Keke Marwa(coined from the name of a former Lagos MILAD - General Buba Marwa) I will be untrue to myself, indeed sometimes they are irritants.

Now I am here thinking of Sandra whose passionate appeal I could not walk away from as I watched her say she has OND from Yaba Tech in Lagos, self sponsored out of riding the more organised GOKADA, and hoping to proceed to the HND and in the background of the interview were many young men and girls , co- GOKADA riders with Sandra, all of them looking forlorn, sad and drained because it looks like their survival before the elusive and imaginary future that we often say belongs to them, the youth is about to be taken away from them.

Now let's be clear about this, things are tough.

I salute the resilience and undying spirit of the Nigerian youth, they bear their yoke with uncommon candour and holding on to the tiny thread of hope, even as the hope recedes in the distant horizon daily.

Really who likes to be an Okada rider having put all of 4 to 5 years to get a degree, from a shoe string budget, coped with challenging times for parents and then they get out of school and no jobs.

Make no mistakes about those glowing lyrics entrepreneurship in our country is difficult, very difficult, even some of us who could be said to be privileged out of ruggedness still push so hard to get things done, nobody said it will be easy should not equate that it will be so hard.

Ok take a look at this ban, any young man who does delivery business and built his business model and client servicing around using Okada has just lost his dream, his investment and opportunities.

With that decision, the door on his entrepreneurship dreams to survive unemployment only just vaporized.

I know of hinterland in Lagos where Keke Marwa comes to the rescue of Pregnant women who suddenly went into labour, provision of buses wont address this reality, that means lives of baby and mother may be imperilled.

So My dearest Egbon and Gov Sanwoolu at the above event in this video had spoken about social inclusion but ideas to regulate and make it a service sector ( no matter how irritable, which will be controlled a little as he said) I dont then think it will be so nice to sack all Okada and Keke Marwa in one fall swoop.

I know the pains of hunger. I know what it means to wake up and not know where your next meal is coming from PARTICULARLY when you have families to feed, nuclear and extended, I know what it means to lose a child to inability to get 3000 to treat typhoid, these are the realities that these people may be subjected to from this morning, not to talk of the hundreds of thousands whose lives and means of livelihood are intrinsically weaved around this vilified fringe, unwanted but undeniable service industry.

There is NO way Government will be able to provide enough buses for all routes in the city and her many interiors. No way.

No government anywhere has, otherwise there will not be gaps that the Ubers and Taxis are filling today.

Unfortunately everyone cannot afford this.

My personal experience so many years ago, I had a presentation to close at a multinational and the head of the organisation gave me 2pm and he said he was going on holiday, heading to the airport after my presentation.

I got ready all decked out, and sorted in my car with the driver in good time to make the trip to the office in Victoria Island, only to get to Anthony and there was this MAAAD traffic, and I said I will wait a little and time was closing on me.

God knows I needed that transaction that December.

What did I do, I called three Okada, one to take my jacket, another to take my materials and I held on to my laptop, I made it there with 25mins available to freshen up, change my Shirt and wore another from the bag that one of the Okada guys took for me.

That way i was able to beat the gang up of the devil.

As the Lord will have it, the blue shirt I changed into was the first thing one of the panelist complimented, I spoke for 10 minutes and they said I should give them some time, I did and when they called me back in, it was Congratulations, your award letter will be ready tommorow.

So I have God to thank for the miraculous intervention of the Okada who by the way i could not tell where they are today, who I only paid 2000 naira to get a job of 14million naira that I could have lost to Lagos traffic!!!

We must think of one another. "Ta ba nge igi nigbo, ka fi oro ro ara eni wo" i e if we are felling trees in the bush, let's also imagine if those trees were humans.

Government must show some reflective appreciation of contextual and contemporary realities before some decisions are taken, the society is not made for those who have escaped but for those still caught in the unfortunate web of the icy place of life's challenges and they are unfortunately in the majority at the base of the triangle whose lives and what matters to them are basic and not self esteem as it is for the guys at the tip of the triangle.

My heart bleeds when I see people suffer, and I just want to lend myself to do the minimum I can to ameliorate the challenges of these people who are human beings too.

Some of these riders will never get close to Alausa or Bourdillon for contracts or favours , they just want to live, if we ignore, we will raise more dare devils out of hate and resentment that no orientation or pontificating sweet nothings can change.

The sad spectacle and reality then will be that then nobody will be immune.

Please My Egbon give this a little thought, there are a lot to consider in making a decision that will throw many people into despair and darkness of life where they are struggling to come out from .

Every life counts.

God bless Lagos. #City of #Opportunities and #dreams.

God bless the visionaries behind Lagos.

God bless Gov Sanwoolu.

#AFRICA2020- THE No.1 #AGENDA- #ONEUNITEDAFRICA - #OUR #VISION: #OUR #DREAM

The Sleepless Nights Has Started!!!.

So the year we all prayed for is here. To God be the glory.

The first day gone and the second day is here already.

It really got me thinking that before we know it the middle of the year will be here.

So I know that my days are going to be stretched, my nights will be short because of the vision and the dream that we have committed ourselves to by the grace of Almighty God.

Bishop Oyedepo once said, big dreams scare. But we have a trustworthy and trust earned Bigger God.

So I have started ahead of the project team's first meeting, all through the holidays we were all busy at different locations , working the phones, setting up appointments across Africa, checking up the details and putting our humongous costs outlays together.
But we trust God.

When that sultry afternoon, on the 8th of March 2012, as a first term Member House of Representatives, barely one year old in the Nigerian National Parliament, and move tha motion coming by way of matter of national importance, I was angry with developments in a country hitherto our cousin, about the treatment brothers inflicted on brother Africans, I did out of duty and obligation as a believer in Pan African Philosophy.

I had since left the parliament and moved on to other things in life and was rattled the morning of September 2, 2019 when there was another major outbreak of violence that led to loss of lives of Nigerians and nationals from other African nations, with attendant loss of property. Even though the years in between had recorded what was described as minor skirmishes.

I was down cast and crest fallen. Because early in my life I saw Africa and countries therein like an extension of Nigeria, no thanks to Ozidi king Sunny Okosun anti apartheid songs, or Ebenezer Obey's Brothers and Sisters I'm going back to my home song, describing Africa as home, and unshaken in his faith that one we shall all meet in Africa, Africa MOTHERLAND!

And the patriots like Thomas Sankaras exploits, kwame Nkrumah, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere, Kenneth Kaunda, Nelson Mandela who I met and our own Olusegun Obasanjo's pan African commitment and legendary roles for the unity of Africa.

To me the xenophobic attacks signalled the imminent death knell of all that our forebears had lived and worked for before going the way of the saints.

So that evening when I got a call to speak to this matter on African Independent Television (AIT) on the strength of the motion I had moved seven years earlier, my gut instinct was that we should all go our different ways if our Africaness cannot secure guarantees of safety on the continent and we continue in acts that will debased humanity, my wrenched gut reaction was a severance of doplomatic ties, but my worry was , will we still have a continent if all 54 nations severe links?

What happens to the potentials and prospects of our people , the hopes and dreams of our forefathers who spent their lives pushing for the enthronement of the idea of #ONEUNITEDAFRICA?

What will become of our shared history of struggles, through slavery, colonialism and other typifying and typical historical experiences that defines us as Africans?

As I brood over this as I was about leaving the set that day , the lady anchor asked me a simple question with a look of is this the best we can do? Just to talk and condemn on Television everytime an incident happens ?

Bemoan our fate and leave it until another outbreak with all the attendant negative consequences on lives, businesses, relationships both between peoples and country?

The retaliatory action in Nigeria was the last straw that jolted me back to that question couple of days after, that confirmed the dimension and the extent this could assume if we do nothing.

So I chose to do something, make an effort and see how far we can go, I believe we must push back.

I had always known that the easiest way for evil to fester is if there are no resistance to the territorialism nature of evil.

So I started and began to think about ways forward.

To the glory of God as we started, we began to get people of like minds who also felt that we had the duty to push back, we agreed that GOVERNMENT TO GOVERNMENT bilateral and diplomatic efforts were very important and necessary and the President, the Honourable Minister and indeed the federal government must be be commended for moving in and doing all the government can do.

I had additional drive to do something in my own small corner when I saw the altruistic effort of #Bar.#Allen #Onyeama the proprietor of #Airpeace #Airlines support for Nigeria and Nigerians in evacuating Nigerians from the line of death possibly.

I salute him and salute Speaker Gbajabiamila and Members of the Green chamber for honouring this rare Nigerian for undertaking that effort without being proded but driven by pure patriotism. A rarity among businessmen of these days.

So our effort is to complement what government is doing by introducing PEOPLE TO PEOPLE robust engagement, new PARADIGM toward conscientising and crusading for a rediscovery of our Africaness and redirecting our energies and focus to that one goal that a united Africa has greater opportunities, possibilities and prospect than a divided Africa.

So we started with men and women of good faith who have laboured hard in the sensitisation work and other ways to bring this project to the point where it has become the only major organised form of crusade and conscientisation efforts against black on black violence, promotion of peace and amity among brothers on the continent today, supporting Nigeria's lead role in advocating for Africas well being.

I must acknowledge the consistent support of persons who have thrown themselves into driving the vision like our lives depend on it, one thing is clear we are making efforts to ensure that Africa and her opportunities do not get consumed by resentment and needless hate PARTICULARLY now that we have intelligence of another likely outbreaks already in three other nations and a repeat if we are not careful on the continent at anytime.

We have our eyes on our place in history and like Peter Tosh sang, time will prove us right or wrong.

Apart from the SIX initiatives for execution on the platform titled #AFRICA2020- #ONEUNITEDAFRICA, I personally do not know of any other ongoing engagement efforts that is anchored on PEOPLE TO PEOPLE modules that will take this matter of BLACK ON BLACK VIOLENCE to the streets of Africa and to real people and not left to resolution within diplomatic meeting rooms.

The real people are on the streets of Africa. And that is where hate is birthed and deployed for maximum harm.

We have that obligation to connect Africans on the streets PARTICULARLY and elsewhere and Bridge the information and knowledge gap between the younger generation and the values of Pan Africanism as espoused by our forebears.

So as we are getting our plans together, I want to first and foremost acknowledge and appreciate ALL THOSE WHO HAVE GIVEN US THEIR WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT on the social media, i.e Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, Thank you for your kind words, comments, shares, and likes, we are deeply grateful.

Be assured that we are just a vehicle to deliver on a noble cause in the interest of all of us Africans, to protect our Africaness, Our Continent and Humanity.

We know a BROKEN FAMILY PORCELAIN WILL NEVER BE USEFUL TO ANYONE, INCLUDING THE PERSON IN WHOSE HANDS IT FELL DOWN MISTAKENLY OR WAS DELIBERATELY THROWN AWAY DUE TO ANGER!

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Every like or share or comment is part of the crusade and conscientisation, so please keep following and putting in your little bit and get on the social media platforms to follow us and the project as it crystallises.

May I use this medium to make it clear audibly that this is not a Congressman Bimbo Daramola's project, it is not aimed to achieve any pecuniary purpose or to promote me or for any "notice me , I dey here" purpose, I am just pursuing a vision that all of us may just find ourselves in its cosy embrace one day.

It is not about me but us, all of us Africans.

I must use this medium to thank my co-visioners, who have worked and still working hard, from Mr. Lanre #Aribisala, to Pastor John #Shuaibu, Tosin Jaspiro #Ogunkuade, thanks for your commitment, Dr Dixon #Agboola, Dr Bukky #Jayesinmi, Yinka #Aderemi, Hon.Ayodeji #Daramola, #Jude the Chairman, (keeping him under wraps) Michael #Irabor, #Kunle A. (Keeping underwraps), #Anig..Mike(under wraps), #Augustine Bukari Mumuni from Ghana, #Edith A from South Africa, Femi #Adebanji, My secretary #Chichi, Our corp member #Adeyinka, Wale #Adegbite for the hard work on this project, I am very grateful to you all.

We have entered into another phase, the year to give birth is here, I am sure we will double our efforts, and do all we can trusting God to accomplish this vision.

I also want to use this medium to express our gratitude to Senator #femi #Ojudu and staff for the invaluable encouragement.

Lastly, I must as a matter of deep appreciation express our gratitude to the vision holders, because they are persons whom we have had the rare privilege of presenting the project to and they have graciously endorsed the initiative, these endorsements by these calibre of VVIPs clearly validates the fact that we are on stomping around like a headless chicken.

To get the buy in of these dignitaries evidently shows that the nobility of our purpose and cause is not in doubt. We are very grateful indeed.

We acknowledge the gracious enthusiastic welcome, reception, audience and princely and priceless endorsements of two former Presidents of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President #Olusegun #Obasanjo GCFR, President #Goodluck #Jonathan GCFR, Oonirisa, His Imperial Majesty, Oba #Enitan #Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 1, The very warm and affectionate, calm and confident Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency #Geoffrey #Onyeama, Foremost Pan African His Excellency Alhaji #Bamanga #Tukur CON, Proven Afrocentric High Chief #Raymond Aleogho #Dokpesi, Ace Journalist and Publisher, Basorun #Dele #Momodu and former Presidential Spokesperson and Reknown Journalist #Olusegun #Adeniyi.

We are so so grateful. We are not taking your gracious endorsements for granted, we are going to do all to justify the privileged endorsements and make you proud by this effort to heal and restore our African unity. A rennaisance of Pan AFRICANISM is afoot.

As we go into the year 2020 and we set sail, we are counting on all men of goodwill and faith to join hands with us to make our continent safe for every African from Capetown to Cairo, Lagos to Libya as we push to reunite Africa and Africans and make brothers, brothers again.

Thank you all

Politics / #ekiti: The #proposed #airport: #ado- #ekiti- #akure #road:the Singaporean Dream by moneywealt: 3:55pm On Oct 21, 2019
#EKITI: THE #PROPOSED #AIRPORT: #ADO- #EKITI- #AKURE #ROAD: THE #TWO #ARCHAIC #BRIDGES ON #POLYTHECNIC ROAD: THE #FLOOD: #DEBT #PROFILE AND NEED FOR AN #INTERGRATED #DEVELOPMENT #AGENDA- MY #THOUGHTS.
First and foremost, let me say i am writting this because all through last night (20th-21st October 2019) i kept tossing around on my bed. The much needed sleep took a flight.
Why? Over the past two weeks i have been greatly disturbed because of the emerging realities vis a vis my beloved state.
More importantly i am disturbed because my comments again will be interpreted by those who need to earn more epaullettes on their shoulders using me and my comments as the basis, those with ebbing relevance, those who need attention boost, will have another substrate to feast on, i.e Bimbo is attacking Governor Fayemi, Bimbo is not in APC and all the Bimbo this, Bimbo that, a la carte meal will be served hot!
So to put this up, i had to struggle with this and my conscience, i wrote this piece and deleted, started again and corrected severally so that it does not come as an attack on Governor Fayemi, his administration, and the APC , because that is not my intention. Little minds discuss people...
I know the cheapest thing for the latter day "JKFtokantokan" people is to latch on everything and give it closet interpretation of, Oh its sour grapes, he needs attention, oh he is sulking because he did not get ticket bla bla.. well does it bother me? For where! I don commot for that lane...allow me to flex..
But I owe myself this obligation as a "small" opinion leader, but equal joint stakeholder with thesame amount of equity and stake in the Ekiti state development, wellbeing and wellness project, and so it is a duty call for me to at least bring up what i may feel need to be given a second look by the administrators of our state at this time.
In any case, I was in the strategy group for 8 years anyway, Member Transition Committee in 2010, and the Governor knows i will always say what i feel may be worthy of being considered without fear and not keep mute because i want to be loyal!
Real loyalty is telling the truth, not "all correct sir"!
I hold no grudges and no beef.
Governments and Governors will come and go but that entity, people and geographical expression known as Ekiti will remain, like St Paul i think said.. "..on this foundation i have built, let everyone becareful how he builds on it... "
In whatever we do today, let us be moderated by today's realities and future imperatives, indeed these two indices are the basis on which modern developmental agenda are premised upon.
No state or nation state can run on knee jerk approach rather a coordinated , realistic and factual, steady and well thought out steps.
I am an Ekiti man first and foremost before becoming a politically conscious person, and a member of a political party, and of course political parties will always come and go, where are the UPNs, NPNs, SDPs, NRCs, ACN, today? But Ekiti is still there.
The political party is therefore a vehicle to access power and power not for the sake of it but to impact lives of the people.
I have bothered to say all these so that my motive for pointing out these will not be misconstrued, though i know it will still, but after all said and done i have my conscience to please and Almighty God to account to for my actions and inactions.
This is the backdrop against which i mearsure my present actions and measured all my actions when i had the opportunity to serve my constituency as Member House of Representatives, and i did my little bit.
So being out of government regardless of circumstances will not dim the obligation to show care and concern for what i believe may be good or worthy of being looked at again, after all our state anthem say OHUN A BA JO RO NI .. OHUN A JO RO NI LEYE..
Ekiti we are informed has a huge debt overhang which is not exclusively from the present administration, and this is a reality that has stunted development of infrastructure and manpower.
I am scared that attempting further exposure to more loans regardless of how soft the conditions ay be, may put us further in a dire strait.
I appreciate the efforts of the present administration to turn around the fortunes of the state in quick turn around time but realistically limited , but any exposure to any loan that is not tied to short term regenerative projects will be counter productive, my thought.
I honestly think the idea of the Ekiti Airport may be good in the long term but in the short run and granted our parlous and perilous financial situation need a second look, particularly when it does not appear like things will change anytime soon.
Airports are great investments! Huge prospects, but there must be justification in tangible terms, either for cargo or human, today i am not too sure that there is any compelling business consideration that will sustain the investment into an airport in Ekiti.at least as at now and in minimum of five years, No airline will fly empty planes to appeal to sentiments.
How many airlines fly into Akure today? most times flying with a quarter of the capacity and today the cost of ticket, the passengers are complaining aloud at about 50thousand Naira.
When Overland started, it was being subsidised by ondo and Ekiti states to sustain it, and today i think that arrangement has collapsed, are we going to do that to keep the proposed airport with our present economic reality in the state?
No doubts i will like to fly into Ado Ekiti on my personal trips home, just as it will be for other Ekiti sons and daughters, coming home , and parents and students of our prized institution, ABUAD, (A big Congratulations to Baba Afe and ABUAD on the occassion of her tenth convocation) but this goes beyond my preferred and personal guarantees of comfort and convenience but what is the short, medium and long term implication on the financial situation of my state?
I am inclined to think the present administration will be commended and saluted for wanting to pick up the gaunlet to fix the road from Ado- Ekiti- Akure (Ondo State), i really do not think Dr Fayemi alone should fix it, his counterpart Governor of Ondo state both of the APC extraction should come together as a matter of priority and fix that road in the interest of all.
Ado- Ekiti to Akure can be returned to the 30-40minutes trip that it used to be growing up.
If a little investment is put into fixing this road, and turned into a good dual carriage , we would have spent less compared to having to go borrow to fund and finance an Ekiti airport.
If we do this we will be killing two birds with one stone, one, we would have saved our state addditional debt over hang that will become a huge albatross on the neck of succeeding administrators of our states when the present one would have taken a bow, two, the airport that we want to borrow to fund will serve less than 18percent of our very rural population, but fixing the ADO - AKURE ROAD will serve more of our people commuting between that route on daily basis for economic and social activities.
What the privileged class will have to bear is 40 minutes driving time and sharing the good road with us the less privileged, in anycase they will be in their Lexus 450s ! So not much to lose, indeed they can savour our scenic view , appreciate our picturesque landscape dotted by the Olosuntas driving through Ikere Ekiti.
Now i must also commend the Governor for signing into law the projects continuity bill, though i have not seen the fine prints , the intention is noble to prevent abandonded projects , but the projects that will be passed over must be projects well thought out and not phantom , that will do us a great deal of good in turning around the fortunes of our dear state.
With this law in place, the stage is set for this administration to start thinking of a long term development agenda for the state, a plan that will be robust, coordinated , intergrated, systemic and pragmatic.
This law just signed is visionary, and the next chapter is what are the developmental issues that must quickly be on the front burner, infrastructure wise? Social ? Economic etc
Prime Minister Lee kwanYew transformed Singapore from underdeveloped third word to first world because of a robust workable developmental agenda that has kept Singapore in reckoning till this day long after he has gone.
Paul kaigame is fast doing that today with Rwanda. We can do that with Ekiti, there will be Ekiti after Governor Fayemi, and that should be of interest to all.
About two weeks ago the flooding that took over parts of the state and leading to the loss of homes, properties and i am told a life, should not be allowed to happen in another year from today , with a short term developmental agenda that takes care of that reality, because flooding most likely will get worse in the years ahead with the global warming realities.
So there must be a strategic mapping of flood plains and path that can be worked on with a ring round drain duct and channnel and path way to avert that in future. This will feature in the developmental agenda.
The two bridges that were affected two weeks ago, causing major discomfort need immediate attention than the airport so that our state capital does not get submerged in future, indeed the road from Ijigbo to Ijan can also go into thesame consideration like the proposed thought for the Ado-Ekiti - Akure Road, though federal road too, but we cannot afford to continue to imperil the lives of our people , who commute daily on this road. This a road that does not do great credit to our prized institution ABUAD , founded by our foremost patriot. This is a major imperative.
Lastly the present administration came into government to "restore our values" will also do well to take on that frugality part of our values, by ensuring that the little that is available is stretched for maximum value to the benefit of all in short, medium and long term, and this can only be done where we are constrained to cut our cloth according to our peculuar realities, and to put in place very quickly a systemic developmental plan to boost the local economy, this is a must do NOW, the promasidor -ikun diary is in the right direction, but a lot more opportunities sure do exist, the N100 revenue projection around each Okada rider will definitely not fit the vision of Ekiti state that we desire to compete and do well in the 21st century.
The time is ripe for a more pragmatic review of the way into our collective greater future as Ekitis.
The stage is set for our own Lee Kwan Yew.
A greater Ekiti is possible.

Politics / Congressman Bimbo Daramola Says Picture Can Speak More Than A Thousand Words by moneywealt: 11:57am On Aug 29, 2019
Congressman Bimbo Daramola wrote:

#When a #Photograph #SPEAKS:

The chinese have a saying, that a picture can speak more than a thousand words.

When I saw this picture, coming at a time that the cyberspace is pouring torrentially with bad press about 82 Nigerians just busted by the FBI for cyberfraud, I heaved a sigh of relief.

I said to myself this picture is a good PR statement no matter how little, at least it says all Nigerians are not fraudulent, if one of us Dr. Akinwunmi could have the ears of the "unusual" President of the United States.

This picture says it. Whatever he may be saying and for POTUS to also be willing to listen is suggestive of the fact that Akinwunmi is bold, confident, and could hold his own against anybody in the world.

I am sure not a few people outside of Nigeria , maybe Americans who care to, most couldn't be anyway, would have asked who is that guy, and of course that question will lead to the biography of Dr Akinwunmi as the President of African Development Bank , and of course will end in he is a Nigerian, same Nigeria!!

This picture also shows contemporary relationship bonding strategy for maximum impact in international diplomacy, it's a contemporary tiny details of inching into indelible place in the consciousness of world leaders, these days world leaders try to give that sence of buddy buddy relationship, no arms length handshakes anymore, but hi--fives, back slapping, hand in hand walks etc, that is an effective way of bonding for maximum value .

This is the tenor of world leaders camaraderie

The days of "fear and trepidation" is gone, but this only happens when you are sure footed leader , knowledgeable and conversant.

I recall with nostalgia that President Olusegun Obasanjo had demonstrated this attitude of making other Presidents know that "you are not superior to me" severally, recall Presidents Bush 's trip, and many of his official foreign trips.

With that attitude, it impacted our national voice , place, standing and presence in global reckoning.

I recall that when I was shooting the documentary of Olusegun Obasanjo, I told him I have not been able to secure audience with President Nelson Mandela for his perspective . So President Obasanjo said we should be on that trip to Racism conference in Durban, and we will stop by to see the great MADIBA in Jo'burg.

We got to his residence and the great MADIBA walked out to receive him, backslapping and hugging like lost and found friends, and Madiba threw his hand round Olusegun Obasanjo's neck as buddies would, while he also wrapped his around his mid riff.

Needless to say, he just said MADIBA, this young man is working on a documentary and wants your perspective, President Mandela in his guttural voice Yes Yes I will be glad to, ending OLU is my friend and a great support for the struggle to free South Africa. That nailed it and the appointment got booked .

I recall that NTA was glad to use that picture couple of times to the refreshing psyche of Nigerians when we returned home, somehow pictures like that could accentuate our psychological state to know that our President or any of our nationals is that well accepted by other leaders around the world.

It will do us a little bit of good to see more of this bits and pieces of "image supporting" pecks from time to time going forward.

It kind of helps. At least for feel good effect that all the apples are not rottened.

Politics / Congressman Bimbo Daramola Tribute To Senator Solomon "YAYI" Olamilekan At 50 by moneywealt: 12:56pm On Aug 12, 2019
THE #SPARKLE OF #50 #STARS #CANNOT BE #DIMMED.

Congressman #Bimbo #Daramola Tribute to #Senator #Solomon "#YAYI" #Olamilekan on His 50th #Birthday.

Nearly One year and couple of months ago when I turned 50, I recall that before stepping out of my room after my effusive gratitude and appreciation to my creator, the next thing I did was deep introspection and reflection about my 50 years sojourn on this side of the great divide.

The Bible admonishes us to number our days so that we can apply ourselves unto wisdom, and I believe one of the wisest things to do in life is to reflect and think back.

Because life is a journey, and like all journeys, there will be many experiences, there will be moments one will go through a stretch plain when the journey will be smooth and you will be tempted to put on the auto cruise.

And there will come moments when the journey will cascade through valleys and the traverse will be through undulating plains, but the ultimate desire is to arrive at the destination, ahead of the terminal point, when you come way and it's been a good ride, you look forward to the other half with joy.

In my moment of introspection at 50, I tried to visualise the journey and a number of personalities and events come out so graphically to me that I will be eternally grateful to God that they happened, either meeting with personalities or events that happened.

Today I am compelled to highlight this young man popularly known and addressed in Lagos, Ogun and by all his friends by the alias YAYI.

By that alias, I dont know how he came by it but if I interprete it in the context of my yoruba language , it would mean, I guess a "#pleasant, #warm, #amiable and #affable #personality.

Senator Soomon Olamilekan is generically all of these but to me much more.

True to his name Solomon, going by the biblical king Solomon, YAYI has lived up to the identity of the biblical Solomon as a wise man.

For a man to have had such a chequered political trajectory after qualifying as a chartered accountant, and going from there to become two term member Lagos House of Assembly, both times I guess was chairman public accounts, a committee popularly referred to as "juicy committee", and proceeding to the House of Representatives, (2011-2015) there again he became chairman Public Accounts, and while some of us got bruised and bloodied in the pursuit of the interest and well being of the people on the altar of our party starting from Action Congress that eventually metamorphosed into today's All Progressives Congress.

We did not succeed at getting our seats back in the house of representatives, through "Solomonic" wisdom and good representation, YAYI did not come back to house of representatives but "promoted" to the Nigerian Senate.

While at the senate (2015-2019) he was being groomed for the Oke Mosan seat in Ogun State, well he did make his mark with that move, he pushed hard, but guess it was not time, but he got the ticket back to the Nigerian Senate.

Going by the experiences of many, without "Solomonic" wisdom, his political career may have taken a downward spiral from that "unrealised" bid but YAYI survived.

Now to further buttress his wisdom, one day we were talking and he taught me a proverb that till now I have held close to my heart because it has proved to be so true.

I was sharing with him on how our society could be so twisted that you could be so venerated today and tommorow stripped of the benefits of that veneration if the tide turns, without recourse to whatever good or service you have rendered.

YAYI listened to me intently and said to me "Broda mii, #won i #ki #yago #fun #eleshin #ana" meaning my brother, nobody paves way for the man who rode the horse yesterday if he is not riding the horse today!!- what a wisdom!

Till then , never heard of that proverb before, maybe if I had, I would have understood how to survive fair weather friends and personalities, whose memories are conveniently short, those one would believe or assume should be eternal repository of good works, so wrong, anyway thank you YAYI for that lesson.

Maybe If I had known and incorporated this proverb earlier in my political career, my staying power would have been greatly enhanced with capacity to navigate any political tide and stay afloat.

Late but not too late.

Now back back to the man Solomon Yayi Olamilekan, I met this young man as one of newly elected members from Lagos State to the House of Representatives in 2011 on the platform of the ACN.

No matter who you are YAYI will disarm you with his warmth, very infectious, if that does not cut it, he will with his ability to listen before talking, if that does not , he will with his witty remarks and above a a smile or laughter that transparently shows you his kind of heart.

Above all if all these virtues fail in endearing YAYI to anybody, his unfailing key is his respectful nature and humility, he would never be short of saying "egbon mi " egbon mi" i.e my senior brother to anybody he perceives to be older than him and to the younger ones he still gives them recognition that you will be inclined to think you had been acquainted for years, little wonder I began to call him "broda miii" or YAYI NI OOO! as his supporters call him

I will be surprised if YAYI can hurt a fly. My Personal opinion and to the extent that I know.

I remember when his opponent was alleged to have gone to shell his campaign office on Adeniyi Jones, I know YAYI has capacity and firepower to fight back but he held back.

I saw the bullet holes and the shattered windows,YAYI could have deployed the Lagos establishment might that he had been a part of to his advantage if he chose to fight back but he chose to walk away, I remember asking him why he did, because with that provocation I am personally not likely to, well i am not Solomon anyway.

So we went on into the 7th House of Representatives and the placement for committes got underway, I had the good fortune of being well grounded into the then Aminu Waziri Tambuwal Speakership- Emeka Ihedioha project and it was obvious to all, as it is my nature. You will know where I stand.

One day as we were walking to our offices, I remember, alongside Yayi, he said "Broda mi sebi you and Deputy Speaker Emeka Ihedioha now Governor of Imo State are said to be friends that predates the house, I said yes, he said I am interested in Public accounts committee, and as a chartered accountant with cognate knowledge from Lagos, he said he was super qualified and I should enlist the support of DS alongside other efforts since he said he heard DS (usually Deputy Speakers are influential in selection of leadership of House Committees) was looking in another direction.

I said no problem. So I moved in and did my little bit and escalated it to then Speaker Tambuwal now Governor Tambuwal of Sokoto state. Well as the Lord will have it, I cannot take credit for anything, just did my own bit and it pleased God, when the list came out the then Honourable Solomon Olamilekan emerged as the Chairman Public Accounts.

From then our relationship took a new turn and we related as brothers, he was a fantastic chairman in the management of the committee, a good stakeholder manager, he did his job most professionally, engaged the Government MDAs well, not once was he found wanting, nor involved in any scandal.

One thing was that the committee was always busy and worked hard, he added credibility to the house and the committee, not once did members complain about his style, he was not high handed, very tolerant and operated an open door policy to members, both of his committee and non committee members.

I am aware that YAYI was the shield for a number of people.. Most of our colleagues at the 7th house will affectionately call him a good man leading the pack of Chairmen.

I recall one time when crisis brewed between some chairmen and their deputies like yours truly, and a rebellion was afoot, the public accounts committee under YAYI was not among.

Out of the chairmen of committees, he was in his own class, if he was not helping with employment for constituents, he was bailing out of tough times or facilitating a trip to enhance legislative exposure for colleagues. The nature of real and true leaders.

Thereafter our bond grew and we became tighter, at different crunch moments YAYI had come through for me, particularly when he found out that one of his benefactors is also somebody i hold in a very high esteem and have profound regard for, in person of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. That sort of made us closer.

YAYI had come through for me at different times, in the run up to my several elections, he will just send me a text or call me, Broda mi Bawo lo se nlo,? He will ask,? And I ll say Bro I'm keeping on o!, he will usually end by saying Olorun a gba fun wa, and end with Niyi will get in touch, and within reasonable time he will come thro. Thank you bro. I remain grateful.

I recall our various moments, the night after his office was shot at, we were together, we gisted late into the night before we parted, he will go attend to the teeming supporters and peep "Mo mbo o broda mi" he would say.

When ticket was to be denied him, to return to House of Representatives as a man of faith he said he had prepared to go on a family trip to Dubai with his wife before Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola told him to turn around and he ended with a ticket to the Senate.

No good work is lost on God, recompense is sure.

He rewards.

And by thesame token no armour is strong enough to hold down nemesis for evil doer, but YAYI has secured a good place for himself with God and people because of his heart for humanity.

It's not a surprise that the grace and hand of God has been manifest in the life of this young man, it would have been a big surprise if God has not lined his path in life with great fortune and successes granted the fact that he is a very caring man, affectionate husband, doting father, kind hearted, dependable brother and friend.

Well nobody can be perfect, I have felt somewhat unhappy a few times in the course of my association with this great guy but not enough to obliterate the many times he had come through as a brother and friend for which I remain eternally grateful.

My grouse at those few moments were not out of entitlement mentality rather more of a fixation about the YAYI I have grown to accept and love deeply in my heart and the way I have taken him, which is not compelling to make him act in any way if he does not, rather he is entitled to act according best to his own best judgement, of course he has moved on to become more relevant, visible and maybe more powerful, a two time senator and all that, sometimes all these could change any mortal PARTICULARLY in the shark infested water of Nigerian politics that we play in.

Regardless YAYI is still well endeared to me having earned it till this moment, wether we see or converse as we used to or not.

I will tenaciously hold on to the great memories of our times together, I am nostalgic about them as I write this tribute, in themselves the memories will remain soothing just as I know that my heart wishes and pray for more glorious years as this young man today turns fifty and pray for more years of greater accomplishments, sustained relevance and impact.

As it is my practice and my dye in wool nature, I will forever remain grateful to anyone that had been there for me at any crucial juncture in my life's journey , not by size, nature or magnitude of what was done but the depth of humanity that made such a person to oblige me that support at that moment.

YAYI belongs in this category of such persons and I will continue to celebrate you for who you are and have been, but today I thank you more for that proverb that you taught me " won ki ki yago fun eleshin ana", this is about the best and the greatest gift you and our relationship has delivered to me.

Thank you so much broda mi.

On this day, I want to join your friends, family and your teeming supporters to wish you a happy birthday, and pray for your continued wellness and well being and more grace.

Happy Birthday my Broda...Yayi Ni ooo

NYSC / How I Made 10m Naira With Digital Marketing by moneywealt: 12:07am On Jul 31, 2019
MY DIGITAL MARKETING SUCCESS STORY!

In the year 2012, I resigned my appointment with Airtel Telecommunications at Abuja as a Call Centre Representative after a thought-provoking online session with Kemi-Ann Vivacity in the month of February. She had enlightened me positively that the BEST BET is to embrace ENTREPRENEURSHIP rather than wait for a paid job that does not make me (YOU) happy in all ramifications. She stressed that if you are not excited at work, you are not yet at the right place and that if you are not pursuing YOUR OWN DREAMS, you can never be wealthy.

I did an assessment of WHERE i was as at that time, WHAT i had dreamy fascinating targets about, for myself and my family before 2020. On a very hot afternoon after receiving about 200 customer service calls with a hot head, i removed my plantronics headset, tossed it off and disconnected my Avaya to cool off at the rest room.

I spent 5 minutes in the toilet amidst rampaging thoughts about my pitiable future and had solitary weeps because it was down on me as at that moment that truly, that was not the place for me.
Off I made that momentous decision to quit and work for ME.

By October of the same year 2012, I got about 10m Naira Digital Marketing contract for a Governorship candidate through Yomi Awoyale someone I had never met before up till now but who believed in me and push funds into my account which I delivered with so much intensity and professionalism that earned me respect and a solid business relationship span of 7 years.

From that day henceforth, I had never looked back as I kept on building my own dreams with some mentorship and partnership from host of great icons in the industry like Ifiok Nkem, Michael Abegunde and of course, all of the inspiring leaders, role models depicted in the flyer below whose success stories i had learnt from everyday of my life.

Politics / Alh Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya Aka Mc Oluomo Emergence As Nurtw Lagos Get Closer by moneywealt: 9:35am On Jul 22, 2019
AS ALHAJI MUSILIU AYINDE AKINSANYA A.K.A MC OLUOMO EMERGENCE AS NURTW LAGOS CHAIRMAN GETS CLOSER…..

The National Union of Road Transport Workers is an independent Nigerian trade union that serves the interests of transport workers in the road transport sector, by calling for collective obtaining and pushing for social stability for all workers in the transport sector as defined in its constitution.
The union has its leadership both nationally, statewide and at the grassroots. It is about to be led in Lagos by the Lagos socialite Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo.

The leadership is guided by the President and day-to day activities run by the General Secretary who continues to encourage and support between members and officials to make the union appear strong and vibrant. The union raises fund through several methods, but the largest of these is through support and willful contribution of union funds. The core functions of the union is to protect the rights of workers in the transport sector. Entry into the union is voluntary, however the dues collected are used to run functions in the union and support members. The youth department under the women league ensure youth programs to educate and sensitize members on good service delivery and customer relation.

One man whose popularity, charismatic nature held everyone spellbound in the Lagos chapter and towering beyond the negative tirades launched against him is Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, some call him Alhaji, some call him ‘MC’, but we all know him as MC Oluomo. born at Oshodi area of Lagos, the place where he is now popularly known and acclaimed leader.
In an interview with ‘Within Nigeria’, when asked about his birth, here’s what he said;
“I was born at No.11 Oshodi Road, at Agbo ile Atere. My daddy is from Ejigbo, Lagos State. I related to Ejigbo, Isolo, Oshodi, Igbeba. Those are the 4 areas I am linked with. But really I was born in Oshodi. That is where my father was born. My dad and some others established that place. My dad married from Agedegbe family and he had a child from there. That is why all the Obas of that area honoured me with the Oluomo title.

About 22 Kings honoured me then. It was at Isolo, at Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka. I have the certificate with me. I grew up in Oshodi. But when my dad died, my mum took us away from there because of the polygamous nature of the house. At that time, I was at Afolabi Primary School in Oshodi. I was in Primary 3 then at the time my dad died. My mum now took me to Abeokuta, her hometown. I was in Abeokuta when I did my Primary 6, at Olu Efon Primary School in Abeokuta”.
Again, his known alias, MC Oluomo came from one Iya Alaye who now resides in Canada; hear from the horse’s mouth;
“The name MC that people call me started from when I was in school. It was one big woman who named me MC when I was young. She is now in Canada. She is a Mama Alaye. Then, when we were young we used to play a game called Game and Watch. My name is Musiliu but she turned it into MC. We used to move from school to school challenging ourselves so she would tell people to go meet that MC Boy. That was how the alias stuck.”

The popular National Union of Road Transport Workers leader is one of the most popular people in Lagos state, almost as popular as the governor of the state.
MC as he is fondly called is even more popular in the Nollywood sector because of his proximity to the thespians in the industry.
Today, a lot of people can’t stop wondering why someone like MC Oluomo should be popular for being a Junta! The people in this category are those who have no idea who MC really is.

Check out three things you need to know about Musiliu Akinsanya.
He is a philanthropist: Philanthropic achievements do not occur in a vacuum, they are often the result of co-operation with talented individuals, public bodies and private companies. Whilst the generosity of individual donors is a necessary, rather than sufficient, factor, the philanthropic contribution is often over-looked and is therefore celebrated in this It is, of course, important to acknowledge from the outset that social problems are not solved solely by money.

In reality, most meaningful achievements require a combination of individual excellence, structural support and financial assistance from a variety of sources. One reason MC always has a battalion of people around is because of his philanthropic nature. Many have testified that beneath the hard facade of street boy is a very mushy man who would not hesitate to help anyone.
He is crazy about Nollywood: MC Oluomo is literally in love with theatre, many times he has repeated that his love for theater brought him close to many of the thespians. Reports also have it that, the NURTW official loves Nollywood so much that he had thrown tremendous support for the industry. MC Oluomo is quite wealthy: despite his lack of formal education at any point, this road transport worker reportedly controls a vast amount of wealth, all proceeds from the road!

MC Oluomo is like the proverbial cat with nine lives after surviving a life threatening knife attack early this year, 2019. A lot of counter-accusations had sprung up after the events that led to the stabbing of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos State Treasurer, Musiliu Akinsanya, a.k.a MC Oluomo during the rally of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the Skypower Grounds, Ikeja Government Reservation Area, GRA
Musiliu Akinsanya a.k.a MC Oluomo, was discharged from a Lagos hospital, where he was receiving treatment after he was attacked at an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Ikeja on Jan. 8, and was immediately taken to Eko Hospital, following injuries he sustained

Now you know why MC Oluomo is popular despite his chosen career!
The Popular ‘big boy’ in the Lagos transport scene, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, has striven to prove that being a driver by trade is no hindrance to success. Indeed, such is his fame that he regularly mingles with the high and mighty at occasions and wines and dines at the high tables. This fast-rising ‘Richest Area Boy’, as he is fondly called by his underlings, loves throwing parties to celebrate sallah and yuletides with his co- drivers. And, once again, his upcoming birthday has presented him another golden opportunity to do what he does best-throw lavish shindigs for the joy of the downtrodden.

And, expectedly, those in the class of the high society have already marked off March 25 of every year on their calendars as the much-anticipated birthday dates of MC Oluomo. The NURTW boss celebrated in France one, at the Salle Bereult 17 Rue. Prominent musicians that set the event agog were Pasuma, Olamide and Small Doctor, among others. Celebrities are expected to flock to the event.
Now to the part that he is popular known for, his political affiliation with the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC).
The genesis of his political affiliation is yet unknown, but in the just concluded election in the nation, conducted by the electoral umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Oluomo canvassed massive support for APC.

In his domain, Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency 1, the lawmaker who won the seat, Bashiru Dawodu, presented his certificate of return to MC, in appreciation for helping him win the constituency, Sahara Reports reveals.
In response to the honour shown him by the lawmaker, Oluomo said;
“Maybe after this, we will be going to the Senate by God’s grace,”
His Career With NURTW;
MC is a long associate of the popular National Union of Road Transport Workers, an association of mostly men and a few women, with an identified uniform of Green and White, the same colour of Nigeria’s national flag.
The business of the NURTW is on the road, charging every yellow coloured vehicle, well known as ‘Danfo’ transporting people or goods from one destination within Lagos to another, for road usage, bus-stop parking, passengers and goods carriage.
He soon becomes famous and won his way into the executive arm of the union, becoming the Executive Treasurer, thou not the president, he tends to command more fame and respect.
Oluomo once twitted that NURTW is a profession just like engineering and law e.t.c.

He is expected to take over by August ending from another great man, Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede as the Chairman of Lagos State chapter of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

Falade Segun writes from Oshodi, Lagos.

NYSC / Do You Need A Job Or More Money? by moneywealt: 6:43am On Jun 21, 2019
Welcome...

Like so many people, I grew tired of worrying how the bills would get paid every month.

I grew tired of working a job I didn't really enjoy, and that I knew would never create the life I wanted and deserved.

But there was nothing worse than going to bed every night with the feeling that what I was reaching for, felt so far away.

So I decided to do something about it.

Believe it or not, the decision alone did wonders for me. It gave me a feeling of control and hope that I never felt working for somebody else!

And now I know why.

Working from home has been an absolute blessing.

Politics / What Pres Muhammadu Buhari Told Us & My Speakership Aspiration By Umaru Moh Bago by moneywealt: 2:54am On Jun 06, 2019
What President Muhammadu Buhari told Us" and My Speakership Aspiration.

By
Umaru Mohammed Bago
(Speakership Aspirant, 9th Assembly House of Representatives)

I thank Almighty Allah for the privileges that he has bestowed on me in life. I will be quick to admit that for all the modest accomplishments of today, they are all due to the fact that the Almighty Allah allowed them.

I set my write up against this background because this is what General Buhari’s life has committed to us his followers from my days as a member of The Buhari Organisation from 2003, then I was following him without eyes on any position least of all Speakership, rather just following him out of conviction as a young banker.

I just believed that we can have a better country, and was myself and others at the time opted to follow ’’Mai gaskiya’’ or the ’’General’’ Those were the titles we used for today’s President Buhari way back in 2003.

And these were well earned epithets, the Maigaskiya title earned as a reason of his Spartan and modest life, it was easy to connect with him and as a young opionated, idealist Nigerian.

I was satisfied that he will be best suited for the task of reclaiming and repositioning our country politically, socially and economically.

In fact the then General Buhari was and still remain a beacon, I was inspired by his ability to have personal staffs who are Christians and from the southern part of the country, for me that was a signpost of a man who believes in unity and oneness of our nation inspite of our diversity as a nation both in tongue, geography and culture etc.

So as a young banker, not really eyeing any political position, I was satisfied to just be a Buhari follower, and so I found a comfortable embrace in the fold of The Buhari Organisation.

I ran against the political tide in my state to champion the entrenchment of the Buhari personae in the North Central Zone, one particular fact was that all my uncles, leaders and father figures particularly in Niger State were sympathetic or card carrying members of the Peoples Democratic Party, from the General Babangida to the then Governor Kure, former Governor Aliyu Babangida among others.

But I chose to run against the tide and we worked assiduously for our leader, who we offered unreserved cult like loyalty without any expectations.

This background became the prelude to my eventual break from my budding banking career and entry into the political space.

Among all the things I learnt from the General, are his love for justice, fairness, Spartan life style and contentment, the strongest and most endearing virtue that I took away from General Buhari is how he exemplified courage in the face of adversity, his resilience in the face of challenges and above all ’’General’’ always say to us ’’NEVER BE AFRAID TO STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR JUSTICE’’ AND WHAT IS RIGHT.

In over the past fifteen years in politics, these immutable words have given me so much of courage, these words were the words that made us stick to ’’Maigaskiya’’ in the face of adversity.

I alongside others refused to veer off track, enamored by truth and justice, we remained the soldiers of the ideology of the man Mohammadu Buhari.

This was the tonic, that sustained us in TBO, (THE BUHARI ORGANISATION) encouraged us to go into CPC without looking back and eventually into the APC, my followership of President Buhari was baked in the crucible of unalloyed loyalty and commitment over sixteen years.

Secondly, from this steely background of a thorough bred and well baked progressive of the Buhari hue, it remains a big joke today when I joined the Speakership race in pursuit of justice as President Buhari taught us sixteen years ago, that persons who were not in that league would begin to malign and impugn the reputation that I have built with strain and sweat, in those days it will take a devotee to be a Buhari follower!

I know how the movement and members were challenged, harassed and humiliated!.

So basically the challenge I rose up to, i.e. running for Speaker was baked in the Muhammadu Buhari crucible.

In the run up to the 2019 election, I alongside other committed party loyalists propagated the ideals of the continuity of President Buhari and the Next Level vision of my Party, the APC, and Almighty Allah rewarded us with overwhelming victory in Niger State, from House of Representatives to Senate, Gubernatorial and Presidential and among all the states.

Niger state is one of the states that met the desire of the party and our President's wish for what was our campaign theme ’’APC Top To Bottom’’ that was what we achieved in the face of opposition in Niger State.

By this victory, I have graciously found favour with my constituents, my Governor and people of Niger to have been elected to represent my constituency, Chachanga Federal Constituency for the third time which started in 2011 from the defunct CPC and re-elected in 2015 on the platform of APC and now in 2019 on the platform of the APC making me a third term ranking member.

Indeed I recall that my Governor at a political meeting said that Insha Allah, our state and zone will put me forward to run for Speakership, knowing fully well that the political dynamics are in favour of the zone by reason of our performance and our verifiable and the tangible political value that we brought to bear on the victory of the APC at the 2019 elections, and with this, the seed for the aspiration for Speakership was sowed.
Progressively as the days unfolded, the aspiration for Speakership by the people of North Central became more realistic, justifiable and indeed justiciable.

The Emerging Scenario:

The North West where President Buhari is from delivered the highest votes at the 2019 Presidential elections for him and our party, so in support of status quo, but also well earned, the North West zone retained the position of the President.

while the North East geopolitical zone that came third by votes cast for the President and our party got the Senate President slot.

But it is indeed a shock of unimaginable proportions, with volcanic eruption size bravado that the North Central geopolitical zone that came third is not being considered for Senate President and not even the Speaker!

Rather by strange arm twisting, and veto not even with a decision of the NWC, or NEC of the party neither was it deliberated and agreed upon, the position of Speaker, 9th Assembly House of Representatives, the number 4 political position is being zoned to the South west geopolitical zone, that already has the Vice President.

A zone whose margin of victory for APC and President Buhari, from the six entire states of the South west was swallowed by the margin of victory from Niger State alone leaving with a surplus of over a hundred thousand votes, not to talk about the entire North Central zone!

With this glaring inequality and injustice, the words that President Buhari told us re-echoed in my ears, NEVER RUN AWAY FROM PURSUIT OF JUSTICE! And so I got the deserved energy to soldier on.

The questions are in whose interest is this frenetic effort to gag a geopolitical zone that has given so much to the President and our Party?

What does the South west zone lose if the zone does not get the Speaker when the Vice President on 2nd term already in the can!?

Is the position of Vice President in the South west (2nd term) not commensurate enough?

How can it be fair that a geopolitical zone that did more is being relegated at the expense of another zone that did less and already has more?

How can it be fair to have Vice President and Speaker of the Federal Republic from the same Senatorial district?

The seed of Buhari’s words sowed those days have come alive today:

Secondly, in a party that seeks to be different, how does the flagrant spitting in the face of the constitution of both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Nigerian Constitution, by which President Buhari and Vice President Osibanjo, and Honourable members of the House of Representatives will be sworn in make us look as persons, people and party when we do not honour the words of Nigeria constitution as captured in Section 14, that states clearly that there must be equity and all-inclusiveness in sharing of political positions, of course APC constitution is a creation of the grund norm?

Today that section 14 of the Nigerian Constitution is about to be observed in breach flagrantly by those who will swear to uphold and defend the constitution.

Again, the words of President Buhari has urged me along; NEVER RUN AWAY FROM PURSUIT OF JUSTICE.

Thirdly, can a father with Six children in a house with six rooms for children, give two rooms to one of the children and tell the one that will be deprived to take a place in the boy’s quarters? Will that be fair and just?
.
Again the words that President Buhari told us will sustain me. NEVER AWAY FROM THE PURSUIT OF JUSTICE.

Fourthly, even if this glaring travesty is being given a toga of zoning to the South, why South west?

Why not South East or South South to give fair sense of balance, belonging and all-inclusiveness, but ’’zoned’’ to South west, and micro zoned to an individual from Lagos State?

Implying nobody is good enough in other South west states, but micro zoned to Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, no doubts a member of the party, who has been in leadership position on behalf of the South West for twelve years, Deputy Minority Leader, Minority Leader, Majority Leader from the same Lagos in the south west and now Speaker!

So who in Nigeria does not know under whose political umbrella Vice President Yemi Osibanjo and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila reside?

So how can this be fair on the entire Nigerian people that the Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria are persons who behold to one man literally?.

Again the words of President Muhammadu Buhari re-echoes in my heart and head, NEVER RUN AWAY FROM PURSUIT OF JUSTICE!.
The independence of the legislature is greatly threatened if the above scenario holds.

It remains a shock that our revered leaders are mute on this glaring facts!.

As a man baked in the ideology of pursuit of justice as taught by President the General Buhari, I state clearly that the attempt at Speakership is not about me Umaru Bago, neither about any pecuniary or selfish motive, but standing up for what is right, so that we do not lay precedence that will haunt us in future where might will be seen to be right as it is in the jungle, and Nigeria is not a jungle.

My appeal is to all men of good faith and conscience, our Governors, Leaders and particularly Honourable members elect to reappraise this aspiration in the bigger context of Equity, Justice and Fairness and set our nation on the path of noble goals, that is the foundation of a great nation.

Today it's the North Central! It will be another zone tommorow depending on whose interest is to be served and the power he or she wields in the political space.

In all of these can anybody even try this with the South West geopolitical zone, a zone that got Nigerians to respect June 12 and for Justice sake , Nigerians obliged the south west the "sole rights" to presidency in 1999!

And today same zone is shutting a zone out of a national political equation as guaranteed by the constitution?

The words of Mai gaskiya, President Mohammad Buhari re-echoes in my ears, NEVER ABANDON THE PURSUIT OF JUSTICE!.

One thing is clear Injustice will forever haunt the perpetrators and my colleagues should know that they are at the threshold of history.

Innauguration day is a test of conscience , of will and of fidelity to the oath that will make us servants of the Nigerian people.

Our first test of faithfulness to the words and spirit of the Nigerian constitution is the choice of speaker, wether fit and proper ALL THINGS CONSIDERED in the LARGER INTEREST OF NIGERIA, NIGERIANS, OUR ENDURING VALUES, NATIONAL IMAGE and CHARACTER.

May Almighty Allah guide us all.

Politics / FCT Court Summons Gbajabiamila Over Alleged Perjury by moneywealt: 8:41pm On Jun 05, 2019
Femi Gbajabiamila has been summoned by a court in the FCT over alleged perjury just days before he is due to contest for the position of Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives - The perjury case was filed against him by Action Peoples Party (APP) which claimed he had been lying to INEC is his forms to the electoral body since 2003

The party claimed Gbajabiamila failed to mention that he was allegedly convicted of a crime by a Georgia Supreme Court when he was a lawyer in the United States of America Majority leader of the House of Representatives in the outgoing 8th National Assembly Femi Gbajabiamila, has been summoned to appear before a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) court. The Cable reports that the court summoned Gbajabiamila over a lawsuit filed against him by the Action Peoples Party (APP) seeking to disqualify him from the speakership race over alleged perjury.

The party alleged that Gbajabiamila committed perjury in the CF001 form he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019. APP claimed Gbajabiamila lied to INEC that he had never been convicted by a court of law when, as a lawyer, he was reportedly convicted by the supreme court of Georgia, US, and sentenced to 36 months disbarment for fraud. Gbajabiamila was said to have closed down his law office in America and returned to Nigeria shortly after the court verdict.

“We call on all members-elect of the house of representatives to stand up to be counted as their first official duty will be to ensure that a person who the Supreme Court of the State of Georgia has convicted for the offence of willful dishonesty and who lied under oath in his INEC Form CF001 is not elected as Speaker of the House of Representatives,” APP's Ikenga Ugochinyere said in a statement.

Femi Gbajabiamila, majority leader of the house of representatives, was reportedly charged to court and found guilty of violating the rules of the bar of Georgia state in the US.

According to Sahara Reporters, Gbajabiamila, a lawyer, admitted to withholding $25,000 his client received as damage to personal injury claims.

He was said to have been prosecuted before the Supreme Court of Georgia in February, 2007.

The lawmaker, who is contesting for speaker of the house of representatives, has been recently accused with allegations of fraud.

His campaign organisation, however, denied the allegations on Wednesday. Abdulmumin Jibrin, his campaign spokesman, said the lawmaker has never been accused of corruption talk less being convicted anywhere in the world,

But Sahara Reporters has uploaded a copy of the judgement of the supreme court of Georgia, detailing Gbajabiamila’s case.

The judgement read: “This disciplinary matter is before the Court on the Respondent Femi Gbaja’s Petition for Voluntary Discipline which was filed under Bar Rule 4-227 (b) (2) before a formal complaint was issued. In his petition, Gbaja admits violating Rule 1 .l 5 ( l) of the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct set forth in Bar Rule 4-102 (d). Although a violation of this rule is punishable by disbarment. Gbaja requests the imposition of a 24-month suspension. He agrees. however to accept a suspension of up to 36 months. The State Bar has no objection to the acceptance of Gbaja’s petition so long as the suspension is no less than 36 months in duration.

“Gbaja, who has only been a member of the Bar since 2001. admits that he accepted payment of $25,000 as settlement of a client’s personal injury claims, deposited those funds in his attorney trust account in January 2003, failed to promptly disburse those funds to his client. withdrew those funds for his own use. closed his practice and moved out of the country. Although Gbaja ultimately paid the $25,000 to his client in 2006. he admits his conduct violated Rule HS (1) and that. as a result, he is subject to disbarment. In mitigation of his actions, Gbaja asserts that he has cooperated fully with disciplinary authorities, repaid his client, and is extremely remorseful for the consequences of his conduct. Under these circumstances, we conclude that a 36-month suspension is an appropriate sanction. Accordingly, Gbaja hereby is suspended for a period of 36 months. He is reminded of his duties under Bar Rule 4-219(c).”

The Cable looked up Gbajabiamila’s profile on the website of the State Bar of Georgia where it was stated that he is under “administrative suspension (licence fees).” It stated this to mean “member who has not paid license fees for a period of no less than one or greater than five consecutive bar years; not eligible to practice law in Georgia, but eligible for reinstatement by specific steps mandated in bar rules, but will not be required to take bar exam to reinstate.”

Politics / Much Ado About Gov John Kayode Fayemi And Hon Bimbo Daramola In Ekiti State by moneywealt: 3:46pm On May 18, 2019
#FALSEHOOD #ONLY #THRIVES #IN #DARKNESS

I have been inundated by calls , SMS and WhatsApp messages from well wishers from my dearly beloved family, biological and political, supporters and well wishers from within and without urging me to respond to the goings on about the verdict of the court with regard to the Ekiti State APC primary election PARTICULARLY Ekiti North Federal Constituency (Oye/Ikole) and indeed the entire Senatorial district.

I have maintained a dignified silence and I will continue to until such a time when persons and authorities who are competent enough decide to engage me on what happened and led to this.

And I am sure they know anyway.

I will not dignify persons who fall within the seamless boundaries and borders of ignorance, hate, misinformation or outright noxious essence with any response because of who they simply are! Minions!

I say that because I have a history that is traceable and verifiable from ACD, Action Congress, to ACN and today's APC and I am "proud of my humble" roles of dedicated and devoted service to and in the party.

It will make sence if my actions are weighed in responsibility and responsive terms not lousy buccaholic vituperations on Facebook but tangible impact and value to party and party faithful across the length and breath of Ekiti and I dare say Nigeria.

I am not sure this can be said of some of these lousy and empty Mariners, till date, even not being in any political position, I am sure honest people know those who really care about them, I practically deprive and deny myself of keeping fruits of my sweat for me and my family.

Till today I still pick huge bills of the needs of our people for all manner of requests without recourse to my political travails, because this is the way God has wired me.

I don't have to be a political position holder to do that which God has given me the grace to do.

Politics for me is not a short cut to good life, and a means of livelihood, before House of Representatives, I have been very very comfortable and politics has only made me poorer. I challenge anybody to that.

So why would I be desperate to be in any political position anyway?

From 2015 that I left the parliament, have I missed anything in my modest living standard to the glory of God? No! And to God be the glory

He that feeds the sparrows sure knows how to take care of me. I am not one that will stand in the way of anybody's success PARTICULARLY when earned .

But when I see that lives that could be touched and changed for the better by a little assistance, I am constrained to sacrifice and share, which is the primary motive for coming into politics, nobody came to drag me from my house, neither did anybody sponsor me to be anything!

My question today is that who were these Facebook warriors when we were slaving with all and everything for the party? and I challenge them to bring up their own records.

Let it be known that I was only in House of Representatives for only four years out of my almost 20 years political life.

So I am going to wait until those who have the matching track record of service and contributions and denials call me out before I speak.

But let me say clearly that I am not your regular politician! Selfish, Self centred, blinded by unbridled ambition and all the evil manifestations that I have come to see as the things that make you a "#good #politician " which runs contrary to my values and virtues.

At over 50 it's the #height of #depravity for anybody to expect that I wont be able to express myself wherever I find myself, its sheer stupidity of anybody to feel that if I feel something is not right or just , I will keep quiet because I want to protect status quo or because i want to be politically correct and relevant, when at 32 i was actively involved and recognized at the highest seat of government in this country.

I was functioning between President and Vice President, known and regarded, way back then and 18 years later I am supposed to be cowed and some minions will jump on Facebook to say rubbish all because the more the attack on Bimbo the earlier you get remembered and recognised for patronage. Good luck to you.

My advice is that you should go and earn your worth.

I freely joined the forebears of today's APC because I believe the party and persons therein would be people who i thought we shared same ideological persuasion based on time tested virtues of truth, honesty and justice but obviously they are not.

Anyway I ll keep that to myself for now and await a proper time to tell my story.

But I feel obliged again to tell Oluwole Alabi(onlygodiswise) and his ilk to please STOP dishing out lies and deceit.

I have kept to myself with regard to several posts in the past and I still do not feel Olu deserves my attention because we both know a little bit about ourselves at least politically and otherwise.

But I am worried that those who may not know may just believe these deliberate lies and falsehood, like Oluwole saying he and some of my friends went to beg my Egbon Elder Awotiku after election. That is not true! I would have kept quiet but Because he presents his lies with so much of oracular posturing .

Let me make it clear here and now, I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST BAR. PETER OWOLABI. WHY WOULD I ANYWAY? WE ARE JUST PARTY MEMBERS AND THATS ALL, NO RELATIONSHIP WHATSOEVER. He does his things and I do mine.

Humbly speaking we both also know our standing in the party. I desire his success and I am not one to stand in the way of anybody's progress.

I met his junior brother in court on Monday I think, a court where some lousy jobless people who should be asking questions about how to make their lives count and not fettering their future to being political attack dogs said I "did not allow Peter to be heard! Or filed out of time and all that garbage Facebook trial! How ridiculous!

R.O Balogun his lawyer was there doing all sorts TO PREVENT AND PERVERT THE CAUSE AND COURSE OF JUSTICE,in all manner of ways that I will not say now, but because of the clarity of mind of the My Lord the Judge and his firmness and fairness on the basis of facts presented before him went on to serve justice, inspite of the shenanigans of Balogun.

Well I know someday I will be in a position to tell it all, even his lawyer said "e se papa gbo case yi na" after all he did within and outside the books failed, including wanting to call witness for a case that came by originating summons! And some lousy ones will keep dishing lies .

Anyway I told Peter's brother in court where attempt was again made to stay execution failed, I asked him pertinent questions and said to him " ta ba ngegi nigbo o ye ka fi oro ro ara wa wo".

I asked him, if you were given reassurance that you should contest election three days from the day of primary after seeking clear clarifications three times and on the day of primary you got detained at the police station will that be fair?

Secondly was there primary election in the entire senatorial district?

Yet adults were made to lie from state chairman to the PRO of the party not minding the handpicked ones , that one would have thought are Distinguished persons who purportedly came from National APC secretariat to do the hatchet job.

Posterity will apportion everyone with the measures we all deserve.

No wonder the judge said " the results announced remained mysterious to him".. and it's a supreme court decision that political parties can field whoever as candidates but the law will not allow political parties to behave arbitrarily(senselessly)!!!

Today I am sure these guys making Bimbo the issue are deaf and dumb to such pervasive overbearing incidences from Kano to Imo and lately three in Bauchi state where other parties were beneficiaries.

Are these lousy people aware that I met Bar.Ogala the National Legal Adviser on this matter? Are these louts also aware that I acquainted the offices of the national chairman? And vice chairman south? before proceeding to seek justice?

How does it profit me to deny my party of earned position? But I will expect that these lousy for nothing people should be reasonable but that really is a misplaced expectation.

And I also approached the national election petitions committee and one of our leaders reliably said "#SHRED HIS #PETITION" and Otunba Famuyibo's committee of course fell in line and not for a second gave me audience as others were nationally.

Do these Facebook militants realise that I appeared before the Governor Shettima led committee in the Governor's office in Ado Ekiti?

May I ask that the report of that committee be published , did anything come out of it? Shame to you ignorant Facebook proxy fighters ! Stew in your Ignorance.

Peter Tosh said don't give me peace , give me justice.

So when later day revisionists like Oluwole and people like him who always posture like they know everything begin to say I was also a beneficiary of a similar situation, I wonder if they lost their capacity for recollections or got it muddled up.

Well I have said this before and I will say it again, i have gone through four primary elections in that state for those who want to hear the truth! Not once did I get handed the ticket nor anybody detained at my instance!

i read where somebody said Hon. Adunmo Galazy was detained! Haba tori Olorun! Well if the fool does not know he should ask Hon Adunmo what his boys did infront of the Governors residence in Isan and why the CSO had to intervene! Im not even aware of him being detained anyway.

I ran for the first time in 2007 for house of Representatives, there was primaries. Elder Bunmi Awotiku and my Egbon from Itapa who ran also are still alive. I won the primaries.

A gentleman called Solaco of blessed memory R.I.P (from Aramoko Ekiti , a friend to Bunmi Ogunleye was the one who alerted me that something funny was about to start and he said I should rush down to party secretariat in Ado Ekiti. I did . Only to get there I caught one of our party boys Aduloju changing my results in Bar. Bayo Idowu's office, he was the then secretary at the then AC state secretariat in Ado Ekiti.

I challenge anybody to facts on that. I dont want to go into that long story, I ll rather save for hereafter for time sake and Full details in my forthcoming book,

" 28Votes" - The Recollections of a Political Naivete and Voyage in Brackish Waters of Treachery, Betrayal and Insincerity.

Inspite of all that was done to me in the party and by persons who did all to remove my name from INEC list but failed, I joined hands with others to slave it out from 2009 through all the travails that brought Dr. Fayemi into office.

And then Gov Fayemi won , and we came to Abuja to pick his certificate of return, and I did not know what was going on, only for Otunba Niyi Adebayo to pull me aside and said to me, Bimbo you will continue your good work for us, I have put your name down for commissioner of information!! I said ha!! No sir !

He said "se o ni gboro si mi lenu ni"? I said but I ran for house of Representatives in 2007 and I will like to go run in 2011.

Anyway the rest in my coming book, well I came to Ekiti and was Vice Chairman transition committee.

Working hard with Uncle Dayo Fadipe and other leaders until I got a call from someone high up in the party, one of my past traducers behind my first suspension from the party, I am told the second is coming, well no probs!

He said Bimbo, you cannot work here in Ekiti oo, go to secretariat and collect expression of interest/nomination form to run for house of Representatives, in 2011 the form is closing today.

Until then the Governor had not told me clearly anything, and I did not bother but I kept my task at the transition committee and looking through and reviewing files and annotating them for his attention, one day Hon Yemi Adaramodu sent for me and said Oga had just appointed him Chief of Staff, I was excited because he deserved it , we were deeply in the trenches together at least from when the court of appeal ordered a rerun .

So he said Oga said I should come, on getting there, I said Oga Yemi said you had appointed him as Chief of Staff, he said Yes, and I said great. He now said think of what you want and let me know.

I suggested some adviser position which the body language did not seem to approve so I went to the party secretariat and picked the form.

On my return I went to the Governor and put the form before him, he said no Bimbo let us stay at home and work together, you know you are one of the people who could look me in the eyes and tell me the truth, Se Otunba o ti ba e soro ni? He said.

I said sir , I appreciate sir , but please let me go and run,I assured him that I will always be at home and after a while he said ok. And that began my journey into the second primary election in 2011.

Today I hear was Bimbo not a beneficiary of the same thing? And I asked how? I went to the 24 wards campaigning vigorously with my own resources, and sweat. I am not aware of any meeting where I was, that people or our elders sat down and said Bimbo you are anointed, if I was , why would I be campaigning so hard spending money.

I hear Oh it was a reward for "acting" their so called "script " "shoot me shoot me" and I just chuckled.

Well thank God the security guys did not pull the trigger that day, looking back today it would have being in vain, die for nothing!!! well I was not play acting as some would so interpret it today, I was willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice because I believed I was fighting a just cause for our people, state, party and our candidate the Governor, who I see as a brother, my two years senior in christ school Ado Ekiti.

Well in any case that was just because this happened where cameras were, what of several other moments where only God saw and a few people knew. Well thank God for all things , no regrets.

So if they were giving me the ticket because of the "shoot me shoot me" morbid scene, why did I have to go out campaigning through the Constituency so hard? It was war of some sort.

I recall the gang up of "Bimbo must not enter ikole" and "Ikole Agenda"- again there was primaries and I won! I cant recall any meeting where I was and was given money for ticket by anybody, or elders/leaders/excos were told to work for Bimbo.

Third primary, in 2014/2015 for same house of Representatives. I had only just finished being Director General of Governor Fayemi's relection campaign, leaving Abuja for 6 months for the energy sapping and draining campaign, and all that went into it in all ways, ending with another morbid scene the night before the election when marauders stormed my father's house looking for me !

Everyone knows what happened to me and my 89year old father. Again thank God for sparing my life and that of my father, one would have been wasted for nothing!@!

Anyway 2 months after, at this time Gov. Fayose had taken over, regardless of being the Director General of the relection campaign of the Governor months earlier, I had to go through another gruelling primary election with serious campaigns, that ultimately held in Ayedun. I am aware of those who were funded against me!

But as the good Lord and people would have it , I won again to the glory of God , defeating Hon Weluwelu, My Egbon Awotiku and Bar Peter Owolabi.

So with the above to the best of my knowledge and under God the facts as known to me, having gone through these under these circumstances, how can it then be fair to have to go to primary election in 2019, being the fourth time for the house of Representatives, and two days before the election, I was with the Governor to reconfirm if he is supporting anyone, and he clearly said No!

Just as I had asked him two or three times earlier and to which he said No, added to the fact that he was the one that asked me what I wanted after the gubernatorial tussle, coupled with the fact that if the zoning thing (that I dont believe in) is considered it was Oye's turn and other assurances of fairness.to all.

Everyone will attest to the fact that I again started aggressive campaign and mobilisation for the party, one of which, at my instance I led #300 #people from the #PDP in the two wards from my town back to APC and they were received by no other than the Ekiti State Chairman of APC , Bar. Omotosho and his PRO, Hon. Ade Ajayi.

Weeks later when the executive of my ward was constituted and names were submitted from Ward Chairman to Ex-officio and I did not not have as little as the right to even know who and when!!! I complained NOTHING WAS DONE!!!

So I have abbreviated a lot in this short write up to clearly give a sneak preview into my travails, this by no account represents 20% of the voyage, but needless saying I DO NOT HAVE ANY POINT TO PROVE TO ANYBODY what I know is that RECOMPENCE IS SURE, IF NOT NOW, SOMEDAY, IF NOT BY MAN CERTAINLY BY GOD.

To Olu and all these uninformed commentators, It will do you and whatever reputation you want to build to speak truth as much as possible, hyperbolic and embellished statements will serve you momentarily not enduringly.

In the instance you talked about, I was enjoined to reach out to those who contested at the primary so that we can have a United front for the party at the general election not to beg after primary! I did no rob. So where I was prostrating is only known in twisted minds.

I have seen other comments from the ludicrously infantile to the melodramatically ridiculous, and I possibly cannot be joining issues with all, but one thing is clear, I harbour no grudges neither do I begrudge anybody.

My political umbrella is called #nitoriojoolawa, it's not sloganeering, its because I try as much to ask when my actions of today are put on the scale of tommorow, will it still weigh ok?

Some of the actions of today portrayed in bad light as belligerence by those who initiate them or the beneficiaries or those who keep mute because of political correctness of today or pecuniary benefits will someday realise that these actions will serve as their referential refuge.

Those who keep mute in the face of injustice or defend same are accomplices...a real man must live for noble ideals. That is me. When I stood before gun toting guys that chilling nite, it was same pursuit of justice.

Lastly to those advising or plotting evil, I trust totally in Almighty God and those planning untoward action, let's us not start an inferno because we can't control it.

Eni n'sere ko ma se lo eni n'seka ko mura si..

Long after we leave political positions and even this world as it is sure we will, what will be left will be our works. I am mindful of that and my actions are moderated by that.

I will end with two of my favourite songs:

1. Ma pada, maa yo owo oo, ma pada lehin mi, Oba titi lai.

2. Emi o gbagbo p'enikan le d'ina mi, ohun ti mo mo ni pe Jesu lo le sohun gbogbo.

For the first time , here are some of the pictures of me in detention on the day of the so called primary election and the video of the situation in Ikole .

Whatever happens from here, let His will be done...

God bless .
