Nigerian afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy is on the trolling block in the United States after being spotted stepping out in a blouse and high heels!

Burna Boy was spotted out yesterday wearing a top that many are calling a “sheer blouse,” and high heels, MediaTakeOut reports.

Papa Ajasco, real name Femi Ogunrombi, was a Nigerian comic actor popular for his portrayal of the eponymous ‘Papa Ajasco’ in Wale Adenuga’s television series.

Abiodun Ayoyinka initially played the role of Ajasco, a portly wealthy man with funny mannerisms – but Ogunrombi took over the role after he pulled out of the show.

Biography

Femi Ogunrombi was a popular Nigerian comic actor who played the role of Papa Ajasco in Wale Adenuga’s popular television series.

Aside being an actor, Ogunrombi was an accomplished singer, highlifist and trained nurse who was fondly called ‘Uncle Ogurombo’.

His biography on the photo-sharing app Instagram read: “Femi Ogunrombi is a composer, songwriter, an actor, and a Music Teacher. An award-winning film producer and a music producer. A professional Nurse,”

He was born in Ille-Ife although he hails from Abeokuta in Ogun State. Ogunrombi was raised in Ile-Ife and moved to Lagos in the early 70s. He is married with three beautiful daughters.

Ogunrombi trained in Medical nursing and practised at the General Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos. He later left to pursue his real passion of arts.

Femi Ogunrombi was for about a decade the Music Director of the National Troupe of Nigeria. He was also the Director of Studies at the Pencil Film and Television Institute, Lagos. He has an over three-decade experience as a musicologist.

Death

Veteran Nollywood actor, Femi Ogunrombi died late on Saturday, January 14th 2023.

His death was confirmed by a theatre practitioner, Husseini Shaibu, via his Twitter handle on Sunday.

He wrote, “I have just been reliably informed that the ethnomusicologist, former Music Instructor with #NATIONALTROUPE and one time stand in for the ‘Papa Ajasco’ character on the popular #waleadenugaprod comic series ‘Papa Ajasco’ Mr. Femi Ogunrombi is dead.

“I am told that the actor, singer, highlifist and trained nurse whom we fondly called ‘Uncle Ogurombo’ (not to his hearing though) passed on this evening (Saturday)”

Papa Ajasco and Company (formerly The Ajasco Family) is a Nigerian family television sitcom created by Wale Adenuga in 1996.

The show is a spin-off of a feature film of the same title produced by Wale Adenuga in 1984, which in turn is based on the comic Ikebe Super.

The story revolves around the Ajasco family and their comedic interpretations to major societal issues.

The main characters include womanising patriarch Papa Ajasco, his long-suffering wife Mama Ajasco, their mischievous son Bobo Ajasco, local playboy Boy Alinco, promiscuous gold-digger Miss Pepeiye, and illiterate ne’er-do-wells Pa James and Pa Jimoh.

Taiwo Balogun, a 53-year-old Nigerian woman based in the United Kingdom, has been found deceased in a lake in Kent.

She had been missing for four weeks, having last been seen near her home in southeast London.

Balogun’s body was discovered in the lake at the Bluewater shopping center during a search for the “vulnerable” missing mother.

The Metropolitan Police stated on Monday that the death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious, and offered their condolences to Balogun’s family.

The force tweeted: “A woman’s body was recovered from a lake near Bluewater Shopping Centre on Friday, December 30. While formal identification awaits, Taiwo Balogun’s family has been informed.

“Her death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious. Our thoughts are with Taiwo’s family.”

CCTV footage showed Taiwo Balogun at a lottery stand inside a shop on Crayford Road, Dartford, around 2:27 pm on the day of her disappearance.

Balogun’s family had previously expressed their worry and love for her.

Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi has been awarded a Doctor of Arts honorary degree by the University of Wolverhampton for her outstanding contribution to arts and culture.

The University of Wolverhampton confers these honorary degrees on people for their outstanding contributions to their areas of expertise.

She studied drama and performance at the University of Wolverhampton, graduating with first-class honours in 2009.

Ayobiyi Cook, a Nigerian woman in the United States of America has sadly died after being shot by her own son in a tragic accident.

Cook’s 12-year-old son accidentally shot her after finding a gun in their home in Forestdale, Alabama in the United States.

29-year-old Cook died from the shooting which occurred at midnight Saturday, August 6th 2022.

Police received a 911 call just after midnight Saturday to Ayobiyi’s Forestdale home.

They found her dead when they got to the scene.

The deceased’s son initially lied about what happened, telling police an unidentified man carried out the shooting.

According to Gistlover, Destiny Etiko, who is on the list of Suleman’s alleged mistresses, once ran mad on set after a bout with the preacher.

The blogger revealed Etiko and the actress Abigail Nebechi had a bout of s*x with Suleman which ended in them having issues.

Abigail reportedly went completely mad whilst Destiny started suffering from some health issues.

Actor Alexx Ekubo has been called out for either being into sugar mummy runs or yahoo yahoo, after erecting a plush house.

Ekubo showed off his new baby recently in a video released online.

The massive mansion was also state of the art and had many modern amenities.

Ekubo shared the video of the mansion on Instagram.

Maduagwu wrote: “Any Nollywood male actor below 40 years who claim to buy mansion for Naija is either into sugar mummy runs or yahoo yahoo plus.

“Make you na no allow them deceive you na with social media show off. Not all that glitter for Nollywood is pure gold,” he added.

His comment was clearly aimed at Alexx Ekubo, who is the latest house owner in town.
