We are waiting Jennylov. It's some days to go. Hope the money is ready? |
obstead200:Bro, you can see the extent of damage his so called father Oyedepo has done to him. He acts as some one mentally bewitched and re-tarded. |
horlaleykan:It appears now that your are cynical and lack wit. I gave you biblical evidences that Jesus Christ was poor. You kind of get fixated with the stable issue. All the quotes I gave were they all about the stable, dimwit? Coming to the stable issue, if Jesus Christ was rich or of a rich family, why did he not buy off all the inns at that time of his birth, even if they were all occupied by people? Saudi King visited Obama recently and had to buy all the rooms already booked and occupied by people in an hotel he wanted to stay during his visit. That is the character of one who is rich. It seems you blab too much; always try to be reasonable and address issues as viewed and don't try to be evasive. To soothe your urge, I attend Winners Chapel. Hope you are satisfied now with that. Try always to be rational in your replies and not be childish. I thought you would rant through out the night on your support of your filthy lucre seeking Oyedepo but you slept as a child you're. |
horlaleykan:I thought you have wit but you have proved you are nitwit. Jesus Christ was poor. Let me teach you your bible abit. Here are clear biblical evidences you wanted: 1. Lk 2:1-20 Jesus was born in a stable (his parents knew the approximate time of his birth so they could have reserved a place, God could have made sure he had a room) but it was to be in a stable, a cave. 2. Lk.2:22-24 Mary sacrifices two turtle doves which is a poor households sacrifice (Lev.12:2- .Why did Mary in her praise say “He has filled the hungry with good things and the rich he has sent away empty.”3. Jesus gave up all the riches that are his in heaven to become a man and was born to a poor family (not homeless and destitute), his foster father was carpenter (Matthew 13v55), if they had money from the gold given at his birth (as some claim) he would not of had to work. The Bible does not mention his riches but many teach this from silence. Archeological excavations of Nazareth from the 1950’s show the village of Jesus' day were occupied by poor agricultural people. As Jesus grew up he worked in the trade of a carpenter, not a trade known for its wealth. How did Jesus become rich with a foster dad who was only a carpenter? There is absolutely no indication anywhere that he was wealthy from his family or from traveling with His disciples. By the way, He took no tithes. 4. You claimed that he has a house. I could not find any Mister Oyedepo jnr. Matt. 8:19-20: "Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go." And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." Jesus himself had no place to lay his head, no permanent home, he constantly traveled. 5. Matthew 19:21: The rich young ruler came to Jesus and he responded by telling to him to give all his riches to the poor and follow him. Was Jesus telling him to rid himself of riches while he actually possessed them Himself? Would he ask someone to do something he himself would not? 6. Matthew 21:7: Jesus rode on a donkey. May I ask, is there anything royal about such a ride? 7. Mark 15:42-47- Jesus was buried in another man's tomb, a rich man's ( You should ask why the emphasis on the tomb of the rich Joseph of Arimethea and not the "rich" Jesus who was crucified?). If he was rich or his family, they would have buried him in his own family tomb. But this again proves that He had no money for this. Neither did his family nor the apostles have the money to buy such a burial, it was borrowed, actually donated to be exact. After all it would not be permanent. Jesus in his ministry had borrowed many things. A manger, He borrowed boats, He borrowed a colt; He borrowed a house for Passover and He was buried in a borrowed tomb. 8. What can you make of this tax situation Jesus found himself which your pastor will try to evade? Matthew 17:24-27- Peter and His Master Pay Their Taxes: 24 When they had come to Capernaum,[ a ] those who received the temple tax came to Peter and said, “Does your Teacher not pay the temple tax?” 25 He said, “Yes.” And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from strangers?” 26 Peter said to Him, “From strangers.” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are free. 27 Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money;[ b ] take that and give it to them for Me and you.” If he was rich as you claim, he would have been paying his taxes as and when due without stress. I think I have proven that Jesus Christ was not rich while on earth. But if these fail to convince you then you are only just devious and cynical. But as I have told you, I won't be confused by you and your Oyedepo. |
horlaleykan:LMAO, what is this nigga trying to say? That the universities came out of the blue. No member donated? Then, it implies that Oyedepo is simply a business man hidden under the paraphernalia of church to make money he used to build these universities. I pray that Buhari remembers him so we can take some chunk of his money to renovate our Federal Universities. Scholarship to who? All na show. You need a cleanser or better still, an exorcism because you have been bewitched. The early the better. Oyedepo may not lose a sleep but he should be careful not to lead souls to hell with these misinterpretations he has fed you and your likes. For me, I can't be confused by him. The way to heaven is long and narrow. Since the time of John, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, only the violent takes it by force. What does it merit a man that he gained the whole world and loses his life. An advice for you and your father David Oyedepo. |
horlaleykan:Well what else can I say? I disagree with your summation, Oyedepo's pikin. |
horlaleykan:I asked of biblical quotations, Mr Bible Reader? |
horlaleykan:How can you have a house and fail not to be sleeping in there? Or people can't say that you have a house of your own? What you do other than sleeping in your house is to walk around praying, eating and sleeping in people's house, praying on the mountain, don't you see that something is amiss? And it points that that person lacks a house. Simple. |
horlaleykan:I shake my head for you. So do all these prove that Jesus was rich? He was rich and allowed himself to be born in a manger. You're father Oyedepo can't try that shiit instead he will buy out all the inns to make sure that he gives birth to you comfortably. He is rich and walked around with foot all the time and the only time he rode, it was on a mule. He was rich and they flogged him mercilessly as reported by the bible. I wonder how many times Oyedepo has been tortured in his affluence. Can a rich man be crucified for doing nothing as Jesus was? I will advise you to just serve Jesus as He expects you. Better still, read the beatitudes as written in Matthew 5 to redefine your conception of Christianity. Lastly, STOP worshipping Oyedepo; he is no Jesus Christ. It will help you not to view him on the level of Jesus Christ. |
horlaleykan:Let me recall your attention: I argued that Jesus was not rich on earth. You brought in He having a house to disprove my contention, which you have abysmally failed to do. I did not say that the quotation I gave you says that the house is Peter's rather I told you that I discovered that it is Peter's. Try always to carefully read to avoid misinterpretation, which you have successfully done today. I hope you do preach these misinterpretations to other members of your fold. For your information, please read carefully: Jesus was born in Bethlehem, then later His parents moved to Nazareth which was in Lower Galilee but truly He did not have a home that was ever identified. In fact He said to those who would follow Him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head” (Luke 9:58; Matthew 8:20). Notice where Jesus often spent the night in Luke 21:37 “And every day he was teaching in the temple, but at night he went out and lodged on the mount called Olivet” and then after sleeping outside all night it was “early in the morning [that] all the people came to him in the temple to hear him” (Luke 21:38). Now if Jesus had a home, and I am not saying that He slept outside every night for we just don’t have enough information in the Bible to conclude that, why would He frequently sleep outside? Was it because no one would want Him in their home for fear of being put out of the temple or would it be because Jesus would often be up much of the night praying…sometimes all night and so He possibly didn’t want to wake those who were sleeping in their home? Why would I say that Jesus often slept outside and then sometimes prayed much of the night? Luke 6:12 says “In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God.” Why does Luke say “In these days?” By Luke saying “These days” in chapter six we see that this was early in Jesus’ ministry and in Luke 21 it was late in His ministry and both times He was sleeping outside so we can safely assume that this was Jesus’ habit. We can say with authority that Jesus slept outside at least many of the nights and that He was praying in many of those nights and so it’s no wonder that He said in Luke 9:58 that the “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head” because it was true! Can you remember a Scripture where it was said that Jesus spent the night as someone’s house? There may be one or two occasions but I couldn’t find it. Maybe you can find one but if you do find one or two, I believe those were the exceptions. |
Nigeria na waooo! Like Idris Abdulkareem sang, "Nigeria jaga jaga". How can a whole Senate President of Nigeria sit down in a dock of a court answering allegations of financial crimes? Can't he resign and respect the office he is occupying? Must he drag the office to this all time low? |
horlaleykan:Mister man, don't get deluded and don't be evasive here. You brought in the issue of Jesus not having a house. I've read about the house in Capernaum (Mark9vs33), & was wondering if it belonged to Jesus. I discovered that it was Peter's house. Jesus and some of the other disciples would stay at Peter's house when in Capernaum. |
horlaleykan:How sure you are not the one that lacks revelation knowledge of the word of God? You that read the bible, try giving me the biblical quotations of the substitutionary and exemplary works of Jesus Christ? |
horlaleykan:Which allegations? That he has a private jet or jets, which you and I know? That poor people still go to his church and long to be like their pastor financially? How many of his poor followers can afford the fees of his two Universities- Covenant and Landmark? Are these false? Or should we presume none of his followers are poor? I don't think I will join you in that. I have no problem in the church of Jesus Christ taking over; I support Church of Jesus Christ taking over everybody including the pastor. Thanks for the information of you being the son of the bishop. May I ask, are you a biological son or spiritual son? An advice for you: Matthew 7:16 - "You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act." Maybe I was too fast to say that he washes his faithful's heads. I better recourse to 1 Peter 5:2: "Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly." |
horlaleykan:Am happy that you have my time now. For records, you are the one spewing trash. The bible told me that the Son of Man has no place to lay his head. I think you are the one that apply ludicrous interpretation to biblical verses so as to suit your proclivities. |
nedupel:Ok. Thanks for the clarification. |
Ok that is the emir of Kano. A great scholar trained by Roman Catholic church. When you look at his demeanor, you will see finesse, character and a person who is not a bigot. I envy the Hausa who have him as an Emir. Sai Emir Sanusi!!!! |
