MADUKA UNIVERSITY SAGA: NIGERIAN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS' TRANSCRIPTS ISSUING PROCEDURES SHOULD BE UNIFORM AND HARMONIZED! ~Moran Cee Onyemaechi

With the recent transcript issuing brouhaha between Maduka University and one of her students and the subsequent divided public opinions on this issue, I wish to request the Ministry of Education and other tertiary education regulators in Nigeria to mandate schools to start issuing transcripts to students upon graduation and on request!

Over the years, there have been practices of issuing of transcripts directly to the Institutions through which admissions are sought upon payment of prescribed transcript processing fees. Majority of Nigerian Universities and Postgraduate Professional Training Institutions do this. However, there are claims that some Universities in Nigeria issue STUDENTS' COPIES directly to students while others do not, which makes it frustrating and confusing. I quite understand the fears of the Institutions of possible alterations and falsifications by students when handed directly but final verifications with CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES from the graduating Institute would help.

It would be highly frustrating to students to continue maintaining the status quo of transcript issue directly to institutions. Let's look at a scenario where a students is seeking a Postgraduate admission in 3 different Universities which he/she is not certain and when transcripts are requested, you will need to pay separately for it to be sent to the 3 institutions 😳😳.

Following the inherent frustration this has been causing, I propose a STUDENT COPY to be issued along Statements of results upon graduation or on request. This will enable students to tender it anywhere they are needed and upon admission confirmation, the Institute can request a CERTIFIED TRUE COPY from the student's school which should be sent directly to the Institution upon payment of prescribed transcript fees for final verification and clearance.

This will create strong uniformity in Transcripts issuing procedure in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions to avoid confusions currently generated by some Institutions issuing while others are not.

Maduka University has released an official statement detailing their transcripts issuing procedure which the parents of the students are not understanding. Academic transcripts should be made available to students upon graduation and upon request along with statements of results.

With the advent of Technology, overall students academic records and transcripts should be available on a dedicated Institution's portal and should be downloaded with on a pre-stamped document after filling out an electronic form and payments of prescribed fees. The old school fear of possible alterations by students should be jettisoned.Harmonization of Nigerian Tertiary Institutions' transcripts issue procedure should be a MUST!

PWAN GROUP: THE DANGERS OF TOO MANY UNCONTROLLED AFFILIATES~ Moran Cee Onyemaechi

This is not the best time for the PWAN brand which has painstakingly navigated the terrain of the Real Estate industry for 13 solid years!

I feel deeply pained about how the name is being dragged and the numerous scandals it currently faces not because I have any affiliation with them but because I am a Brand Communications Professional and Real Estate Advocate championing the cause of transparency in Real Estate business deals to benefit all stakeholders through REAL Estate Advocacy Media .

PWAN is undoubtedly a great brand to be reckoned with being the first to introduce REAL ESTATE NETWORK MARKETING that created independent Realtors that has empowered many people and made them millionaires. They have delivered on several projects too.

I believe in the quest for expansion and consolidation, PWAN created subsidiaries and affiliates which has rapidly spread across all states and localities and acquiring lands even in deep uncharted areas. I believe this is part of their expansion drive to ensure lands accessibility to grassroots.

They should buy lands, perfect the titles, allocate and develop before going to acquire another estate. It's proven that anyone who likes buying very cheap goods will end up buying troubles one day.

When trying to expand your brand through affiliations and franchise, ensure they don't engage in activities that might tarnish the main brand especially when the main brand's name would be appended to their name or else the main brand becomes vicariously liable and pay for their sins. It takes only the educated and not everyone to differentiate.

Even in this coalition brouhaha, his men might already be mapping out strategies to brew confusions to put a crack that might split interests to his favour.

Remember that I always talk about how politicians master the use of THREE basic "DISUNITING" elements of MONEY, TRIBE and RELIGION to bring a divide and rule just for their selfish interests even though they themselves are not TRIBALISTIC and RELIGIOUS FANATICS.

Politicians understand that the masses are greater than them and can push them out once they are UNITED and speak with ONE VOICE but they can put up their lives to avoid that UNITY which threatens their political manevoring.

Coalition or no coalition, the only tool to remove a perceived poor performing government is UNITY OF PURPOSE, removal of GREED, TRIBALISM and RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY. If all these elements are not eliminated, no amount of coalition (which is purely an assembly of disgruntled politicians) can remove a sitting president.

While the politicians engage in Coalitions, the electorates should also unite in a coalition when the coalition political party brings out a candidate, because coalition of politicians without coalitions of the citizens/masses/electorates genuinely hungry for a change, would become a futile efforts once the sitting government introduces MONEY, TRIBALISM and RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY to scatter them and the weeping continues!

The veteran Nollywood Actor has cried out in a video after seeing a publication of his alleged death and burial arrangements on a blog CELEB GOSSIP NAIJA and cautions those spreading fake news about him to be mindful or face the consequences.

It could be recalled that the loved Actor known for his great roles in several epic films, underwent a surgery sometime ago and recovering. Rather than wishing him bad through fake publications, we should support him in any way we can.

Two events that happened recently involving the Nigerian Comedy Advocate/Actor;Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie (BRAIN JOTTER) is a strong indicator that God has ordained him to use the Ministry of Comedy through the Gospel of Laughter to change lives unexpectedly.
Apart from other of his humanitarian efforts, the heart touching incident that happened at his last comedy event in Abuja where a physically challenged lady became an instant millionaire with donations of over N30million rang a bell. Thanks to Brain Jotter who only wanted to appreciate her for being the earliest comer to the event after meeting her earlier before the event started but was surprised at her physical condition when called up on stage. This touched people and his event became a fundraiser for the lady which moved me and several others to tears. The event turned out to be for the lady; ESTHER ADA as God orchestrated it!

Now coming to the current viral dance step which exploded the popularity of Pa Mike Ejeagha's KA ESI LE ONYE ISI OCHE (GWOR GWOR GWOR) song. Without any intentions and core focus on the song, he sampled the song along his crazy dance step casually and the internet caught fire with the frenzy. A global awareness was created about an almost forgotten legend and his song leading to everyone jumping on the challenge. This brought the name of Pa Mike Ejeagha to the fore again with people celebrating him at the ripe age of 94. With accolades and gifts of different nature pouring left and right, Brain Jotter made another great move of paying him a homage visit and honoring him with an undisclosed amount though which the media has rumoured to be N2m with more people still donating to Pa Mike Ejeagha.

For God to have used him to bring back the sweet memories of the song and the owner is not ordinary because others could have sampled it without any impact. It further shows the grace of God and how God is using Brain Jotter to lift people up when they least expected it.

Any time I'm called on to train sales and marketing people, I always warn them about deceptive marketing which has a long term adverse effects on the business.

I cut in during a briefing of young sales people by their team head who was telling the sales team to tell customers that they could be quickly REFUNDED by the company after buying the product while the company's policy said otherwise and gave condition for a refund in a very rare case after charging an Administrative fee. Their Team head was telling them to GO INTO THE MARKET AND GRAB IT! That's an attitude of CRUDE SELLERS who don't care about customer SATISFACTION. MARKETING focuses of Customer Satisfaction that leads to profitability.

In as much as Marketing and sales department is the engine room and hub of any organisation to keep it liquid with regular cash flows , majority of companies' woes came as a result of the misrepresentations (fake promises) made to customers by the non-professional and greedy ones just to make sales. They twist companies' offers and promise what is not in existence or in official Communications materials in a desperation to sell and get their commission then disappear leaving the innocent businesses and their owners in pressure when the time comes!

Stop putting innocent businesses and their owners into future pressures and problems when the customers could not get what was promised at entry point of sales. You can succeed to sell with deceit if the product or service involved is a one-off item but not a case of Real Estates products or Insurance products that have Maturity or development periods! However, remember that the major sustainable profitability lies on customer satisfaction which leads to referrals and repeated purchases

What happens to empathy and first understanding customers' needs before recommending a product or service to them? Be a problem solving consultant to them!

Most insurance and Real Estate companies face the negative outcome of this misrepresentational misbehaviour. Some greedy non-professional Realtors in Real Estates can lie to prospects on titles of Lands. Most would go as far as telling their prospects that the Land has a C of O or that they can get it within a year while the land is yet to have even a Deed! Some particular set of Insurance marketers would lie about interest payable on savings plans and not ask basic questions and get required documents to ascertain the level of their client's risk to be insured which determines yearly premium. If the loss occurs and the loopholes are discovered leading to denial of claims payments, customers would cry that Insurance is scaaam.

It takes nothing to build trust and sell trust. Let prospects see value and benefits to be enjoyed in the product not utopian benefits. SELL WHAT YOU HAVE AND THE BENEFITS ! AVOID BOGUS AND FAKE PROMISES! Don't be too desperate to sell or else you lose it! Maintain professionalism and comply with ethics.

While presenting the first awards in the presence of invited guests and members of staff, the head of CIPRMP delegates; Dr. Richards Ikpada Kpoku, extolled the high leadership and entrepreneurial prowess of Dr.Kingsley Akadidi which they carefully studied leading to his nominations for the Fellowship and Professional Doctorate awards. On the other hand, the President of West Africa (ECOWAS) Youth Council Amb (Dr).Seun Williams while sending the notice of award nomination described Dr. Kingsley Akadidi as “an exceptional Entrepreneur with a difference, a Realtor of note, a mentor to the young people,a promoter of Christ who raise kingdom leaders and a miracle to humanity”. His passion for youth development and track records in the areas of business development and expansion is worthy of emulation.

Appreciating the awards, Dr.Kingsley Akadidi reinstated his belief that true leadership is not about having a shelf full of awards but having people around full of verifiable visible impacts. He further reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment through entrepreneurship training and mentoring.
In a flashback story, Dr. Kingsley Efe Akadidi recalled how N500,000 given to him by a random friend to purchase a plot of land some years back helped him to kick-start his real Estate business which has grown into different subsidiaries without borrowing and has also safeguarded customers’ investments for over six years of operation. He pledged to be at the fore front of youth empowerment, leadership innovation and upholding the right business ethics.
