Somehow that is very true.
People really do need to think about the job they're getting into and ask themselves "Is it really worth it?".
Anyone out there knows that it's a very big mistake to specialize on an area just because of the hourly wage.
High paying jobs demand a lot of the worker's time. You're on call even on your off days, you might even be asked to stay overtime.
Not that everyone does not appreciate a lot of family time, time with husband and kids, time for themselves, but you really have to think, "Is this job worth it, the job that'll take a lot of my time?". Less vacation time, less "ehrrm" time etc. Find a job suitable enough for you, if you want to spend more time with your kids, then the med school is not for you
