enoch5553: Hi guys I've been having a LOT of issues with my airtel ODU (specifically ZLT X17U).
Just got it last month around the 25th. Everything beens working well but for like the past 4-5 days my speed has basically reduced to barely anything
I initially was getting about 22mbps steady (Although I paid for the 50mbps but tried everywhere around my house didn't really get up to that). But for the past 4 days the speed basically dipped to 2mbps like it's capped or something
I've tried calling airtel multiple times, First time I was told it'd be fixed in 72 hours although I later got a call that day that it had been fixed, I got home restarted it and it wasn't
Second time, I told the cc to escalate to their supervisor, Was told it'd be fixed in an hour. It wasn't
Third time, It was escalated again to a supervisor. He told me that a technical team person will get in contact with me in 24 hours, It's past 24 hours now and no call 😭
How did y'all fix this please🙏🏿
My fear was that maybe I'm even on my free month that's why it's slow and I should try subscribing for another month. Just for the subscription to fail through transfer and airtime. Had to call them again and they said they'll do it from their side😭.
I've been hearing about band locking and cell locking, if that'll help can someone put me through thanks🙏🏿 Likely you don hit 1TB limit |

Tover: Has any one try paying with Air time for the odu sub... I think this is the best way to get the 10percent bonus using Smartcash to send Airtel time on Ur Sim, for those that want to get the 10percent bonus This is the way i have been paying since the 20mbps plan i will first buy Airtime with Smartcash PSB to my other none Router Airtel sim to get 10% Bonus then use the Airtime buy the plan using airtime for the router sim this save 2.5k for the ODU plan and 3k for the 20mbps plan |

NSEstudent: I already wrote a message asking you to refund him until I viewed the screenshot again and realized the conversation started on WhatsApp
Do you work with Airtel though? I am asking because I have seen you ask someone for their router number. Anyone here working with Airtel should help us fix some of these problems.
This is why when someone was asking me for WhatsApp number, I requested they quote me on a dead thread. Not that the scammers will get anything from me but I'd rather waste my precious time elsewhere. The surest way to know you're communicating with the same person is if the communication was through the person's nairaland email. My email here is not active so no communication through it. Apparently Tover had posted his number somewhere on this app. No i don't work with Airtel i know someone working there though but he wasn't aware of most stuffs. It happens to me also there was a time i was asking someone about MTN 120GB i dropped my number i got DM on WhatsApp from a scammer i got curious and ask more question that way i got to know it wasn't the real person |

Tover: Everyone in this group should please be careful of someone called #morikee (morikee) morikee He messaged me on January 13th, as early as 6am, claiming he could help me change my Airtel alternative number. During my SIM registration, my MTN line was used as the alternative number because my younger brother helped me with the registration. On this platform, some people have complained that Airtel stops subscriptions when MTN is used as an alternative number, so I made a post asking if anyone knew how to change it. That was when morikee messaged me, offering to help. He initially asked for ₦7,000, but we later agreed on ₦5,000. I sent him ₦2,000 to start, with the agreement that I would complete the payment after the change was done. Later that same morning, I checked Nairaland and discovered that this same person has the exact problem and had also posted asking how to change his own alternative number to Airtel I then went to the Airtel office to confirm. The Airtel staff told me to leave it as it is, since my subscription is still working. Based on that advice, I messaged morikee and asked for a refund. I even told him to keep ₦1,000 and refund ₦1,000, but he refused to refund anything. I’m sharing this so that he doesn’t message someone else here and collect money under false claims. Please everyone, stay security-conscious and alert. When did i message you lol likely person use my username contact you i have never sell anything on this forum i do buy stuffs though becareful who you interact with |

DutchNegro: Is impossible to change your password?
Why not just change the password and push everyone out. No be everytime you go dey change password up and down true mac filtering you go allow only whitelisted Mac address to connect and you have to turn of randomized Mac address else you no fit connect |
Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by morikee: 6:58pm On Jan 13 |
NSEstudent: You're not getting it. I gave him two methods. One is the filtering (it includes IP and MAC filtering) which I elaborated. I also told him to use whitelisting instead of blacklisting so that he's in control of 'allowed' devices at any point in time without the need to always find and block new ones.
The second one I didn't elaborate because that one is what I use in my ZTE MC801A. That one is to create a Guest WiFi and decide how many people can connect to it. Different SSID, password and other rules from the main SSID. In my case I disabled guest wifi users from accessing the router IP, just in case.
So I think ZLT M30 has feature to create numerous SSIDs. Someone suggested Nokia ODU has it as well. The current ZLT ODUs don't have it. What they have, including the acclaimed ZLT X25s, is filtering. Yeah i understand i was the one that said the Nokia ODU does has the guest wifi feature |

Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by morikee: 3:11pm On Jan 13 |
NSEstudent: You have to get your hands dirty and set up filtering. You should blacklist those ones or better still, use whitelist and list only the ones you want to continue using your Wi-Fi.
This is easy with my ZTE MC801A, which is IDU for my G5F. No one else connects to my home wifi - 2.4Ghz and 5GHz. I set up guest Wi-Fi which allows exactly only one device at any given time. That Nokia ODU have this feature too omo ZLT need to step up |

seunmsg: Less than 10% of Nigerians pay personal income tax. In fact, only those in well structured paid employment get to pay. Even at that, over 90% of them don’t pay up to 30%.
Again, it’s sad to see people ignorantly thinking their personal income taxes goes to FG. No, your taxes goes to your state government fully. Tinubu gets all the blame for the tax reform while state governors take every personal income tax. Even the VAT, states take 85% while FG takes 15%. Nigeria is probably the only country where the central government doesn’t take a dime from payroll tax. In US, Germany etc, FG takes the lion share from payroll tax. Not in Nigeria. You always yarn rubbish all the time |
