Ebubemg:
Moved to fiber.
I don leave airtel odu for una
Is there a way I can get just that airtel odu big powerbank

Omo how much you dey pay this is a Gigabit plan right

somrecords:
So my subscription was activated on 6pm 26th of Jan but decided to expire 12pm 24th of Feb...

But that's not the main pain... I have been seeing shage with crazy downtime during the day, lost of band locking, frequent restarts, network toggle of and on....

But all of a sudden my subscription expires and I start getting strong 5g nsa reception. Which I never got till now

Lol to use this Airtel Unlimited you will have to become and Engineer 😂 and stay glued to this thread

Tover:
Hv U tried restarting your router wen ever U are experiencing a downtime? That is wat I do and it worked for me

No matter what i did it won't be fast until 11pm it always start around 7pm

I don’t know why with reserve appreciation but Naira no dey too follow unlike before that if the reserve increases Naira will appreciate

Hullabaloon:
House, is it possible for ODU to have 5G but normal sim doesn't?

Cos I'm seeing 5G on my router. Got excited, rushed my normal Airtel line, put it in my phone, set phone to 5g yet nothing showed up.

Abi the one on the router no real?

Yes maybe your phone 5G uses unsupported Bands

I don’t think everyone experiences the evening throttling. In my opinion, Airtel is currently the best option in Nigeria. Getting 1TB for ₦25,000 is a great deal if you ask me. I personally use up to 1.1TB every month, both at home and at work, and my neighbours even enjoy my free Wi-Fi. 2 TVs and more than 4 phones connected at the same time, all running smoothly with little or no issues—at least until my 2.4GHz developed a fault.
One of my colleagues uses Startimes internet, but I no longer need to go to his office to upgrade or download files; I can do all that comfortably from my own place. That’s why I’m always surprised when I see people complaining that 1TB for ₦25,000 is too small.

The Only downside for me na that 1TB and the evening throttle and some occasional downtime apart from that everything is ok

Na bitter politics them dey play for Nigeria if you no align with Federal Government your people go suffer

gsparks01:
Stremio app isn't even opening with Starlink until i switch to MTN.

The site dey open sha let me see if e go work here

It's working here

gsparks01:
I can't access Stremio with starlink any more. Please who has a workaround?

Are the Addons free or paid?

Obviouslyblunt:
I watch YouTube in 720p even during that downtime, just lock bands. I wouldn’t consider YouTube a heavy use case though.

I don't like that downtime at all

CuteMaro:
Man this Airtel has been serving me and it's been such a good alternative to my starlink. I even had to sell off the starlink and used the 500k for other projects.

I have no reason to complain for now, whenever there is a downtime, it only lasts a few hours. But for most of them all you need to do is band unlocking and locking and you're good to go.

You aren't a heavy user or maybe you don't experience the evening throttle

dustmalik:
No one is subscribing for this nonsense.

😂 like seriously them want use another man business enrich themselves

dustmalik:
Here is a clearer pic he shared with me. The whole thing doesn't make sense at all. He claims it's official, but I don't know what to make of it.

Lol Companies will rather buy direct from Starlink than to use this no be extortion be this Airtel want reap where they didn't sow

For me Palmpay is the best i have been using it for over 5 years

dustmalik:
It's crazy, man. Internet is darn too expensive in this country.

It should be around 45k to 50k ish Fibre should always be affordable not overpriced

dustmalik:
So, apparently, Airtel Nigeria has gotten into partnership with Starlink. However, their offerings are nonsensical, absolutely makes zero sense. I have an Airtel agent in my contact and I just saw him posted the offerings. In the morning, I will try to get a clearer image.

This people no dey rate us lol see offering 😂 do they think we are not informed or what

dustmalik:
This has always been my worry about fibre services in Nigeria. Once you understand that the laws don't protect service providers infrastructures, then there's no way you can be comfortable subscribing to any fibre service in Nigeria.

In Nigeria, anybody can simply wake up and decide to dig holes anywhere without approval from the local government/council of that area, there's absolutely zero repercussions when they damage isp infrastructures.

For context, in civilized nations, you can't dig holes even in your own property without approval from the local authority. If you do, and end up damaging these kind of infrastructures, you will pay a steep fine or go to jail.

Isn’t that 300mbps plan a little expensive for a Fibre

U don mean it 😁, pls give me the site I am interested in it ..... Pls explain how U dey do am .. i am interested in it

Na ovagames i dey use them get gdrive links too

Tover:
I wonder 750gig in 4 days ...4 U to do that U need at least 18 to 20 Mbps constant speed for 4 days non stop and Airtel will never give U that speed constantly.... .... 15 ppl no fit use am in 4 days. He must b a paid downloader Sha ... I use more then 1tb every month all I download are files to flash mobile phones Android, latest iOS files.. and PS4 games on DLS... DLS will never give U 4Mbps even na starlink U dey use as a free downloader.. it takes me more then 20 hours to download a file of 160gig PS4 game ... I also use it to watch movies at home with my family and uploaded files on my YouTube channel...

Bruh i download 129gb Game with Starlink using datanode server and average 30MB/S

There is huge Voter apathy

This project was going on since Buhari

Tover:
That is Airtel for U ,.. I cN recall that some1 had the same problem on here,, I think it happens to all zlt , what I noticed, the battery life as improved...I have been using it for 6 hours 12 mins a d the ups battery indicator still showing blue .. before the 2.4ghz got bad I used it for 5.45 hours max .. so for those that are complaining about battery, you should disable one for the server band .. I think this will help

My guy got battery issue right after installation but Airtel said they don't provide aftersales service naso hin dey use his ZLT ODU without battery thank God hin get Inverter

FreeStuffsNG:
He talks too much and that is a sign of poor use of discretion.

It's no brainer that there was no basis to be that reckless with such a simple question the journalist asked him. Very simple question he could not answer without landing in jail and becoming a serious political liability. How is that one now a politician or political asset? Smh

El Rufai should have just insinuated that he was reliably informed but yet to ascertain instead of opening mouth waah to say on TV that you and others listen to conversations from illegally tapped phone of the National Security Adviser.

Just imagine anyone saying on TV that he tapped and listens to El Rufai's conversations when he was the Executive Governor of Kaduna State. Will he El Rufai let such individual(s) walk free? He will not! As a matter of fact, El Rufai will do far worse to the individual(s) than DSS is doing with him because Asiwaju Tinubu is a democrat and due process President.

Which Jagaban is Democrat lol they are all vultures feeding on their shady corrupt practices and betrayal

Tover:
Lol. Can U use your fibreX and starlink at home and work ..? Because this is what I need, I beg help is there a way to make This 2.4ghz to work again... The 5ghz network range is too short for me

Yeah problem with 5GHz faster but shorter Range but why Airtel doesn't have an aftersales service

Tover:

Boss checkout FibreX or Starlink make you seff rest small 😂

Since i know say them go throttle me after 1TB i no dey use am like before i just dey limit data usage like fool but now i don get Starlink i dey use that one with peace of mind i don already hit 1TB+ and speed still blazing with no slowdown.

amaridigital:
Because some people in that west African country will shout witch-hunting the opposition as some are saying about ElRufai today. Some will say why now and not three years ago as if prosecution of criminal offence has a deadline, Look at how long ago this Prince committed the crime. In Nigeria some will say why arrest people from my tribe? Why arrest a Christian criminal and not a moslem criminal?

That's the complexity of this country hence why things aren't working

It will never happen in one West African country
