Some other logistics do negotiate but EMS, no; at least, so said by one of their own.

Was once asked to pay 30k for a 45k item during the COVID era. I had it returned to seller o.

I think i will also do same cus mehn i can't afford to pay 9k+ in this Sapa period as same item shipped via DHL without custom fees attached

jboixxx:
EMS is state owned! It must go through NCS.

But everything goes through NCS na even Speedaf, DHL, FedEx

mctfopt:
I always avoid EMS if I can. I wonder why goods that go through them most likely than not always seem to attract a duty to be paid.

Same goods ship with DHL without Duty only for EMS own to attract duty i travelled sha when I'm back will head to them directly they must provide the Custom duty document for me to pay else i no go gree

mctfopt:
So EMS is still doing this shît they do with crazy custom duty when goods arrive via them? Dang, I thought they've changed.

Could you imagine the Package too closed to 4 months to get here it was at Lagos chilling for over 3 months.

Olamak1:
You intentionally went for EMS or seller shipped the item using 'seller's method' which eventually ended up with them?" That shipping method, na no-go area if one really wants to avoid customs duty.

Na the Carrier chose it cus the Item Originated from France my friend wey buy similar item with DHL shipping method collected his item in less than 1 week and without custom duty while me wey my item spend 4 months with EMS they're demanding 9k+ for custom duty.

EMS don kee me item of 41,000 Naira they're demanding 9,800 as Custom duty

jboixxx:
EMS starts with EX.... And his and yours can't be similar since his cake from USA and I believe yours is from China.

From France

genius43:
I received a package on Wednesday straight from IMPC on behalf of my brother. It came from USA and it took less than a month to get here.
