I had two aunts in UK, living London and Bristol respectively, but when I came, I purposely booked my flight to Manchester and went straight to Newcastle where my accommodation and university is. Stop encouraging bad behaviour, you are not doing any good at all.

All fingers are not the same my guy. Some people spend their last cash to buy ticket and do visa and there are stranded. I think the help I gave to them was little compare to what the Indians and Pakistan give to their people in the UK

Have accommodated two different Nigeria guys I did not know at all for more than a month. One got my number from a UK group chat and chatted me that is coming to the UK as a new person and have no place to stay. I accommodate the person, feed him and I never ask him for money. Person where I nor know at all. He even offer me cash but I nor take. Right now we be paddy even though he now have his own house and he does not play with me at all. The second person I accommodate was a nigeria guy from London I met. That guy staying with me cause problem. My white flatmate was not happy at all. Some white people in my flat was telling me to charge him and some where asking me if he was my gay partner. I told them I don't do gay and am not collecting money and everything is not about money. This entitled epistle confirms something that I’ve told you guys on Nairaland before today—one of the first things Nigerians do when they arrive abroad is badmouth other Nigerians with any white people who listen and that’s another reason whites have little respect for Nigerians. White guys won’t pick a Nigerian to badmouth other white guys with but Nigerians pick any willing white people and badmouth fellow Nigerians, Cameroonians, Beninese, African-Americans, and anybody else black.
If the white colleagues cared about this guy, they would’ve immediately offered him rides to and from work when he told them their plight.
When this person made plans to migrate to the UK, he knew that he would experience cold temperatures so why would he wait until he was cold and instead of buying his own clothes, go to church and complain about the cold so that another man could use the money he hustles for to supply this guy with clothes? The guy basically said that he rather use his money to send to his people in Nigeria than spend it in the country where it is but I guess his family is Nigeria is more important that the Ghanaian’s family.
I agree that Nigerians abroad are stingy, including my own father, uncle, and aunts , but the reason is after they moved away from Nigeria, their eyes open to how manipulative and entitled some Nigerians are.
Some Nigerians here in the diaspora look for weddings to attend solely to eat free food. These people don’t bother bringing a gift and don’t bother greeting the bride, groom, or families. The average wedding reception here in the US or the UK costs $20 per guest and that adds up fast. The people they want to charge are these uninvited guests so if they want to charge the people who didn’t receive an actual invitation, don't bring even $1 as a gift, don’t bother to greet the bride or groom, immediately start begging for food, drinks, and takeaway plates in front of other guests. I don’t blame them for charging.

Don't know about US but for UK that I have stay in nobody wake up in the UK thinking about food because food is cheap. Last year December I bought two bags fill with food with just 11 pounds and you can eat as u like in some restaurant in the UK as much as u want without taking the food outside the restaurant as low as 10 pounds. So food as never been problem. Most Nigeria goes to Nigeria marriage not because of food but dey just want to feel Nigeria vibe such as listen to Nigeria song, see people laugh and merry and just get that feeling for once that you are in Nigeria. So my dear stop thinking that people in the UK are so miserable to the extent that dey start looking for food. Remember this is a develop country and have pass the stage of hunger. Right now dey are fighting obesity because people eat too much here

Really, so what you wrote up there is true. It is ridiculous that one would be looking for weddings to attend solely for free food when access to food is one of the biggest differenciator btw the US and Nigeria.

On the aspect of "stingy" or "stinginess". It's more of cultural differences. The Nigeria man feels more comfortable sharing his last N1k with his friend than and American doing so with his last $10.
I could recall offering free rides to Americans and some would offer me 5 bucks for gas. I'll tell him, keep it to yourself, it's a norm to offer free rides to others in Nigeria without seeking anything in return. That really puzzled some of them.
Nigerians are quick in copying what I'll call "negatives" abroad and fail to copy the many "positives" that can make them a better person. Like any other place or people the US has great ethics which I always highlight but the money culture is very upsetting.

Most people here are complaining I have entitlement mentality but am not here to complain about people not helping me because am living comfortable and by God grace am a big Boy. What am trying to say is that Nigeria exploit people alot. There was once of my friend that move from London to my town to stay and he was living in hotel. I told him to come and stay with me in my room in which we share bed together. My flatmate that where white was not happy with me and some where asking me if he was paying me for him to stay with me in which I said No. Then my white flatmate started asking me if he was my gay partner that he is incovinence me and I should charge him. I told all the white people that every thing is not about money that some times friendship is better than money

You don't compare Nigerian system to the UK, people are free to charge for taking you to work everyday here, i used to pay an Asian work mate £20 a week for taking me to work 4days a week, we were about 3 he takes to work and we are happy to pay that.

Guy I go soon buy my car and I will carry people free. I don't know why u will charge people to the same direction u are going. That is a sign of greed. Imagine if nobody is going to that direction u go still drive that the same car empty to that place

Last year when I enter into the U. K the person that took me from the train station to house told me to pay his transport fare and sim card as noivce I paid the money. After some months I later attended church and I was complaining about cold in which a Ghanaian man took me for shopping and bought winter cloths for me. Can you imagine me my Nigerian friends was asking me if he was gay because my fellow man took me out for shopping?
Also a Nigeria man organise his marriage in the UK and charge every one 20 pounds to enter his marriage reciption. That we can't come and eat free food in his marriage. When I got covid last year All my Nigeria friends did not visit me. It was only my Ghanaian friends that visited me with provision and I was beginning to get feed up with my naija people.
Also at my place of work do u know my Nigeria people charge as money close to uber price and more expensive than bus just to take us to the same work there are going and if u complain there will tell u to go and catch the bus in which UK bus is very frustrating because the bus always pass a very long route.

Russian soldiers are said to be calling a ‘surrender hotline’ in their droves since Vladimir Putin’s announcement of partial mobilisation.

Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark appeared tearful in a recent interview with Danish publication B.T. whilst discussing the removal of their children's royal titles.

It was announced last Wednesday that Queen Margrethe II has decided that four of her grandchildren – Prince Nikolai, Prince Felix, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena – will be stylised as the Count and Countess of Monpezat from the start of 2023.

In the interview, Prince Joachim was visibly emotional whilst answering questions. According to the publication, a French woman approached the royal pair during the interview to tell them their children will always be Princesses in their eyes which left "the couple speechless and they both [began] to cry because they [were] so touched."

It is thought the decision was made by the Queen in a bid to slim down the monarchy.

Addressing this in the interview, Joachim said: " The reality must still be whether you modernize or slim down, it must be done in a proper way. It's about children. Orderliness and children. It is a very heavy matter.”
