Mosbus has done it again...I think he over did it this time. I took my 2006 Honda Accord DC to his shop for Air condition repairs. The AC was dead and gone from when I got the car but I didn't mind so I still bought the car like that. The car was in very good shape so why let it go when I can easily fix its problems. I knew fully well that the Air-condition can be brought back to life. Some parts/accessories and many hours later, the AC is back to life. The only problem is that I cannot use the AC beyond the number one level or I will literally freeze to death. Thank you Mosbus for the good job.

Drain out the refrigerant and vacuum the system before refilling make sure you check the quantity on the bonnet of the car.
Pls follow manufacturer prescriptions.

Am not in the position to condemn any body's product.
But the only gas i trust and used,in fact i even run the test with my gas analyzing machine is harp and snow they are 99.9 pure R134a.

Pls be careful with the R134a gas you use on your vehicles.
Most gas are written R134a but mixed with R22 and R12 which causes breakdowns to most compressor.

Please does heat or sun affect AC.? If I packed my car for a longtime under the AC. After starting the car, it takes a very long time, probably 40mins or 1hr before the AC will started working (getting cold). Toyota corolla 03 model

You have low refrigerant in the system,pls be informed if you have low refrigerant in the system the radiator fan won't pick up second speed until the engine is very hot.
1,check refrigerant level.
2.check radiator fan speed.

My Ford Galaxy 2002 model had a leaky condenser and a leaky valve after which it was replaced and gassed. It worked well and after about 2 weeks, it stopped cooling and blows hot. What could be wrong. I read online that its receiver/drier should be replace every 2 years. I have never done that cos I just bought it 2mths ago.

Buy UV dye oil and inject it into the system before you finally conclude.you might be having leakage on the fitting or compressor oil seal.

1,hoses and pipes with inline mufflers.
2,condenser (flat tube multi flow).
3,evaporator (flat tube multi flow).

Hi Mosbus- i have been looking for you based on recommendation. i just got a tokunbo Honda accord 2008 ike 2wks ago. the AC cools on the passenger side (although not as i want it to) than on the driver side. i havent topped the gas since i bought it. people said they usually reduce the ac gas before importing the cars because of explosion. dunno how true that is.

please what do you suggest? i was already planning on buying R134a andi thoought i should ask for your opinion first.

When it stops working apparently the diagnosis is: the compressor is not getting power, but the relay and fuses are ok.

Went to change the AC switch panel on the dash and the guy was honest enough to tell me he didn't think there's anything wrong with the one i have there at the moment

he then removed the relay and stuck a wire into the slots, and the compressor starts. he said the Relay is fine which is really confusing......




also watched another stick a long screwdriver down to push the AC Clutch and it started. that one said the AC clutch needs to be 'serviced' whatever that means. Doesn't add up for me because like i said the system does work fine when it works.....



I just need to know precisely what needs to be fixed. Thus far no one seems to be sure. Haven't let anyone touch anything though. Not a big fan of guesswork.

If your RPM is very low the compressor will not pick up,clean your injector system.
If the same fault persists look for a good technician that has a scanning machine to scan the AC system

I also suspect the condenser and like you suspect as well, the fan.....I will probably check it tomorrow just to be sure. I feel many AC technician rush to call the compressor because it is an easy way out.....I am still trying to understand why thesame compressor will do a good job at night and early in the morning only to struggle in the hot afternoons. Not like it does not catch in the afternoon but it struggles to get cooler than outside temperature. However, soon as water was poured on the condenser the AC started working fine again.

That's why I want to get a second opinion on this before using money to change anything, I wouldn't want to spend money buying another compressor only to be told it is another thing.

I know the temp control knob does not work I have a feeling it's not on max cold.

It's meant for short bursts like the scenario you stated not to be used all the time is what I said.

The recirculation switch needs to be ON all times because of our environment.

Does the Servo motors for doors also control the ac control?

Is it what you can work on or rewire work?

The servo motor works with the ac controls and if it is faulty you need to change the motor because when ever you scan the ac system it will be complaining that motor

Hi Mosbus,I just acquire 2009 Toyota Corolla. The first ac control nob for redirecting air is not functioning. what could be the problem?

The other two control nobs are working perfectly. The air is only supplied from vents on the dash board. The other vents under seat and on top the dash board are not working becos of the control nob not functioning.

The Servo motor responsible for the doors might be faulty

Your car don't have cabin filter.
The only filter it has is in between the middle air vent.
It is like net,you will to dismantle the dashboard before you can take it out.

Emphatic NO. even the manual will tell you that is for a temporary boost. That is not meant to be on all the time.

Pls stop comparing Nigeria to other countries our environment is very dirty.so many things aren't properly controlled.
The only time you need to put the recirculation button off is when you park your car and the weather is very hot.
But always remember to put it on when ever you are driving if you really need your car to be cooling proper and also to provent yourself from unnecessary smells around.
Some cars are controlled automatically once you put off the car the servo motor opens the recirculation door automatically.
