Nairaland General10 Conspiracy Theories That Turned Out To Be True by moscyt(op): 5:08pm On Aug 26, 2015
In recent years, the mere notion of the conspiracy theory has increasingly been stigmatized and ridiculed by mainstream news outlets, internet trolls, and “rational” thinkers. Yet, with powerful revelations by Edward Snow-den, Chelsea Manning, WikiLeaks, and generations of intrepid journalists, we now know that many outlandish geopolitical and domestic “conspiracy theories” were and are cold-blooded truths of the modern world. Here are 10 that are well-documented and profoundly disturbing…

1) The Gulf of Tonkin Incident
https://theantimedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/tonkin.jpg

The Gulf of Tonkin incident, a major escalator of US involvement in the Vietnam War, never actually occurred.

It’s true. The original incident – also sometimes referred to as the USS Maddox Incident(s) –involved the destroyer USS Maddox supposedly engaging three North Vietnamese Navy torpedo boats as part of an intelligence patrol. The Maddox fired almost 300 shells.

President Lyndon B. Johnson promptly drafted the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, which became his administration’s legal justification for military involvement in Vietnam. The problem is the event never happened.

In 2005, a declassified internal National Security Agency study revealed that there were NO North Vietnamese naval vessels present during the incident. So, what was the Maddox firing at? In 1965, President Johnson commented: “For all I know, our Navy was shooting at whales out there.”

Worth pointing out: The NSA’s own historian, Robert J. Hanyok, wrote a report stating that the agency had deliberately distorted intelligence reports in 1964. He concluded: “The parallels between the faulty intelligence on Tonkin Gulf and the manipulated intelligence used to justify the Iraq War make it all the more worthwhile to re-examine the events of August 1964.”

2) Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment

https://theantimedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Tuskegee-syphilis.gif

Between 1932 and 1972, the US Public Health Service conducted a clinical study on rural African American men who had contracted syphilis. The Public Health Service never informed these men they had a sexually transmitted disease, nor did they offer treatment, even after penicillin became available as a cure in the 1940s.

Tragically, it’s true. Rather than receiving treatment, the subjects of these studies were told they had “bad blood.”

When World War II began, 250 of the men registered for the draft and were only then, for the first time, informed they had syphilis. Even then, the PHS denied them treatment.

By the early 1970s, 128 of the original 399 men had died of syphilis and syphilis-related complications, 40 of their wives had the disease and 19 of their children were born with congenital syphilis.

Worth pointing out: A similar experiment conducted on prisoners, soldiers, and patients of a mental hospital in Guatemala actually involved the PHS deliberately infecting the patients and then treating them with antibiotics

3) Project MKUltra

https://theantimedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/MKultra.jpg

The CIA ran secret mind control experiments on US citizens from the 1950s until 1973.

It’s so true that in 1995 President Clinton actually issued a formal apology on behalf of the US government.

Essentially, the CIA used drugs, electronics, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, verbal and sexual abuse, and torture to conduct experimental behavioral engineering experiments on subjects. The program subcontracted hundreds of these projects to over 80 different institutions, including universities, hospitals, prisons, and pharmaceutical companies.

Most of this was uncovered in 1977 when a Freedom of Information Act exposed 20,000 previously classified documents and triggered a series of Senate hearings. Because CIA Director Richard Helms had most of the more damning MKULTRA files destroyed in 1973, much of what actually occurred during these experiments is still unknown and, of course, not a single person was brought to justice.

Worth pointing out: There is growing evidence that Theodore Kaczynski, otherwise known as the Unabomber, was a subject of the Project MKULTRA while he was at Harvard in the late 1950s

4) Operation Northwoods

https://theantimedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Operation-Northwoods.jpg

The Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US military drew up and approved plans to create acts of terrorism on US soil in order to sway the American public into supporting a war against Cuba.

It’s true and the documents are out there.

Fortunately, President Kennedy rejected the plan, which included: innocent Americans being shot dead on the streets; boats carrying refugees fleeing Cuba to be sunk on the high seas; a wave of violent terrorism to be launched in Washington, D.C., Miami, and elsewhere; people being framed for bombings they did not commit; and planes being hijacked.

Additionally, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, led by Chairman Lyman Lemnitzer, planned to fabricate evidence that would implicate Fidel Castro and Cuban refugees as the perpetrators of the attacks.

Perhaps most horrifyingly, Lemnitzer planned for an elaborately staged incident whereby a Cuban aircraft would attack and shoot down a plane full of college students.

5) CIA Drug Trafficking

https://theantimedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/CIAdrugs.jpg

During the 1980s, the CIA facilitated the sale of cocaine to the Crips and Bloods street gangs of Los Angeles and funneled millions in drug profits to a Latin American guerrilla army.

It’s convoluted and complex, but it’s true.

Gary Webb’s book Dark Alliance: The CIA, the Contras, and the Crack Cocaine Explosion outlines how CIA-backed Contras smuggled cocaine into the U.S. and then distributed crack to Los Angeles gangs, pocketing the profits. The CIA directly aided the drug dealers to raise money for the Contras.

“This drug network,” Webb wrote in a 1996 San Jose MercuryNews article, “opened the first pipeline between Colombia’s cocaine cartels and the black neighborhoods of Los Angeles, a city now known as the ‘crack’ capital of the world. The cocaine that flooded in helped spark a crack explosion in urban America . . . and provided the cash and connections needed for L.A.’s gangs to buy automatic weapons.”

Worth pointing out: On December 10, 2004, Webb committed suicide under suspicious circumstances, namely the fact that he used two bullets to shoot himself in the head.

6) Operation Mockingbird

In the late 1940s, as the Cold War was just getting underway, the CIA launched a top secret project called Operation Mockingbird. Their goal was to buy influence and control among the major media outlets. They also planned to put journalists and reporters directly on the CIA payroll, which some claim is ongoing to this day. The architects of this plan were Frank Wisner, Allen Dulles, Richard Helms, and Philip Graham (publisher of The Washington Post), who planned to enlist American news organizations and journalists to basically become spies and propagandists.

Their list of entrenched agents eventually included journalists from ABC, NBC, CBS, Time, Newsweek, Associated Press, United Press International (UPI), Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps-Howard, and Copley News Service. By the 1950s, the CIA had infiltrated the nation’s businesses, media, and universities with tens of thousands of on-call operatives.

Fortunately, our media is no longer lured in by corporations and governments to disseminate propaganda and disinformation….hmmm, never mind–strike that last statement.

7) COINTELPRO
https://theantimedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/martin.jpg
COINTELPRO was a series of clandestine, illegal FBI projects that infiltrated domestic political organizations to discredit and smear them. This included critics of the Vietnam War, civil rights leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King and a wide variety of activists and journalists.

The acts committed against them included psychological warfare, slander using forged documents and false reports in the media, harassment, wrongful imprisonment and, according to some, intimidation and possibly violence and assassination.

Similar and possibly more sophisticated tactics are still used today, including NSA monitoring

cool Operation Snow White

https://theantimedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/snowwhite.jpg

Operation Snow White is the name given to an unprecedented infiltration of the US government by the Church of Scientology during the 1970s. They stole classified government files regarding Scientology from dozens of government agencies.

In 1977, the FBI finally cracked Snow White open which led to the arrest and imprisonment of a senior Church official.

The core mission of the program was to expose and legally expunge “all false and secret files of the nations of operating areas” and to enable Church seniors and L. Ron Hubbard himself to “frequent all Western nations without threat.” By the end, of course, there was nothing legal about their endeavors.

9) Secret Global Economic Policies
https://theantimedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Leaders_of_TPP_member_states.jpg

For years, activists who feared a sinister globalist corporatocracy were told they were being paranoid. Whether you want to call it the New World Order or not: they were right.

In 2013, WikiLeaks released the secretly negotiated draft text for the entire TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) Intellectual Property Rights Chapter. It revealed a closed-door regional free trade agreement being negotiated by countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the United States, and Vietnam.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation says TPP has “extensive negative ramifications for users’ freedom of speech, right to privacy and due process, and [will] hinder peoples’ abilities to innovate.”

Worth pointing out: In June 2014, WikiLeaks revealed the even more far-reaching Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA), a 50-country agreement that will promote unprecedented levels of privatization across the world. The agreement will essentially prevent governments from returning public services into public hands. This could dramatically affect our ability to enact environmental regulations and keep workers safe.

10) The US Government Illegally Spies On Its Own Citizens

https://theantimedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/surveillance2-compressed.jpg

This used to be laughed at as a dystopian fantasy derived from an overactive imagination, Orwell’s 1984, and a juvenile distrust of the government. When you claimed “they” were spying on you, people labeled you a paranoid conspiracy theorist, a tinfoil hat-wearing loon.

Even after it was revealed that the NSA has been illegally eavesdropping on us and collecting our cell phone metadata for over a decade, people still hedged on the meaning of it. Yes, they are analyzing our transmissions, but it’s under the auspices of national security. “In a post 9/11 world” certain liberties must be sacrificed for the sake of security, right?

It turns out that is patently untrue. Not only is there no evidence that the NSA has protected us from terrorism, there is growing evidence that it makes us more vulnerable. Thanks to revelations about the NSA and their Prism project, we know that the scope of the NSA’s eavesdropping is even beyond what we originally believed.

In early June of 2014, the Washington Post reported that almost 90% of the data being collected by NSA surveillance programs is from Internet users with no connection to terrorist activities. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, this is in clear violation of the constitution.

The ACLU is pursuing a lawsuit against the NSA, claiming that the dragnet-style mass collection of data violates the Fourth Amendment right of privacy as well as the First Amendment rights of free speech and association.

10 Horror Movies Based on Real Life Stories

Horror movies often promote themselves as being based on true stories but many seem to stretch the meaning of the word. Setting the movie in a world where the ‘true to life’ events are so off the wall its no longer believable. Other movies based on real life crime stories are known to actually downplay the events. A recent film called Perfect Sisters, portrayed the story of the Bathtub Sisters who maliciously drowned their mother in a bathtub and nearly got away with it. The real story is much more gruesome than the film makes it out to be and promote sympathy for the sisters involved and casting them as the protagonists. The real story was much more dark than two teenagers finally snapping on their alcoholic mother and her abusive boyfriend but instead plotted her murder calculatingly with no signs of remorse. The sisters reportedly were giggling as the autopsy photos were shown in court.

Still real life horror stories have a way of sticking with a viewer more than other genres. Real life sociopaths and serial killers make us think before walking alone at night and be the reason for sleeping with the light on. Despite many true to life movies based on real events to fabricate a good portion of the film some are more true than people would expect and the accuracies are enough to haunt anyone’s nightmares. The world can be a cruel dark place and as this list of horror movies will show terrifying things can happen outside of the world of fiction and your nightmares. Maybe checking under the bed doesn’t seem like such a bad idea.

10. The Conjuring, 2013
https://static0.therichestimages.com/cdn/800/539/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/conjuring-doll.jpg

The Conjuring was released in 2013 and advertised as true story based from the case files of Ed and Lorraine Warren, two paranormal investigators. After the release of the film, people were questioning the accuracy of the chilling events which originally seem to be too terrifying to possibly be true. The paranormal team investigated the Rhode Island farmhouse in the 1970’s and what they found was so disturbing the events stayed locked away and weren’t discussed. Ed Warren has passed away and his his wife, now 86, didn’t comment on the film but a friend who knew the family well claimed everything in the film including the presence of the witch really transpired. A family member living in the farmhouse has written a book about her personal experiences claimed the film was well done and quite accurate with the exception of a few minor differences and added there were plenty of experiences that didn’t make the movie.

9. The Haunting in Connecticut, 2009

https://static9.therichestimages.com/cdn/864/575/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/The-Haunting-in-Connecticut-the-haunting-in-connecticut-5060128-2100-1398.jpg

The 2009 film The Haunting in Connecticut did take many artistic liberties with the story of a family who moved into an old mortuary in the 1980’s. Carmen Reed, who lived in the house, claimed the story was altered to be more “Hollywood” but there were many disturbing accuracies. One scene in the movie when the shower curtain nearly suffocated her niece. The scene really happened, but it was Reed and not her niece trapped in the curtain. The seances in the film never happened in real life but the exorcism was real and actually downplayed in order for the film to get a PG-13 rating. The true events couldn’t be put in the movie because they were more intense.

8. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, 1974

https://static2.therichestimages.com/cdn/864/288/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/dvd_texas.jpg

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was banned in several countries after its release because of the level of violence. It portrays the story of a group of friends who appear at a chainsaw wielding serial killers house and his family of cannibals. The killer is nicknamed Leatherface because he wears the skinned face of his victims as a mask. In reality, the film is based on the real life case of Wisconsin’s Edward Gein in the 1950’s. Crazy Ed, the real life serial killer, liked to wear the skinned faces of his victims and decorated his farmhouse with human remains. There is no concrete proof Gein was a cannibal but some evidence points to the possibility. The police found a human heart in a pan on the killers stove when they arrested him. When the police asked if he was planning on eating it he asked them if they thought he was crazy. The killer is also the inspiration for Hollywood’s Silence of the Lambs and Psycho.

7. Nightmare on Elm Street, 1984

https://static7.therichestimages.com/cdn/864/484/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/a-nightmare-on-elm-street-1984-movie-still-robert-englund-as-freddy-kruger.png

In 2012, the New York Times included this film on The Best 1000 Movies Ever Made list. It is a memorable film about a disfigured boogeyman like character that enters his victims dreams during the night to kill them with a glove of razors. The movie is not promoted as being based on real life, but there are some startling overlaps that relate to unexplained deaths in Southeast Asia. Men were dying in the middle of nightmares with no clear cause of death. One was the 21 year old son of a physician, who was told to sleep by his family and claimed people didn’t understand, that he had nightmares before and this was different. Later during the night the family heard thrashing and screams and he was dead by the time they arrived.

6. The Girl Next Door, 2007

https://static2.therichestimages.com/cdn/864/486/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/thegirlnextdoor04.png

The movie is based on a novel of the same name and a real life crime that took place in Indiana in 1965. The movie is of a teenage girl who was getting tortured by her aunt in unimaginable ways. In reality, Sylvia Likens was tortured by Gertrude Baniszewski and her children and other neighborhood children. The prosecutor at the trial called Likens death as possibly the most terrible crime that ever happened in Indiana. The movie did alter the truth in some ways. Liken was never raped by any of the boys but was forced to use a coke bottle on herself in front of them.

5. The Amityville Horror, 1979
https://static4.therichestimages.com/cdn/864/464/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/c60f349cbec48e8d3196cd5676972593.png

The original 1979 film was based on the true story of the Lutz family and images that were allegedly seen when they moved into there New York house where a family had been brutally murdered. The movie is based on a book of the same name documenting the Lutz’s real life experience, although did take some creative liberties. The book was still placed in the true crime section of bookstores. The movie does exaggerate on some important facts and is far from being a documentary, but much of the film allegedly did happen, including human-like apparitions and beds slamming up and down.

4. Jaws, 1975

https://static0.therichestimages.com/cdn/864/486/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/jaws-original.jpg

The classic 1975 horror film Jaws is the reason many people developed a fear of sharks. The movie is based on a novel of the same name and is the story of a police chief from a small island going on the hunt for a killer great white shark. It is based on a string of very real shark attacks on the Jersey Shore in 1916. The original shark attacks happened during the tourist season and after the first one, authorities downplayed the danger and left the beaches open while a group of vigilantes entered the water and hunted the killer shark. Some events and characters seem to overlap but the author denied the correlation although the 1916 attacks were on the minds of writers for the film Jaws and the character Brody even mentions them. It’s unclear if a single rogue great white shark was responsible for the real attacks or if bull sharks were involved because some attacks happened in freshwater.

3. Eaten Alive, 1977

https://static8.therichestimages.com/cdn/864/581/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/eaten_alive_1977_01.jpg

The film Eaten Alive tells the story of a small town hotel owner who is a serial killer that feeds the bodies of his victims to a large pet crocodile. The story is based on a similar story of Joe Ball, an operator of the Sociable Inn in Elmendorf, Texas in the early 1900’s. Ball was also an alleged serial killer who kept a pond full of alligators next to the Inn. After police questioned him about the disappearance of his wife and former girlfriend, a handyman claimed to have helped Ball dispose of the bodies. It was known Ball often fed animals to his alligators and they searched the pond but never found human remains. Despite the lack of evidence, rumors claimed Ball had killed as many as 30 women and fed their remains to his alligators. Ball committed suicide in 1938.

2. The Exorcism of Emily Rose, 2005

https://static0.therichestimages.com/cdn/864/359/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/1shot0014.png

The film follows the trial of Father Richard Moore who was charged with negligent homicide after the death of Emily Rose during a failed exorcism. There is some fact in the movie. A German girl, Anneliese Michel, died of dehydration and starvation after months of intense exorcism attempts by two catholic priests. She had been undergoing psychiatric treatment for years for the disorders experts believe to be schizophrenia and dissociative identity disorder. The priest and Michel’s parents were found guilty of manslaughter and inspired the church to reform exorcism policies.

1. The Exorcist, 1973

https://static2.therichestimages.com/cdn/688/367/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/exorcist.jpg

The 1973 classic horror movie tells the story of a 12 year old girl who is plagued by a demonic possession. Her mother tries to get her child back and two priests perform an exorcism. There is some truth to the story and the film is inspired by a 1949 case of a young boy. The boy went on to survive the exorcism and live a normal life but his case was not nearly a drastic as the movie portrays. The exorcist was not only inspired by a true story but started the trend on basing horror movies on real life cases.
HealthTop 10 Most Deadly Creatures Known To Man by moscyt(op): 7:45pm On Aug 19, 2015
Human beings may be at the top of the food chain, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have to be wary of the world around them. People can perish in thousands of ways, from natural causes to some of Mother Nature’s finest predators. In this video from Top10Archive, we will look at some of man’s most predominant adversaries, listed by highest yearly approximate death toll and not by lethality. Please keep in mind that this list in not entirely accurate, as many sources contradict information and the numbers may vary greatly from year to year.

Before we move on with our list, we should mention that out of technicality, humans are technically the deadliest creature known to man. However, we have decided to omit ourselves out of this list. Collectively, well over 2 million people will die annually from suicide, prescription drug overdoses, tobacco, alcohol, murder, war, and neglect. We are our own worst enemy.

10. The Tapeworm

https://www.top10archive.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Pork-Tapeworm.jpg

One form of Tapeworm, the Pork Tapeworm, has a direct link to Cysticercosis, a tissue infection that is responsible for approximately 1,200 to 2,000 deaths per year. Typically contracted by eating under-cooked pork, the Pork Tapeworm’s egg is essentially the leading cause for the disease. Effects to the nervous system, muscles, eyes, and skin typically follow infection of Cysticercosis, with seizures, typically in third world countries, being a sign of the disease. Most deaths are caused from the lack of prevention and treatment centers.

9. Ascaris Roundworm

https://www.top10archive.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Ascaris-Roundworm.jpg

The largest roundworm found in humans, the Ascaris Roundworm has another frightening truth to it – it is inadvertently responsible for up to 2,500 human deaths per year. Humans playing host to the Ascaris Roundworm may also be infected with Ascariasis, a disease that typically effects the abdominal portion of the body. How does one contract such a disease? Like the Pork Tapeworm, by ingesting food or beverages infected with Ascaris Roundworm larvae or egg. The Ascaris turns its host into a living, breathing breeding ground for more of its kind; and the more worms that are present, the more prevalent the disease will become.

8. Crocodiles

https://www.top10archive.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Crocodiles.jpg

Terrifyingly keen underwater and deceptively fast on land, crocodiles are a fascinating species responsible for nearly 2,500 deaths per year. These stumpy little reptiles come equipped with mandibles capable of a bite force of more than 5,000 lbf – or pounds of force – one of the highest bite forces recorded out of any creature. What makes the crocodile such an effective killer is its stealth-like tactics, its low stature making its scaly hide difficult to see among high brush. Once trapped in its strong jaws, escape is an unlikely scenario. In the water, the crocodile is an even deadlier animal.

7. Scorpions

https://www.top10archive.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Venomous-Scorpions.jpg

Of the 1,500 species of scorpion out there, only 25 are equipped with a deadly venom. Regardless of only roughly 1% of the scorpion population being deadly, these arachnids are still responsible for approximately 3,000 human deaths a year. When it comes to human and scorpion interaction, it is extremely rare for a scorpion to sting a human just for the fun of it. The venom of a scorpion is often used primarily as a defensive mechanism against predators rather than offensive against prey. When traversing territory known for its scorpion population, it is best to look before you step – else you may be on the wrong end of a stinger.

6. The Freshwater Snail

https://www.top10archive.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Schistosoma-Freshwater-Snail.jpg

Though they are a delicacy in some parts of the world, and pets to some, there is something malicious about the Freshwater Snail that all must be wary of. Schistosoma, a kind of flat worm parasite, are responsible for a high amount of human deaths per year, easily reaching 10,000 people. Schistosoma, also known as blood-flukes, is directly responsible for Schistosomiasis, a disease that could lead to liver damage, kidney failure, or bladder cancer. The disease is symptomized with diarrhea, abdominal pain, bloody stool, and traces of blood in urine. Once infected by Schistosoma, any human being could become a breeding ground, with the parasites eggs being laid in anywhere from the bladder to the kidneys.

5. The Assassin Bug

https://www.top10archive.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Domestic-Dogs-Rabies-and-Mauling-Deaths.jpg

The Reduviidae, or Assassin Bug, is a family of insects that houses the subfamily Traitominae – a bug know for being a fatal carrier of Chagas disease. These blood sucking insects inhabit parts of the Americas, from southern United States to northern Argentina. Much like mosquito’s, the Traitominae suck blood from living vertebrae, including humans, and wind up transmitting parasites like the Trypanosoma cruzi to their host. Trypanosoma cruzi, the parasite responsible for Chagas disease (or sleeping sickness, in Africa), will nest inside of a human, going unnoticed for upwards of 20 years before internal organs become affected. 20 to 30% of infected will suffer from enlarged heart ventricles, leading to eventual heart failure and death. This creature is the direct result of some 10,000 human beings every year.

4. The Tsetse Fly
https://www.top10archive.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Tsetse-Fly-Sleeping-Sickness.jpg

The Tsetse fly. Sounds like a harmless enough insect, but the Tsetse is up there as one of Africa’s most famed killers. The Tsetse doesn’t rely on powerful maws or impressive weight to take down a person – in fact, the creature likely doesn’t even know it’s about to kill an individual with just one simple bite. The Tsetse is known for its disease transmission and is responsible for over 10,000 deaths per year, as seen in the case of the spread of African sleeping sickness – a disease with an 80% mortality rate. A widespread campaign against the insect has been undergone in parts of Africa and include pesticides, trapping and slaughtering the Tsetse’s food supply.

3. Domestic Dogs

https://www.top10archive.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Snake-Bite-Human-Deaths.jpg

They’re cute, they’re cuddly, but in the wrong hands, they can be extremely dangerous. Domestic dogs can be tamed, but all it takes is an ill-fitted owner or someone with intent and a domesticated canine can turn into a vicious killing machine. On a yearly average, domestic dogs are responsible for 30 to 180 deaths per year – if one were to only consider mauling. What puts domestic dogs so high on this list is when rabies is considered, which increases their number from 30 deaths per year to closer to 25,000.

2. Snakes

https://www.top10archive.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Snake-Bite-Human-Deaths.jpg

With over 3,400 species of snakes out there, there are bound to be a few that are less-than-friendly to humans. According to the 50,000 deaths per year by serpents, though, there may be far more than just a few. While the common cobra or rattlesnake are known for their toxicity, there are far more venomous snakes out there, like the Inland Taipan, the Eastern Brown snake, Black Tiger snake, and Western Australian Tiger snake. Those responsible for the most human casualties, though, are the Indian cobra, Common krait, Russell’s viper, and Saw-scaled viper; and while there is a polyvalent serum that neutralizes the venom, not everyone is fortunate enough to receive treatment in time. What’s more terrifying about these statistics is that non-venomous snakes are also responsible for quite a few deaths every year as well, mainly due to untreated bites that result in bacterial infections. A large majority of casualties resulting from snake bites are in parts of the world where anti-venom and treatment centers aren’t prevalent.

1. Mosquito’s

https://www.top10archive.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Mosquitos-Human-Deaths-Malaria.jpg

Like the Tsetse, the mosquito is an unaware killer, spreading disease by doing what it’s naturally inclined to do. With an impressive death toll of close to 1,000,000 people per year, the mosquito reigns supreme as the top contender for man’s largest adversary. Diseases like West Nile and Malaria are common among the many diseases that mosquito’s can spread. Through the transmission of blood via the mosquito’s feeding process, outside of complete eradication, there’s really no stopping these buzzing menaces from continuing their inadvertent slaughter.

EducationRe: I Will Kill Myself On Wednesday by moscyt(m): 2:34pm On Jul 26, 2015
fellow being:
I will kill myself on Wednesday if am not able to sort this out. I'm tired of this life even though people around believe all is well with me.

I am a 23 year old undergraduate of University of Ilorin. I am a spill over student due for graduation last year. I had 2 courses for first semester and 5 courses for second semester, including project. I really tried my best this year, so that I can graduate. The trauma, depression, studying with my juniors, O God, after stressing myself reading day and night, preparing hard and settling project issues, just to discover that I failed 2 courses in second semester. I will now splash, not again.

I am pressing some buttons IF the courses can be waved. I discovered that I failed the two on friday after checking my results at the level adviser's office.

How will I inform my parents? I don't have a choice than to just end this if nothing can be done before Wednesday evening.

The pressure is just too much. I am the first born of my parent. They are expecting the good news not the splash news again, not after supporting me for a year.
I'm sorry about your situation bro, but not graduating is not the end of the world, we've seen people graduating after using more than 5years in the university system. Sometimes what comes easy for other might be hard for you to get not cos they are better than you but just for you to appreciate it the more. I'm also a victim of this circumstance but I'm still alive. Don't always think of what your mates have achieved. Because they are making money doesn't mean they making your own. There is no first to reach or last to reach in success. You are hale and hearty, go to the hospital you will see a lot of peeps just praying for the opportunity to live their lives, they don't bother themselves with the issue of education, money or all those stuffs, just for them to be healthy. if you kill yourself, I can assure you that will be the beginning of your suffering and if you still want to do it I suggest you donate your organs and everything for those who still wants to live. You will be remembered for making the world a better place for them to live in.

Any banker who read this post will know that it is a FAKE NEWS. The man was obviously getting the huge cash for BDC. The abokis usually collect their money in bulk both dollar/naira.
And the counting machine beside the cash is used for dollar counting and counterfeit checking in banks and the potrait pix is a verification picture taking by bank officials during dollar purchase, western union and moneygram.
Sahara reporters should leave fake news for FNN.com
Thank you. moreover, that place does not look like a bulk room to me, it looks like an office of one of the nbank officials. They mostly do that for security measures so as to prevent people from tagging the owner of the money. If you know what I mean.
