Noodles is the most preferred and fastest fast food by majority of homes world over and Nigeria is no exception. Noodles is very easy to prepare, very cheap (though doesn't last long, no wonder some of my folks calls it snack) & can be eaten uncooked too. There are diverse ways people prepare their noodles depending on what suits them at the present time and how they want it. As a huge noodles fan, I prepared and compiled the following varieties of noodles. Pic 1: This is one of the most easily prepared noodles in most Nigerian homes. It is very simple to prepare with less ingredients. Ingredients includes; Fresh pepper, onion, tomatoes and slightly scrambled eggs. Pic 2: This particular noodles time consuming because of the various ingredients and mouthwatering decorations placed around. It still takes the conventional pattern but with a lot of things on things like; fried Plantain, fried chicken, boiled eggs, fresh tomatoes & pepper. This one is very rich & catchy. Pic 3: This is my favorite way of preparing noodles due to the sea foods used in the preparation (as an ijaw man & a typical Niger Deltan, is very difficult for me to prepare any dish without adding one or two fresh sea foods). This one is quite tedious due to the ingredients used in its preparation. Ingredients like; fresh prawns (lobster), curry leave, carrots, green pepper, egg, sardine, fresh tomatoes & sweet corn. Pic 4: This is more or less the popular aboki pattern where every ingredients are mixed together and fried together. This pattern and the conventional boiling pattern are the easiest to prepare and most common in Nigerian homes. Other notable varieties my caterer mom taught me includes; White noodles and honey Noodles and sauce (red or white sauce) Vegetable noodles Intercontinental noodles While some prefer their noodles soft and sticky, I prefer my noodles crunchy and non sticky. If you want your noodles not to be sticky, you add a tea spoon of vegetable oil when preparing. Son Of A Caterer Typical Ijaw Man Typical Niger Deltan
