The Apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has disassociated the Igbo from statements credited to the leader of Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on the destruction of Yoruba assets in Lagos.

In a statement issued by the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo said that Ohanaeze was outraged by the vituperative and inciting outrage of the leader of IPOB on the #ENDSARS activities in Lagos and disassociated the body and Ndigbo completely from them.

“The attention of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex socio-cultural and Political body of Ndigbo Worldwide has been drawn to a press statement issued by a Pan Yoruba Group, the Apapo O’Odua Koya ( AOKOYA) on the on-going youth uprising in Nigeria particularly in Lagos as it relates to Ndigbo youths.

We find the statement disheartening not necessarily because of the untruth in its sentiment but that it’s obviously being engineered and targeted at the age-long good relationship between the Igbo and the Yoruba.

Ohanaeze strongly believes that the press statement is craftily drafted showing a skilful use of underhand tactics to achieve a set goal which in this case is to set Yoruba against Ndigbo.

We are ready to vehemently resist this in our time knowing the historical affinity of these two great ethnic groups dating back to the days of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe through to the famous handshake across the Niger propagated by our iconic leader Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu- Ojukwu.

This spontaneous relationship built by our forefathers over the years has been strengthened in the last three years by the political emancipation movement, being propelled by the Southern And Middle Belt leadership Forum ( SMBLF) made up of four ethnopolitical bodies of Ndigbo, in the South East, Afenifere in the South West, PANDEF in the South-South and the Middle Belt Forum in North Central Nigeria.

Ohanaeze will therefore wish to urge the Yoruba and indeed the rest of Nigeria to disregard any outburst from anybody as coming from Ndigbo that is not as succinctly captured in the terms of agreement of the ethnic nationalities.

It’s therefore against this backdrop that Ohanaeze Ndigbo wishes to vehemently deny the allegation of Igbo youth involvement in Lagos #Endsars protest as part of a grand design to destroy Yoruba economy.

For the obvious reason of having most of their businesses scattered all over the country particularly in Lagos, knocks out the thinking of an Igbo setting to destroy another person’s economy. Only a fool living in a glass house uses stone to settle scores.

Already, as it had always been during every crisis in Nigeria, Igbo businesses are a target as happened last Tuesday in Abuja when car depots, belonging to Igbos were set ablaze by hoodlums.

We, therefore, wish to urge the Yoruba ethnic group to disregard the position being pushed by the AOKOYA because it’s not based on facts and reality on the ground.

This #EndSARS protest is beginning to spiral out of control. Joblessness is the main thing fueling it now. It's only those who don't have jobs that are still forceful about it. In other words, criminal elements are beginning to hijack it. The law-abiding citizens are beginning to think about their businesses/jobs.

You all heard how some people broke into a correctional facility in Edo State and freed prisoners. Soon, the criminal elements (who would be more than happy to see everywhere up in flames) would start breaking into shops and homes to steal and kill or to rob on the streets, using the lacuna left by police absence. Some ex-SARS operatives (who must be lacking money now that they're disbanded) will regroup and begin to rob. THEN, THE GOVERNMENT WILL SEE REASONS TO USE FORCE ON THE PROTESTERS AND WILL BE JUSTIFIED BY THE WORLD. This way, the youths would have lost all the gains of the protest.

WHAT TO DO?
I suggest that YOU back out of the protest for now. The Nigerian youths have made their presence felt and their voices heard. A wise performer leaves the stage when the ovation is high. Let's not allow bad eggs to spoil our achievements so that we can successfully build on this in subsequent months and years. Let's not give the Devil (that is, FG) a foothold against us (cf. Eph. 4:27).

Two things to expect to cone out of this EndSars movement

1. Buhari is removed by a military coup citing insecurity and loss of confidence in the govt in handling it. There will be a purge and a return to draconian military rule to check a counter coup.

2. Buhari isn't overthrown because he puts his foot down and orders his brute, Buruntai to quash the protests. Marshall law is imposed, curfews are rolled out, the Constitution is suspended making the NASS invalid and from there Buhari transforms himself to the Supreme dictator he has always wanted to be. With this , his NWO masters can be assured of their Agenda 21.

These protests are not organic and has all the hallmarks of a CIA color revolution.

I'm an Igbo man, but right now the focus for me has changed. It's no longer about Igbo presidency. It's about the right changes happening to this entity called Nigeria.
We can no longer continue recycling the same crop of people who has left us in this mess.

It's quite clear that this ongoing End SARS protest has led many into fighting for an end to Nigeria. The Western geopolitical zone wants Oduduwa republic while the Easterners want Biafra, it's quite clear now, that the Southerners are also agitating for Niger Delta Republic.

I'm a full blooded Igbo man, and I want my igbo brothers to realize we have to fight for restructuring rather than Biafra. It's quite obvious how it takes a long time before some important projects within the Eastern region are been approved by the executive body, if we restructure Nigeria, our Governors would be responsible for the full growth and development of our states without much interference from the executive body.

Do you realize that innoson's vehicles are being patronized by both the Northerners and westerners? Do you also realize that Slot is owned by an Igbo brother? If we fought for Biafra's independence, do you actually think these prominent brands would exist peacefully in Nigeria, I don't think so.

You as an Igbo man can start up a brand, if you are creative enough you'd probably sell to over 20million Nigerians and not get discriminated as a foreigner. Look closely at these Chinese brands that sells to Nigerians, do you know how many Nigerians use Tecno phones. What if you as a Nigerian were to invest into Technology, and you could get over 40 million Nigerians to patronize your brand, how beneficial would that be? Don't say you could do that too as a Biafran, there would be a whole lot of discrimination.

The Chinese keeps lending our politicans massive funds, do you know why? Nigeria is actually their biggest market. If Nigeria decides to shut down goods being imported from China, there would be a reduction in their country's financial capacity. They borrow Nigerians enough funds so they could hold us down.

If we restructure Nigeria, we would be able to approve valuable projects within the Eastern regions with ease and still sell to a good number of Nigerians, without facing any further dictatorship from the northern President. We do not have to beg them to approve valuable projects in the Eastern regions.

I've heard of notions like, "we can never be one". Do you think African Americans connect well with the Whites in America perfectly? In a country with cultural and racial differences, there would obviously be different opinions, that's exactly why we need to restructure the country.

And lastly Biafra would become a nation with just 5 states, because it's already obvious that the Southerners are agitating for Niger Delta Republic, if you doubt me, go on Facebook and check for yourself. What exactly could we use 5 states for? Be wise.

China has over a trillion population, USA has over 300 million population, while Nigeria has over 200 million population. The Chinese population helps them sell their brands better. So many apps like Facebook, Twitter and many more are been banned in China, they sell themselves because of their population.

Mark tried to create a Chinese version of Facebook so he could sell to China but the Chinese government refused. If only Mark sells to China he'd be extremely rich.

Population gives you power. Nairaland is the biggest forum in Africa because of our population, Linda ikeji's blog makes massive funds because of our population. Our entertainment industry is still the biggest in Africa because we sell ourselves without the aid of other Africans. We need our population.
