Yes, you pay the NHS/Visa fees with official rate. But you have to fund it with black market rate

Hi, NHS and Visa fees use the official rate from CBN. I will suggest you open a domiciliary dollar account and fund it. You can easily pay those fees using this means.

During self-service, i mistakenly mixed up the categories for the document uploads. For example, I uploaded my passport Data page under Others instead of Travel and residency Evidence.

My question is - does this mix-up have an implication for the visa application? I did priority. Will my application be delayed?

You are required to submit your passport after collection. This is to enable them activate it. Only for Lagos, Abuja and PH

Captured since March..... Checked my name on the list of uncollected passport and it's there, I'm presently at Ikoyi for my passport.... Nah God go help me today.... I didn't even go get a text

I finally collected my families passport. Captured since March. Had to pay an officer to check the status of my application and alas, they told me it is ready for collection. The officer even helped me activate after collection.

I went to Servicom, It is due to irregularity in age. NIN office said it costs N20k☹

Most times, its the error emanates from the NIN officials. When through same as my middle name was incorrect.

I would advise us to man-mark the officials when doing the correction. They are Human. Its the Gov that's charging heaven and earth.

There's no official statement regarding this but it's based on information I gathered from following discussions on here and on their Twitter page. I observed two people whose NIN didn't drop had "No record found" in the description part of their portal. I'm however not sure what "vetted" "approved" and "success" mean.

Please did you receive any text or saw your portal show any information to the effect that your passport is ready for collection? I captured (DIY) at their Ilorin office and my portal reads "Success" whatever that means. I'm currently out of the state but was thinking of traveling down. But then again I don't want to waste transportation to and fro. I have engaged their Twitter handle but my tweets like those of others in a similar situation keeps getting ignored.

I dont even understand this portal thing. My portal only shows payment confirmation.

Can someone please walk me through how to verify passport status on the portal?

Does anyone have any idea on the new policy the federal government implemented about the window period now being 6 weeks?

I was at their Ikoyi Office on Friday. They gave me a brown file to process my passport application. However, i noticed a lot of people with white files. I then asked one of the officers the reason why? He said the people that go through officers are the ones with white files, while people that process their application are given brown file. This is to differentiate and allow them to know who to focus on.

To make matters interesting, after capturing, they collect files and tell people with brown files to submit theirs at Servicom.

With all those same officers still working there, the 6 weeks passport project is more of an illusion.

NIMC is another case. My wife registered for NIMC in 2013 and got card in 2019. The attendant collected her slip before giving her the card. Now that she is married, she wants to do a change of name. They told her to bring the same slip they collected. It now seems that the slip supercedes the card. The process seems simple on NIMC's website, however, the reality is worst. At Alausa, you have to queue at the gate (with a thousand other people) and they would collect your name to comeback in 3 months. A center Sometimes, it seems like the country want to deliberately force us to stay.

This alone is frustrating me. Any help here?

The name in NIMC database has to match what's on the passport application. Had that same issue during my renewal. Mine was short name at NIMC vs Long name on passport. So my renewal failed due to NIN verification. Had to make a modification to the NIMC one so that it matches passport. That took another few weeks. However, as soon as the change went through, verification passed, and I received my passport.

My wife's NIN Verification Failed. I think its due to her maiden name (which i correctly filled in the application form). I hope they won't ask me to regularize same at NIMC office. This is her first application.

Question is, can i stand as a guarantor for my wife? (i have a valid drivers licence and my Intl passport has expired).
