helinues: Can't Apc zoned the senate president to either SS/SE? Thank you for this comment. I don't know why politics in Nigeria is so full of biased and narrow-minded people. Because the SE/SS didn't support them doesn't mean they don't have better qualified people. Most appointments under this our present dispensation are not merited, they're instead based on party affiliations. We'll get there one day where we'll have experts heading the various ministries in this country, but until then we can only pray. |

I don't expect anything because they don't have a blueprint in the first place, no major idea to move the country forward. At least Yaradua gave us a vision 2020 which any man who claims to have integrity will be humble enough to adopt. |

jegz50: Good Day House,
I have followed this page from 1st post, to have an in-depth info about schools and funding opportunities.
I humbly present my profile for school suggestions and any tip to secure funding for fall '19. I have actually completed applications to PhD Chemistry in the schools mentioned below. Hoping to apply to any more recommended schools on here.
*My little advice to anyone preparing for the Gre and Toefl is to ensure you start well ahead of admission deadlines.. Take the exams early enough so you can have enough time to prepare all application materials.
Undergrad: 3.45/4 (Unofficial WES evaluation)- Industrial Chemistry GRE: 312 (VERY terrible exam experience) TOEFL: 103 Publications: 1 (Currently under review with two journals) Research Experience : About 2 years working in the Oil and Gas Conferences: A handful Schools applied: VCU, FSU, MSU, LSU, Univ of Utah, Tulane Univ and University of Alabama.
Contacts have been made with some POIs in about five of these schools...Mostly positive and was asked to apply.
What is your take house ....CC @Scholastica16, @Time2Smile, @kayceerilyn, @Sheeda995, @Ndawe, @Temmitats Also studied Industrial Chemistry |

abes: Honestly I don't understand these PDP people; They complain about Electoral law that was passed and signed by them. They complain about Amina Zakari that was appointed to INEC during their regime. Now they are complaining about a contract they awarded during their time in 2011. You're obviously so ignorant to the truth. My problem with supposed party fans. You never see the truth in anything against your party. It's a pity. |

iamlucky: On Friday night, i became restless when one of my friends got his third acceptance with full funding in Chemistry while none of my applications have made a decision. I was like, "is it that they are not seeing my application?" I just turned off my data and slept off. So i woke up yesterday morning and turned on my data only to receive two emails from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute that i have been admitted for their PhD in Chemical Engineering with full mouth watery funding. Am super excited about the offer! But i am still waiting for Ga Tech and Minnesota so i will just wait. Fall2019, we're going somewhere. CONGRATS!!! |

Kassidy4luv: GRE prepclass Question 1)
On a certain project the only grades awarded were 80 and 100. If 10 students completed the project and the average of their grades was 94, how many earned 100? A) 2 B) 3 C) 5 D)7 E) 8 LOL just going through all the messages here. Another way of solving this without setting up algebraic equations is to first try equal numbers for both 80 and 100 scorers, that's 5 each. Average would be 90 that implies, number of 100 scorers should be greater than 5 thus A, B, and C are out. Try 7 so it means 700 plus 240 which is 940/10 that's 94 which is correct. |

Please this argument about schooling and not schooling making you rich or not is baseless. Schooling alone might not make you rich but might help make you rich if applied correctly. Pls sighting examples of yahoo Boys and all does a lot of injustice to the next generation. So everyone has to stop schooling to become rich? Your premise is very flawed. |
