Deltamani: Arsenal don’t need a top9 at all, there are rumors that Swedish Forward Lina Hurtig is even leaving cause of game time.
She isn’t replacing Viv though, Arsenal already got 3 players at no.9 Stina, Russo, Hurtig. Even thuo Viv have decided to play more from the No.10 position in recent time she isn’t that kind of player but as a No.9 or a false 9.
Mariona is a player who thrives on the flanks either on the Left or Right and also good at drifting into the Midfield.. She can play false 9 very well too but her main position is the Left Flank for both Barca and Spain.... Well...that's a win win for Arsenal |

Like CAF, like NFF.
Let's assume Ivory coast crashed out in the semifinals, does that mean they wouldn't qualify for AFCON since only the two finalists are picked? |

Thomas Partey’s preference is to stay at Arsenal this summer, despite transfer speculation linking him with a move away.
Unlike several other key players in the Arsenal squad, there have been no talks about a contract extension with Partey over the past 12 months and there is a belief that the club will look to move him on this summer.

Overview of the 10 games Arsenal dropped points in the league.
THREAD:
1. ARSENAL 2-2 FULHAM
Early mistake from Saka leading to Fulham goal. We come back 2-1, but Fulham with ten men equalise in 87th minute. (International break - Partey injured)
2 . ARSENAL 2-2 TOTTENHAM
Arsenal take the lead with Romero's own goal and Son equalises before HT. Rice injured & off in half time. We take the lead in the 54th minute but with Jorginho's mistake immediately after Spurs equalise.
3. CHELSEA 2-2 ARSENAL
Chelsea went up 2-0 with Palmer penalty of Saliba handball and Mudryk's fluke goal. Arsenal comeback with Rice's long range shot & Trossard's equaliser in the 84th minute. (Gabriel Jesus injured after the CL game)
4. NEWCASTLE 1-0 ARSENAL
Poor game for Eddie & Saka with a lot of physicality when just Havertz stood up equally. Bruno Guimares escaped the Red card, ball out of play and VAR gave a shocking decision in favour of Newcastle for the goal.
5. ASTON VILLA 1-0 ARSENAL
McGinn scored an early goal in the 7th minute. Poor game for attackers Jesus & Martinelli. In the end Havertz equaliser is ruled out due to handball.
6. LIVERPOOL 1-1 ARSENAL
Gabriel scored in the 4th minute and Salah equalised in the 29th minute. After that it was good defending by Arsenal that kept them in the game with Saliba with a POTM display. It was a start of our poor run with attackers not scoring.
7 . ARSENAL 0-2 WEST HAM
The attackers were not firing for Arsenal, it didn't look like a goal coming from anywhere. West Ham scored a goal early and defended well and in the end Mavropanos scored the second for them.
8. FULHAM 2-1 ARSENAL
Arsenal in a difficult period for Arsenal managed to score early through Saka in the 5th min. After that it was probably our worst game not able to complete any passes. Fulham came back with 2 goals & took 5 points off us. That was last time Eddie started.
9. MANCHESTER CITY 0-0 ARSENAL
Huge game in the context of the season for both teams can't afford to lose. Arsenal had surprising tactics but it worked well in the end one point was better than City getting 3. Saliba with another POTM display.
10. ARSENAL 0-2 ASTON VILLA
Probably the turning point in the title challenge where we gave away the lead to City. This game was in the middle of our CL fixtures against Bayern. The experiment with Havertz back in midfield & MAYBE not starting Partey cost us. |

germaphobe: Come to think of it, Partey have been confirmed to leave, a new midfielder confirmed to be coming in his place. A new striker hunt ongoing, so where will Havertz play next season?. Back to midfield or drag top 9 with the new striker? And it will be even hard if Jesus doesn't leave.
Meanwhile in another non arsenal news, Chelsea don confirm Leicester coach wey gain dem promotion as new coach. And what in the name of football made Bayern go for Kompany who just relegated Burnley with only 5 League wins? Havertz will fight for spot with the incoming striker. Gabi and Martinelli will likely play on the wing. Yea... Enzo Maresca. Chelsea are serious about competing with Arteta and Pep. He won the PL2 before moving to Leceister. Kompany to Bayern? Be like the Kane's curse may be real afterall. |

Spy360: Me: A false 9 is an AM playing in an advanced position as a striker but he is not. That's where the false comes from. Eg Havertz, Fabregas (at Barca)
Jodera: False 9 is a striker that drops deep. Eg Kane, And I told you false 9 is just a position, a skillsets or even tactic on the field and can be played by either a striker or a midfielder. It has nothing to do with the player himself. Jesus can play as a false 9 as well as a Striker same thing with Havertz. Kane is another example too. It all depends on how the team is set up. Havertz can play false 9 for us but can never play false 9 for Liverpool (with Mane and Salah). That's because he will enroach the space that should be occupied by Mane and Salah. |

Spy360: This is the formation Man United played
Rashford......... Bruno........ Garnacho ...... Mainoo............. McTominay....... ...................... Amrabat......................... Dalot..... Martinez...... Varane .. AWB
Without the ball Bruno is most advanced, with the ball he drops deep while Rashford and Garnacho stretch the defense. If you notice, Stones and Akanji were always dragged into the midfield chasing Bruno, leaving Rashford and Garnacho 1v1 against Walker and Gvardiol respectively I think you should go through EBL'S thread on Twitter. You will see the tactical changes and positioning there. |
