African football has depreciated over the years.
Yea.
The showboating and dribblings we are known for are gradually going into extinct. Everything is depreciating both on and off the field. We can barely fill the stadium now. It is just so sad.

African teams are poorly coached mehn. No tactics...just rely on individual brilliance and luck.

1. The EQG team had a game plan to seat back, soak the pressure and hit Nigeria on the counter

And there defense was cagged so Nigeria can't penetrate.

2. In such a game, a direct play will never work as they will always over power you or frustrate you.

But Nigeria was playing a direct ball making Osimhen the sole focus of our play. Every one was trying to pass to him. Of course the EQG will ensure they're all on him and stop his flow

3. What the coach should have done is to split thier defense by using more of the wings to drew them out.
And Moses Simon and Chukweze would have done that well.
But he kept Chukweze on the bench and Moses Simon was moved to the right-wing role instead of his more familiar left-wing position, this disrupted the team's attacking dynamics.

And also use more strike option with at least two strikers. Would have been ok

4. He left it too late before bringing in wingers Chukweze..
And the striker at barely 3 minutes to go

Jose Peseiro is still a learner
So what is the difference between Moses Simon and Chukwueze? Nothing!
The little time Chuks was on yesterday, he did nothing.

Arsenal no dey like drag EPL player with fellow top EPL teams; the only player we dragged with others and won in recent times is Declan Rice and we had to break the bank to sign him.

I doubt Arsenal will be willing to match the asking price for a player like Olise with other top EPL teams interested. Me I prefer we go to South Amercia continent and bring a quality attacker from either Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina or Colombia
Even the Rice deal sef, the competition was not stiff. Like we are the only serious buyer.

So some people think we can beat CIV at home and then by miracle defeat Guinea Bissau who best us in our own home previously?

When I call you people deluded, sometimes I want to feel guilty but then I read another unrealistic take and the guilt disappears

Y'all are deluded for Real. As in, your delusion is even bordering on mental illness
Everybody has the right to post that's why countering you is unnecessary. I respect you for what you believe but calling people deluded? isn't that extreme? Like you even stylishly called them mentally sick. SMH

Tomiyasu not in Japan's squad. I thought he is fit already. He is neither on the pitch nor on the bench.
Takehiro Tomiyasu was excluded from the Japan squad which beat Vietnam 4-2 in their opening group stage game of the Asia Cup earlier today.

The good news for Arsenal is that it wasn’t due to injury.

The defender trained individually this week, away from the rest of the Japan squad. He only joined in with full training on Friday for the first time.

Tomiyasu still isn’t 100% match fit after just recovering from a calf injury, and that was the reason he was left out of today’s game.

Japan’s next game in the competition comes against Iraq on Friday with Tomiyasu expected to return to the squad.

Arsenal U18s have won all of their last five matches. They’re also currently unbeaten in eight games in all competitions.

Following this great run, Jack Wilshere’s side now sit six points off top of the league, with a game in hand.

As for the defence, fact is none of our defenders can be vouched for. Like all of them are just there.

U dey mind them? If Arsenal had won the league last season with Saka, Martinelli, Odegaard , Saliba and Nketiah being the keymen ; will anybody come here and be talking about one yeye model ?

Why did Emery that kept senior men like Auba , Lacazette , etc not win the league or even qualify for champions league ?
Thank you. Funny thing is Laca and Auba can't even qualify as models.

Hausa is right

Madrid and Bayern have both system and models that the younger ones have aplenty around them.

The old ones leave and by then the young ones have enough sense to replicate and even leave their mark in the trophy room as well.

This same Arteta killed that and we stood by him aspa 'he knows what he is doing'

He's a learner sha. There's a reason dem Laca and Xhaka weren't sold by emery. Another sha
Omo... una like to force arguments o. These models, didn't they start from somewhere? What exactly qualifies Xhaka and Laca as models? Let's assume we didn't have injury issue last season and we went on to win the league, would you have brought up this models issue? So you want us to get stuck with underpar players because they're 'models'? Ok.

If Fabregas a dribbler? Off course not. He is more like a passer but he is also good in interpreting spaces when not with the ball. Go and watch Arsenal Vs Barcelona champions league when we beat them 2-1 at Emirates
1. Do you even understand the meaning of interpreting space?

2. Are you really basing your space controller talk on a single match he played donkey years ago?

3. How does being a good dribbler correlate with space controller or whatever you're saying?

The problem with aina is him been good offensively, defensively he some times loose concentration. But he is good with passes
True... Why I mentioned him was that being right-footed, he would be able to contain Pepe and stop him from cutting inside.

I'll really love to see how their wingers fare vs our defenders. They are fast in passing too. We are slower, esp in changing wings of play.
They will have upper hands if we give them space. Just double up on them... o pari

While our striker/attackers are underwhelming this season, I still think an effective Lam would have made our attack more effective than how it's originally is.

Notice how everyone is drifting towards Right(Rice, Saka, Odegaard) and leaving the left? Opponents know that is our strongest point of and even at that we still try to create chances.

But the left is just left for only Martinelli to figure his way out. Zinny will invert in middle and leave him. Havertz will do "space controller/ghosting". and leave him. And you wonder why our LHS is dead. No be say Martinelli na one kind Messi sef.

An effective Lam would have made our two legs to stand up instead of only one leg which we're presently standing on (RHS)
The main purpose of drifting right is to create overload and quickly switch to the other wing. It has nothing to do with weakness.

Havertz may be playing rubbish but you can't blame him for Martinelli's poor performances. Two or three matches this season when Havertz had to come in for injured Ode, Martinelli didn't even turn up. And saka was saka. The last time Trossard played LAM, how was Martinelli's performance? Martinelli has the capability to turn up whether Havertz play or not. We saw that in the UCL.

I watched Fabregas on his debut, I watched him in the CL game against Juventus Vs Vieira and I watched him in the CL finals against Barcelona. What we all said then was that he is a one touch midfield controller. He is a great passer no doubt but he could read and control spaces. Please before you reply go and watch these matches I mentioned.
Those players you mentioned, you classified them as space controller. Now, you're saying Fabregas is midfield controller. Isn't that two different things? You still need to come and explain both terms to me.

That side, Fabregas doesn't and never deal with spaces. He is a proper midfielder. Like, man will receive the ball and dictate tempo. He is not the type to be making off the ball runs.

If one of your midfielders who is meant to help with control and flow was not passing 22 times per game, things would not be stagnant.
Nothing would have changed even without Havertz on the field. We were scoring goals last season with Xhaka in the team because the system was still new. Saka and Martinelli have been underpar recently. Ode will rather tek than play proper football. Jesus doesn't stay inside the box. Havertz is one issue out of many bro.
