komekn: Your question destroys your intended proposition.
Nwakali is at the bottomless pit in Portuguese league Folorunsho is in Verona at the bottom of seria A Mathew plays for Zurich in the Swiss league rated 12th in Europe. Which is lower than the Scottish league. Alhassan plays in the Belgium super league.
None of these players are exceptional infact Nwakali is very poor quality and earns less than €2000 a week .
There is an intrinsic link between player value and quality. This cannot be denied not always conclusive but definitely indicative at least.
There are no world class players in my opinion in Southampton but there are several high quality players and in the team. The players you mentioned are not exceptional but low quality.
Nwakali who at his peak could not get into Arsenal youth team. Anytime I asked you this question, you always ran away with your tails between your legs. I repeat, how does what a player earns determine his ability? Havertz is Arsenal's highest earner but is he their best player? Infact, he won't start if there are no injury issues. |

I know beating teams with 8, 9 or 10 goals might have a side effect psychologically but Arteta should think of the positive effects too. That was a rubbish second half. I was expecting us to go for more goals. |

E be like White go tey for bench o. Tomiyasu just dey throw pass like prime Pirlo.
How I wish Dubbery is on the bench. Now would be the right time to give him some minutes.
If I'm to sub a player right now, it will be Rice for Elneny...then maybe Saliba for White. |

charlesemeka85: Pitso Mosimane in love with our Super Eagles? Should the NFF get him?
Pitso Mosimane;
“To be honest, I would like to coach in the World Cup. I do not choose what comes, I would like to go to the World Cup. South Africa wants to qualify, Nigeria wants to qualify.
"If you have Chukuweze and the boy (Osimhen) playing for Napoli as your striker, I mean really. That Nigerian team is unbelievable. I saw the draw against Lesotho and Zimbabwe. Okay, its football, it happens. But how can politics between the government and the federation derail the team?
"Of course, I want South Africa to win because I am South African. But in reality, I think Nigeria has the team (Players). I really would like to go to the World Cup, but it must be a good team that can compete."

| Mikel Arteta on Fabio Vieira’s fitness:
“We’ve got a problem with him. He’s been having some discomfort and we tried to have alternative treatment with him.
“He wasn’t improving so we’ve sent him to see a specialist and that was to get an operation done in his groin, and we did that yesterday [Monday].
“We’re expecting him to be out for weeks now. We don’t expect him to do that [be back this side of the break], so let’s see how he evolves.
“Obviously, the operation was done yesterday, so we’re going to have to wait and see, but we will take it as it comes.” [@arsenal] #afc #arsenalfanaticsnews

A chart showed creativity was less when Trossard wasn't in the lineup compared to when he was in the lineup. That says a lot about us this season. Another person that spikes creativity is going to Afcon soon. He literally brings the Left wing to full threat when he is in the lineup compared to when he isn't around.
Whatever the style is, we may need to get an actual AM too. Odegaard is a major culprit here. We just need him to add more creativity to his goals. He need to stop playing for Saka and start playing his own game. This will even reduce the marking on Saka. The other end is not fixed yet. Vieira is creative but not capable of influencing game on his own yet. Havertz may play a lot of roles but creativity is not really one of them. Trossard is actually better in the box than outside. Maybe when Timber comes back, Zinchenko can move there. |

If na to dey allow them press us and we use counter, I'm in. The elements of surprise goals is reducing. Hopefully we get it back up. He should be a good goalscorer too. |

BlueRayDick: I have watched Arteta for 3 years now and I can say the normal proper 9 is not the kinda striker her prefers to play. Just like Guardiola whom he trained under; he prefers strikers who are industrious, track back to midfield and can play with the ball at their feet. Obviously that was why he signed Jesus from City and that was why he promoted Nketiah instead of signing a proper 9 when he had the chance.
But then, they said change is the only that thing that is constant in life; I would like for Arteta to surprise us and go for a proper striker sha. Even Pep knew it is not more working and went ahead to buy Haaland. I think Arteta will sign his own soon. Everything points to Toney this January. |

What's the difference between vlahovic and Nketiah? Abeg, if we want buy striker, we should buy a reliable one. |

daveP: The Jesus situation is becoming a very big problem. If we want to win majors this season, we will need our own pointman banging in goals as a proper 9 should do. Yes, we got 88 last season. But we need to consolidate on that as everyday can't be Christmas. We can't win majors with a false 9, an off and on 9, injured 9, blank 9. We need a 9 with a Kane and Cavani mentality. If possible, one that will distract players from marking Saka and Nelli.
I personally want a 9 that will turn those 2 on the wings to crossers of the ball, racking up assists as a result. My pov from last season is what Saka is just voicing out now.
We can't continue like this. Especially if we have the UCL in sight with seriousness. Jesus can even deputize Nelli on that wing since most of the games he's started, he ends up being dangerous from there instead from inside the box.
We need a proper 9.
False 9 False 8 None can get us to compete with the UCL big boiz. Nit especially when two of our major goal contributors are on some drought levels due to serious man marking or daftness in decision. A 9 will boost this team's superiority in ways we haven't seen in a while. Let's get one now!!! Nice point. I agree with you. We need that tall and powerful striker that knows how to score goals. From reports, it seems the club is working on Toney. |

“I said, ‘Do you know something, I feel like we robbed you, I feel like we should give you an extra £20m’.

Fkforyou: IMO and from my stand point of view.
Arteta was trying to push Ramsdale to be better, however he didn’t anticipate Ramsdale reaction to the decision.
His intention was good but the execution was poor.
So he did get it wrong. It will take until end of the season when Raya leaves for him to rectify his error. But until then, Ramsdale also need to buckle up and fight for his place.
What Arteta needs to do is bring back some stability to our goal keeping position and that’s solely on Arteta.
Arteta has 70% of the blame while Ramsdale has 30%. So yes, Arteta is at Fault here.
Come to think of it, why not work on your Goal keeper directly in a gradual manner if you want some improvements to his game? Take Gabriel for example, Baba was known to be rash and aggressive but has improved his game immensely this season so what makes him think that Ramsdale can’t improve too, is it not by game time a player can improve? Why is Ramsdale not given the same amount of chances he gave to Havertz?
I might not be a Stan of Arteta like I used to, in the previous seasons but I have to say this, he is biased in his player management, simple. If Arteta likes you, you are good in his eyes no matter what everyone else thinks, and if he isn’t sold on you, then he doesn’t care how hard you try, you won’t make his team. I guess that’s his own flaw, even though sometimes it turns out good for us, take for example the turn around of Xhaka.
P.S na God save us for Saliba issue, if not na PSG or Madrid that guy go Dey play for by now. Raya is staying. His deal was supposed to be permanent but due to FFP, both clubs had to settle for loan. I think the total transfer fee is around 25m. |

Arteta no really try for this matter, moreover Teta is someone I like and I support him but on this matter, he no try. Next time, don't just jump into argument without understanding the context. Receipts plenty on this thread, you can go search for them. I've never support any of those two against each other due to how error prone they are. A nice performance from Ramsdale yesterday was all I wanted because truly he contributed immensely to where we are now. But what did he do, he almost gifted them a goal yesterday. Now, iamoyindamola said Arteta is to blame and I disagreed. A goalkeeper who is fighting to get his spot back shouldn't be making mistakes like that of yesterday. What is so hard to understand here? |
