Spy360: Playing 4-4-2 is possible and we have the available materials though at a cost.
The formation will require a sitting DM not the CM that will roam. It will also require a playmaker who can pick up the ball from deep and tight positions and still create chances. The wingers should not be inverted as they will be part of the midfield and not attack unlike the 4-3-3.
................ Jesus..... Nketiah............... Saka............. Odegaard........ Martinelli ......................... Partey.......................... Zinchen.. Gabriel.... Saliba...... Tomi ...................... Ramsdale......................
This is an excellent attacking formation if the players (especially the wingers) can adapt to. It will allow for stronger pressing and massive defending without the ball, while totally dominating the opponent with the ball.
During attacking phase, Partey can drop into the CD while the FBs push higher to create an overload in the final third. During defending phase, Odegaard drops deeper to create a new line of defense, a double pivot with Partey.
Jesus can also drop deeper into midfield to hold the ball during transitions. Something he is already good at. He or Nketiah can take on the two opposite CBs and try to split them, drag them away from each other or the FBs.
The key to this formation will be Odegaard and Partey, can they be mobile enough to cover more grounds? Can the two of them be able to dominate a midfield in which they will be outnumbered? Fine lineup but I don't think Odegaard can play that role. When I was thinking on who best can partner Partey in that role, my mind went to Diaby. Abou Diaby !!! Injury is a b*tch. Sambi is another person who I think can also function in the role but he is too lightweight. Xhaka might be a perfect match though. |

Kog45: Arsenal signing Iwobi back,i doubt, better for him to move to another top club.Yes Osimehn likely to move after this season.... Chuckwueze deserved better club and possibly Liverpool but I don't see him as direct replacement for Sallah. Yea, it is unlikely for Iwobi to be back at Arsenal. Chelsea is another team I think should go for him... No be all these catamaran man and Odumeje Dem pack for Midfield |

Jodera: Lol, unfortunately custom is custom. Though it hasn't been confirmed yet but all news is pointing to that direction. If there is no match this weekend, EPL will probably resume after international break because there won't be match next week too. Also, will they stop the English teams from playing UCL during the midweek? |

jpmoriarti: He granted an interview to Sports the other day, Dembele. One thing that stood out for me was where he said that at this stage, talent is not enough to succeed. He said he didn't know this before but now he does after everything he went through.
You could see he is now more focused and committed. Of course, injuries are part of the game but he now takes care of himself way more and the results are there for all to see. Add to the fact that there is now a sweetheart who will help with massage after a very long day on the pitch. |

BascoVanVeli: Even Phil Foden had Halaand open and scored his goal This is a different scenario Oga Basco. Foden had the ball on his strong foot and the keeper was far off. Moreso, he was kinda unmarked. However, I got your point. If Osimehn keep doing the 'good guy' and his goal tally doesn't seem impressive at the end, the fans will come for him. |

emmaodet: That Haaland is more or less a box 18/tap-in player. Mpabe is far more deadly than him likewise lewy. If you look at the type of goals mpabe and lewy scores even outside box 18, you will know these are dangerous 9s. Haaland's positioning though.... Bro just give it to Haaland...he scored so much goal because he is always at the right place at the right time. |
