Samueltemi337: Uzoho will be in Goal
Akpoguma will start ahead of awaziem
Ndidi will start ahead of onyedika
Chukwueze will start ahead of lookman
Ihanaecho will start ahead of dessers Yea, I know. Just that I have always hold the notion that friendly should be used to scout for options the fill the holes in the squad and backups. Up till now, we can't pinpoint a single player considered as Ndidi's backup. We see how that partially cost us in the Ghana double header. Reason why I put Onyedika. If Onyedika put up a good showing, then we already have our guy ! |

oliverano: Nico is built like a tank. I love that guy. I pray he's given the opportunity to play that DM.
Pedri Nico Gavi is the dream but I don't know, I just don't know whether Nico will make it. Let's see what Xavi does with him next season. I hope Nico makes it too though he may not be able to fully replicate Busquet. As slow and lean as Busquet is, the guy is too mentally equipped for the DM role. |

FirstbornWds: There's no way Gabriel Jesus won't make the squad ahead of Rodrygo. That's not gonna sell anywhere.
A confirmed starter with impressive numbers over someone that doesn't even play consistently on a particular wing. That's balderdash!!! E shock me bro. Report was that Edu used his connection to persuade Tite to excuse the Gabi's due to Arsenal's October's fixtures since Brazil's matches are friendly. Jesus and Magalhes will make the squad. I'm not sure of Martinelli though |

oliverano: I really love what Xavi is doing here
When he was appointed, I thought he'll play like Pep's Barca considering his exploit and his kind of person.
But he's playing like Enrique's Barca; possession, speed, directness and quick transition from defence to attack. Very similar to what Enrique did With Gavi doing the work of Rakitic on the RM. Pedri doing the work of Iniesta on the LM. With a pure 9 Lewa just like Suarez then.
I'm so happy he's playing this way but Peps Barca remains the best ever! Thank you. Let me add that Enrique being Spain's coach is an added advantage for him as the trio of Busquet,Pedri and Gavi won't find it difficult to adapt because they receive almost same tutoring both in the club and the national team. This is one of the reason why Iniesta, Busquet and Xavi were dominant. Hopefully, Nico will be back to take over from Busquet. |

Rarre: Lol what's this? So he should stop dancing after scoring? Well, I understand you are surprised. But let's look at the motive A lot of players do dance during celebration but Vino's own, I think it's too provoking. Winding up and provoking your opponent and their fans can lead to something else. |

GoddyOra: I am a Madridsta, you are kinda right with your takes but Rodrygo will surely make the Brazil WC cut ahead of Neres, G. Jesus, and Everton (they aren't in the picture ATM. You can check the most recent Brazil call ups).
Rodrygo usurping Raphinha and Antony for the RW in Qatar, this November is already too late as those two have been slogging it out between them for the past year. But in the long run, if Rodrygo keeps playing RW for us, He will eventually nick that spot. Brazil current attack is still Neymar (LW), Richarlison (ST), and Raphinha/Antony (RW)...Vini is even still trying to force himself into that attack but we will see who starts in Qatar.
Antony and Raphinha has to sit up and perform for their club sides consistently if they will keep being Brazil first two choices for that RW spot.
IMO, Rodrygo is a far better talent than Raphinha so starting over him in their National team will only come natural with time. Bro...Tite was in attendance for one of Arsenal's matches this season where he met Edu. Now I don't think I should be explaining who Edu is to you. Connect the dots. A whole Gabriel Jesus won't make Brazil's squad?? Let me not even mentioned Magalhes. Martinelli has a lot of competition so.... |

Kilishihunter: Hope you know Raphinha has been in excellent form for Brazil and is likely to be the first choice RW if injuries don't knock him out of contention? And that was when he was still at Leeds not now he's at barça, There's antony, there's even David neres who has been in form since joining benfica from shaktar, All natural RWs, Highest rodrygo might get in the Brazil squad is as one of the backup LWs to Vini and Everton which is his strongest position,Even the CF spot is booked with Probably Neymar, Richarlison, Jesus and barbosa It's good to support your player but make we dey talk true atimes Martinelli sef dey ground... |

But we will have 3 options for Midfield in January..
Danilo Tielemans Douglas Luiz
I would take the first and the third. |

This list wear cinch belt...
Onyekuru is a surprised inclusion..his slot should have been given to a midfielder though. Even Peter olayinka or Yira Sor woukd have been a better idea.
I'm surprised Aribo missed out and I'm not surprised at the same time.
As for the defence and goalkeeping, may God help us. The only positive there is the return of Akpors. |

Legends....
We have seriously regressed in the goalkeeping department. Okoye is warming the bench in championship and Uzoho, in Cyprus. We should be approaching Arthur by now. With Ramsdale and Pickford in that squad, it'll take a lot of time for him to get called up to England squad.

Why would they postpone today's match sef...why can't we just play it behind closed doors...with that, there won't be crowd and need for police.
And now I might still be in church by 12pm on Sunday which means I'll definitely miss the match. Another boring 2 weeks of international break. |

Jodera: To be honest, as long as it's 4312 with the 1 being the hole(that's linking the midfield with attack), then Odegaard is the perfect personnel presently to carry it out but this time with increased workload and increase creativity.
Moreover, the two wingers flanking him will also be very very defensively aware too, so I don't think Odegaard can't work in that formation except he's not quick enough. Diaby can someone work sha but I'm presently having vague memory of him cos most of his time here na for treatment table Arteta might try it this season...don't be surprised. Jesus and Nketiah kinda have this synergy between them. |

I kinda like the reports flying around about Val being included in the latest but yet to be unveiled squad. With further development,he would be a good deputy for Bassey in the LCB. As for the RCB, I was tipping Awaziem until he ran away to Croatia . Ekong is warming the bench in the championship while Balogun is edging closer to retirement. Ajayi? Of course. Alhasan and Onyedika should be a no brainer. This might looks funny but how about we contact Flo and Arthur? |

Spy360: Unless we are playing Xhaka - Partey as a double pivot without an AM. That will become a counter attacking formation. It will be OK against bigger teams. We can still dictate... depending on the opposition though. Xhaka and Partey doing the distribution while Jesus will have the space to roam. And if any of Partey and Xhaka finds himself upfield, the FB will do the Inverted Midfield thing. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 3:37pm On Sep 15, 2022 |
Jodera: Odegaard is acting as a 10(attacking midfielder) and not necessarily a pivot to Partey In that formation,Ode can't act as a 10 bro. That will expose our Midfield. We will only have just 2 midfielders so Ode doesn't have the skillset. I mentioned Diaby as the perfect partner for Partey in that formation. Compare Diaby and Ode and let's see how Ode meet up. |

Spy360: Odegaard is the best we have for that no10 role and he will have to reinvent himself and also learn to play double foot. Another person is ESR.
Abou Diaby is OK (his type as he is no longer playing) but the rest you mentioned are totally off especially Xhaka. Odegaard can't play such role...he is not physical enough. The day you play him in that role together with Partey, Partey won't last 30 minutes before going off. What of Xhaka and Partey? Martinelli will drift infield while the LB overlaps with Xhaka covering for both. |
