August 7 2000 All I'm after is my Success cos you won't stand for me if I'm poor tomorrow, you won't even give me if I beg you tomorrow neither you might even tag me As those Nairaland beggars... If you know the longterm damage then I'm sure you know it won't affect you.. Sorry if you misunderstand me, the system made them that way even before I was born.... Thanks dear Bro...You are also not looking at the long term damage ....to be honest with you, MRI will not understand all these your stories. Honesty comes first in everything. There are various ways you can be a pro that are more easier than trying to falsify your age. I have a friend who went from one naija club straight to Lithuania second division. My advice is, join any good club around you and start climbing the ladder. If you're good as you said and with a dint of hard work, foreign scout will notice you in no distant time. If you attempt to play by falsifying your age, it will leave a bad taint on your football career. Peace bro |

safarigirl: I already explained all this in consequent posts and why some things are/can be so Hope you know there are some Europeans and Americans that voted for Mendy. What you are saying is from emotional and biased point of view . The only way I'd have agree with you is if this has nothing to do with football. I agree we blacks need to stick together at times but I don't think this is applicable in football. There is high probability that Mendy wouldn't have won if the voting had gone the way you wanted it to Thanks. |

Subzero047: Donnarunma earned that award by every metric if we are arguing by footballing merits he was the best player at Euros and had a stellar season now its up to the discretion of the voters to choose who had a better season this your argument about robbing your brother is emotional blackmail and nepotism and it is not a good way of convincing anybody that Mendy deserved the award, if at the end his performance convinced majority that he had a better year so be it but trying to hold people hostage on their votes is not it Agreed wholeheartedly. I'm sure some Europeans also voted for Mendy. |

safarigirl: Did anybody say anything about blindly voting every African?
This was specifically in relation to Mendy, and there is no criteria that Mendy was not deserving of that award, being African should have also boosted his chances with Africans.
What they did is akin to robbing your brother of something he earned , just so you won't seem biased. It is self-sabotage and it is the same thing we just mentioned about how Africans cannot work together, because they are sellouts
Mendy earned that award by every metric, and his own people still voted against him. the bolded is funny. Are you saying Gigi didn't earn the right to the award too? |

safarigirl: So, Zimbabwe's Captain voted for Alisson over Mendy in that FIFA Best award, no wonder they are chopping bottom of the table at AFCON. No football brain, no brotherly feelings. Just otu players
Other African nations that showed their asses
Salah is more dedicated to club than continent, the eleribu voted Alisson Tunisia's Captain, another idiot that voted Neuer Namibia's Captain too, a whitewashed idiot voted Donnaruma Uganda's Captain, a Mumu and more, voted Donnaruma. Malawi's captain, na Senegal go deal with them today, that one too, voted Donnaruma. Angola's Captain, another otondo, voted for Donnaruma
We suppose gather these useless people, flog them, especially that hating mumu Salah. I understand where you're coming from but no need insulting them. It is their choice or you want them to be bias in their voting? Come to think of it, Mendy won the UCL and UEFA best goalkeeper; Donnaruma too won the Euro so both keepers have the right to claim FIFA best goalkeeper. If voting is based on how you want it to be, like Africa for African ,America for American....football will be less interesting |

I watched the Malawi and Mali team, they've done more on that aspect than us. have the most goal threats from crosses alone than any other team. Abou is experienced to really make the most out of positioning. I have nothing against Simon bro.. I'm just saying his crosses have not been up to par recently. |

Spy360: How are we playing him out of position? What's the difference in his roles?
If you played football you will know that good players make other better. If you watch him at rangers, he rarely plays in a double pivot. Either as a 10 or one of the forwards. This explains his recent scoring form. I think he has about 7 goals already this season as a midfielder. In AFCON, he is playing in a double pivot with Ndidi which is why he has not giving us the goal thread he is known for. Just pointing that out. |

kodded: this is where you all get it wrong
Partey is not a DM. He is a box to box CM that has a very good defensive attribute, just like patrick veira. The only reason he is playing as a DM in arsenal is because xhaka is a liability defensively.
Give him a solid DM like ndidi and watch him blossom like veira Even at that, it still won't work, I won't mind to be proved wrong though. Ndidi and Partey as a pivot is a no no...try and watch leceister city's matches. |

Spy360: Aribo is shining for three reasons 1. He's playing alongside Ndidi the beast 2. The 4-2-4 set suits him really well as he is the centre piece. He sees a lot of the ball and is responsible for link up. With just two in midfield, he has all the space to feel good. 3. He has excellent close control. Like a tall Jay Jay. I disagree bro ... His playing alongside Ndidi is not what is making him shine. He has been bossing it at ranger for some time now. Do you know we are playing him out of position? He is just like Ramsey, an energetic B2B midfielder |

Nadidi and partey in that midfield will cement us as a top 4 team for sure, add it with that vlahovic kid and we are dreaming of the title Ndidi and Partey as a midfield pivot will never work. Ndidi doesn't play well when partnered with another DM. |

Joezinho: Loud it please. It sucks when some peeps here thinks a player that plays primarily as a no 8 for is club is a DM. The fact that he sometimes plays as a DM doesn't make him a pure DM. Some do it to push the Nwakali's agenda.
Just like i asked mostob and he never answered, "Who was Nwakali called to back up" since he said Onyeka is a back up to Ndidi..
Nwakali may start against Guinea Bissau cos we've already qualified, but no right thinking coach anywhere in the world will pick him over Onyeka.. before the AFCON, we already debated on this but the fact that people like you were already against the lad from the onset will make you turn a blind eyes to what he offers. To your question, Onyeka is capable of playing as a DM and as an 8. In the current SE squad, if Ndidi is out, he will be the undisputed DM to start. This is to tell you he is here to deputise for Ndidi and can also slot in as a CM or B2B in case there is need for it. Must there be a need for back up before Nwakali is called up? Rohr listed only 3 pure midfielders in the squad so why was it a crime to call up Nwakali when the opportunity showed up? |

Joezinho: Onyeka is not a DM.. Vataly Janelt is the DM for brentford FC. Frank plays as an 8 in their system.. He's a box-to-box midfielder, capable of linking up play and shifting the tone of the game from defence to attack...
People think he's a DM because of the workrate of brentford midfielders. The holding midfielder Norgaard, Onyeka and Janelt are three highly gifted players.
When the team wins the ball back and finds itself in the opposing box, Janelt occupies one of three functions: supporting his wingback as a pivot or a decoy, both to lure in opponents and drag opponents out of position, as well as receiving the ball and crossing the ball with his first touch. And when he does this, other midfielders tend to cover for him. This doesn't rule out the fact that Onyeka can play as a defensive midfielder. Onyeka was called up to back Ndidi up and that means he is playing as a DM for us. Finito Go read more about Onyeka abeg |

Joezinho: A "creative player" that does nothing for the attack, because he only ever passes sideways and backwards and even when he does push the ball forward, those passes are never ambitious or incisive? Isn't that funny for a creative player like Nwakali?
Even Aribo whose job was to spread passes from the area between the defenders and the more attacking midfielders didn't make back passes like Nwakali...
Abeg make una talk another thing jare. ok |
