safarigirl: The only reason I posted that, is as a follow-up to what Metal said, to tease him and people that think I cannot talk about somebody without being interested in them. I literally just catch cruise on this thread, as if I am gisting with friends
If I was talking this much about Uzoho, will you think I was interested in him?
All the people that have been talking about Nwakali, are they interested in him? Abi there is a rule about which Super Eagles player we can talk about?
In fact, everyday, from today, I will talk about Maduka on this thread. We're talking about Nwakali from football POV not something that has to do with attractiveness, physique, handsomeness or Twitter followers. It's better you take your obsessiveness with Maduka to Twitter(his DM maybe) and stop disturbing our football atmosphere here. Whatever you're doing with his picture in the corner of your room ain't our business here madam We're here for football only please. |

nelszx: Tunisia camp has been hit by massive COVID-19 (hopefully they don't infect our players).
Currently 16 players and only an assistant coach (as the coach, goal keeper coach, physiotherapist - COVID-19 positive) is travelling to Garoua for their R16 encounter.
12 players plus other back room are positive for COVID-19 and would remain in limbe (isolation) and will play no part in the game vs Nigeria.
Players making the trip to Garoua: Ben said/ Jmal / Haddedi / Abdi / Ifa / Talbi / Rekik / Skhiri / Ben Slimane / Aidouni / Hannibal / Rafia / Sliti / Msakni / Jaziri / Khaoui.
Source: @youssefmagra on Twitter this is scary...how possible is it for our players to play with nose mask and gloves? They should use long sleeves and wear turtle neck under their jersey for that match. There is no assurance that none of those travelling doesn't have covid already. |

Spy360: You have made a good point here. Iheanacho actually drops behind the main striker but that is to add more bodies in the midfield typical of our unique 4-2-4 formation. Aribo who is the point of view here plays just ahead of Ndidi. Think of Okocha and Oliseh.
In a double pivot, both CMs alternate forward movements depending on what part of the pitch the ball is. Just like in Arsenal between our two CMs.
The very fact that Ndidi is not a CM nor plays as such is enough to say that Aribo does not play CM. Ndidi sits deeper unless leading the press.
Nevertheless, such tactics are difficult to pinpoint because midfield is midfield once you are inside the pitch. The differences are almost negligible. Well ... You are right. Person fit start as a DM and spend all the duration of the match in the opponent's box. He will tell you it is the coach's instruction. |

safarigirl: Exactly
I did not say it was not bias when you vote someone from your place. If you had read what I asked you to read, you would not have come to ask me this question
I stated that everyone was using their bias to vote, and it would have been nice for the Africans to use the bias for their own, not against their own
You did not read my points, or you did not understand it. Because my entire point is that everybody is biased in one way or the other. You're the one that didn't understand. Their bias is theirs and yours is yours. You have no right to question their vote. They have every right to vote for who they like. Abeg rest |

Spy360: Is Ndidi a CM? No.
Aribo plays ahead of Ndidi when attacking, he only drops deeper when defending, which is normal.
The formation is exactly the same Nigeria has used over the years since 94. We never use two CMs but one AM and one DM. Hope you know there are varieties of 4-4-2? 4-1-3-2(similar to a diamond midfield) allow a lone DM and an AM flanked by two wingers/LM & RM depending on the tactic. This is different from the one we are currently using. Aribo is not playing as an AM but as a CM. If there is any AM in that team, it will most likely be Iheanacho. |

safarigirl: It is bias if you vote someone based on a personal relationship.
That is literally how bias works. He did not vote him because he was anything near the best, he voted him because they have a longstanding relationship. but if you vote for a player based on the fact that both of you are from the same continent, it is not bias? E go better if you take a break from football |

Spy360: He is not playing a double pivot for Nigeria. He plays AM a no10. Ndidi plays DM. A double pivot means two CMs which we don't use.
CM is different from DM and AM. Many fooifans confuse these positions or rather style of play. Nigeria is using 4-4-2 bro. There is no AM in our own 4-4-2. Ndidi and Aribo pivot, flanked by Chuks and Moses. Or am I missing something? |
