Jury's still out on Partey let's give him this season plus Arsenal medical team is nothing to write home about conspiracy the way our players both old nd current are always treated in the same spot.

Arsenal problem is deeply no department is free imagine Martinelli also having same injury at same spot...

Those scouts are receiving haram money cause they are not doing anything spectacular to earn such amount.
Maybe I'm too hasty about Partey.
You're spot on about our medical team. I read it that Martinelli (before his last injury) made a complaint but they told him to rest that it is nothing when a scan or test could have been conducted... imagine

......The loss yesterday was solely on Arteta. Pepe and Saka were combining well on the left wing before he decided to bring in Willian. Auba as a CF na minus.

......I think ATM scammed us big time... make we forget about Partey and find new Midfielder. Dude had been poor lately.

William Saliba has been nominated Player of the Month for OG Nice. He has had a consistent run over the last two-three games. I hope he continues to improve and get a shot at the first team next season with Arsenal.
He is not coming back unless he is forced. His recent interview was so emotional. He claimed he was unhappy the way he was treated at arsenal. I will like to see him here but make we comot mind.

Watching Runnarsson yesterday, I was just laughing. grin grin
Dude should have been anything apart from goalkeeper.

BTW, Xhaka really tried yesterday. He was even pressing their defenders at one point.

We could have won that match yesterday but lack of coordination and Leno 's red card happened.

I agree it is.

because if I break it down... Then we have the true picture.

CB options: We look kinda matched. CIV would throw in Boly and Bailly from the EPL. Nigeria would throw in Akpoguma and the incoming Jordan from the Bundesliga + Semi Ajayi in the EPL. Game on! grin

Other options: They have Diomande, Traore, Deli etc... mostly in Ligue 1 + Belgian league..

Nigeria's other options has: Awaziem from Portugal, Incoming Tosin from Fulham, Ekong of Watford, Balogun of Rangers.

LB options: None of the Ivorian LB/LWB options trump Zaidu. Be it Cornet or Ghislain Konan.

Felix Agu of Bremen is an option when we land him. Calvin of Rangers, Collins and Chima Okoroji are also there.

RB options: They have Aurier and Singo. We got Aina, Ebuehi (one of the best RBs in the Eredivisie) and Ehizibue in the Bundesliga.

So conclusively, I may say we are kinda both matched in defence overall or just slightly stronger depth-wise.
Apt... so apt

Believe me when I say CIV wouldn't even survive our own firepower quick enough to be able to make theirs count. We are just better and that cannot be overlooked.

CIV didn't have an inept Rohr but didn't go as far as Rohr did with Nigeria at the last major tournament. Not saying Rohr is great. Bit he did outdo CIV's so called "competent mind". wink

They don't match us in attack on the overall. We are better. In midfield, we are better.

Central attacking options. NGA >>>> CIV. Their first choice is not even better than Nigeria's Third choice.

Wing options. NGA = CIV.

Midfield. NGA >>>> CIV

Defence. NGA = CIV.

GK (Last line of defence). Their own dey TP Mazembe or so... We have two fine stoppers in Europe playing regularly. He may be experienced but ours are young and talented. But if we talking experience vs experience... Then maybe Akpeyi of Kaizer Chiefs can be brought up. grin
Agreed... the bolded sef is debatable.

We are talking about the CB role.

I am one of the few that kept saying that Balogun is our best CB, and now It is very clear for all to see.
When it comes to the CB role, i can't comfortably say that Balogun is even better than Akpoguma.
Akpoguma might even turn out to be our best CB.

According to Fabrizo...Odegaard had a productive conversation with Arteta and has chosen Arsenal ahead of R. Sociedad. R. Sociedad have accepted Odegaard will not be joining them. It will be a 6 month loan without an option to make it permanent

God bless u!

Most people are looking at the situation of things now and not the situation of things when the club decided to take that decision. We had so many CB's playing trash at that time, Arteta definitely had a plan of offloading them in the long run hence he got a solid long term replacement in Gabriel.

Papasthapopulous has been relieved of his duty at Arsenal, Mustafi is most likely to follow suit. Chambers may likelg leave the team if his injury woes continue. That leaves us with dem Mari, Luiz, Holding, and Gabriel as senior CB options all things being equal.

If we all talk about how Man city have squad depth and wish arsenal had something similar, then we shouldn't blame Arteta for taking that Gabriel decision
Thank you. Just look at man city's options - Dias, Ake, Stone, Laporte. Four solid defenders that will walk straight into our MD squad. We only have Gabriel and some people are calling him a needless signing. The same set of people were bashing Guen but they want us to believe we have decent defenders in Mustafi, Luiz, Papa and Co.
I just weak.

And in that Gaby matters, it was a wise decision from Arteta. We have to understand that some transfers are made with one eye on the future. With Mustafi Holding,Luiz, it was obvious our defence needed a fresh leg. So, faulting Gaby 's transfer because the money could have been used to bought an AM I'd just invalid.

I was aware, and some were even thinking it was me disguising.

For me, its his opinion, you can disagree and let it slide, you took it up as usual till some joined and started calling him Guen's McM and names.

That one post does not mean Guen is his favorite player, he could just be dishing an opinion and may not be aware of prior discussions on the boy here.

You did similar to Mostob, the guy had to dead the matter and took a break on here.

I've read several posts on Instagram,YouTube,Twitter and what have you on how they feel Arteta was too hostile to him,be his bane and praising his performance and growth in Germany...
.
It doesn't not make them a Guen biggest fan, some are just ordinary Arsenal fan( who could even prefer Willock to him)with no special feelings for the boy.

Its a free world like you said, atleast let's all take break from the matter and see what the future holds.
I never took any break bro... I'm following every arguments here. Nobody can bully me here.

Umotong Signs For Lewes
Experienced striker Ini Umotong becomes Simon Parker's latest signing as he strengthens his attacking options.
Jan 18, 2021

Lewes Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of the experienced 26-year-old striker and Nigeria international Ini Umotong.

Umotong joins the Rooks after leaving Swedish side Växjö DFF having joined them in July last year. The striker played 13 games for the side in the Damallsvenskan and scored twice.

Umotong’s professional career started at Portsmouth and in 2015 she helped the side win their seventh consecutive Hampshire County Cup, while also securing the league title. She finished as the top goal scorer for Pompey, finding the net 29 times in 25 appearances across all competitions.

After leaving Portsmouth, the new Rooks striker joined Oxford United. In 2016 she was the top goal scorer in the formerly known FA Women’s Super League 2, scoring 13 goals in 19 games. Then in the 2017 WSL Spring Series, Umotong scored four times in seven games.

Before heading for Sweden, Umotong played for south coast neighbours Brighton & Hove Albion. The striker joined the Seagulls in July 2017 and finished as their top goal scorer netting 10 times in 19 games, as they finished second in the FA WSL 2. Umotong went on to make 25 appearances for Albion in the 2018/19 season across all competitions.

In the 2019/20 season, Umotong helped Brighton reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, scoring the third goal in a 3-0 win over rivals Crystal Palace.

On the international stage, Umotong scored her first goal for the Super Falcons in January 2019. This came against Romania in the Four Nations tournament third place play-off, with Nigeria coming out 4-1 winners.
I was expecting a better move. I don't know more about her new club but when your rivals are playing in Atletico, Barca,, France and Sweden, you just have to move to a better club. Congrats to her though
