Ex-Germany U20 Skipper Akpoguma : Rohr Wants
Me To Play For Nigeria Over Germany
Published: January 09, 2019

Hannover 96 defender Kevin Akpoguma has
refused to change his mind on his decision
not to accept a call-up up from the Nigerian
Federation, saying his priority is to make his
senior debut for his country of birth,
Germany.

Since 2014, Akpoguma has been on the radar
of the Nigeria Football Federation and
national teams coaching staff.
Former Nigeria U23 coach Samson Siasia first
invited him to a training camp in Abuja in
December 2014 ahead of the 2016 Olympic
Games but the central defender snubbed his
invitation.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has
repeatedly expressed his interest in Akpoguma
and the German tactician was unable to
persuade Akpoguma to play for the Super
Eagles at the 2018 World Cup.

Speaking to German sports magazine Kicker,
Akpoguma stated : ''Gernot Rohr is still
interested and would be happy, but I do not
want to close the door to the German national
team.
"Even if Joachim Löw calls me at the age of
27 for a game or two, that would be an honor
for me, because Germany is the country
where I was born."

Akpoguma has collected 64 youth caps for
Germany at U16, U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21
level.
haha...this guy think he is Sergio Ramos . Truth be told ,we are currently in need of CB but I think we can still make do with Awaziem ,AJAYI,Omeruo and Balogun. wetin him dey play sef? Ewu gambia

Once again Vinicius junior is a crappy overrated player ,Brazilian scam

Chukwueze will do better than that young tout in the Madrid team

Mind you I am not overrating chukwueze, because I have always caution people who do that,Vinicius is a crappy player ,can you imagine getting a 17 years old unproven talent for 45 million just because he is Brazilian
martin Odegaard comes to mind

I thought they will go to China first. If they are truly going to China, then they should resume in camp latest Monday. Then they will have enough time to just bring physical fitness level to average and maybe work a few tactics before flying to China. First match is on 17th January, 12 days away.

My gut feeling is that NFF will fumble again.

Celebrities › Rasaq Olayiwola, Reacts To Being Depicted As Herbalist In Nigeria Movies by mostob(op): 12:49pm On Jan 04, 2019
Popular Nollywood actor, Rasaq Olayiwola, who is also known as Ojopagogo,
has been one of the top actors in the movie industry as far as Nollywood is
concerned.

The actor, who is often playing the role of an old man or an herbalist in
movies, while speaking to Saturday Beats reacted to being stereotyped in the
industry.

He stated that he was fed up with producers always casting him as an
herbalist in movies, stating that as an actor, he is meant to explore all
characters available to him. “ When I started acting, I did not start with the
role of an herbalist. Alade Aromire was the first person that cast me as
an herbalist in a movie and since then, people have started using me for
the role of an herbalist. I have complained about it; in fact, last year, I
had to hold a meeting with some stakeholders in our industry to let them
know that they should use me for other movie roles instead of only using
me for the role of an herbalist .

“ They told me that it is due to the demand of the public but I would prefer
to play other roles. Nowadays, if you insist that I should act the role of an
herbalist in your movie, I do it but not with the same zeal I would use to
portray other characters, ” he said.
When asked what his dream role would be, the thespian stated that he would
love to play the role of someone who terrorises people in movies.

“ One of my dream roles is to play the role of someone who terrorises
others in a crime movie. I want to be featured in a crime movie and I want people to know that i am a versatile actor.
“Even if people would not want to cast me for that role, I can write a
script that would depict my desire and I would shoot the movie. The
journey into my acting career has been challenging; I have still not
achieved what I want. I want to leave my footprints on the sands of time
after I am dead and gone; money is not everything",he said
