andrew444: Let me just drop this for the last time
Hazard has never scored 20 goals a season and Chelsea fan boys call him world class and we are not arguing then why should we argue about Mandzukic
Mind you mandzukic plays from the wings also ,so you have no point wanting how him to score 30 goals a season
Now name a super eagles winger who has scored 20 goals a season in Europe top 5 leagues for the past 10 years ? This is where you will disgrace your self once again .
Anyway yakubu ighalo martins came close but they didn't score 20
The last super eagles players that scored much goals a season and it was at the back water league was kalu uche scoring 19 for kasimpasa and onyekuru scoring 23 for eupen
You dey say mandzukic no score 30 like say your players don score common 20
Ordinary chukwueze performance dey make us go crazy including me wey dey talk
Please correct me where I am wrong
Thank you You said mandzukic is world class but he has never scored 20 goals in a season.Hazard you used as an example is a winger. It is true no SE player has score 20goals yet simply because they are not there yet. you just keep Contradicting yourself. You must be a confused fellow. i no get your time again.continue to wallow in your hate against SE players. |

bazooka1: Are you sure you read your own comment? Someone asked do have Nigerian players who can bench the Croatians, you replied Samuel Kalu, Ndidi and Mikel. Why did you bring up Kovacic, Vrjlasko and Loveren ( asking about his Liverpool form) and their clubs respectively, if you didn't mean actually mean “club“? You don't have to run from pillar to post. Just admit you were wrong and move on.
Nawao I brought up their club form when he called them world class. About benching matters, he was referring to their national team. Issokay bro, opinions differs and we are all learners anyway. |

bazooka1: Your statement was very bogus. You just implied that Mikel Obi, Ndidi and Samuel Kalu can walk straight into Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan respectively, and bench Modric, Rakitic and Ivan Perisic. You don't have to go overboard and make ridiculous statements just to counter arguments, especially online in a forum where people from all works of life and background visit. You can say stuff like this when you're addressing your friends who can tolorate you, but not in public. what are you even saying? We are talking of national team and you are mentioning barca,Madrid..et al. Na people like you dey chase away people from this thread. Somebody will say something, you will twist it and say something else. |

Has your world class mandzukic ever score 30 goals in a season?... Naija players are trying, they are not class but calling them average is just over the board. As a true fan,we ought to keep supporting them through thick and thin and not bashing and trashing them. We are Nigerians for God's sake. |

bazooka1: Hahaha... Stop being delusional bro. This is the type of comment that makes people dig in and bring cold hard facts about Nigerian players that will be miss interpreted for hatred. Nigerian players are world class yet, the last time a Nigerian won APOTY was Kanu Nwankwo in 1999/2000 nobody is delusional here bro...it is a fact, those SE players I mentioned are capable if given the chance. And am not opining that SE are world class, my main point is they are not average as some people here made us to believe. No be the same SE qualify from the group that consist of Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia to bag a WC spot and some people are demoting them for some overrated Europeans. SMH |

andrew444: You can see that you are the one who lack understanding
You can't compare the name of Croatia to Brazil name or even England Argentina ,Croatia can't be a favorite to win a competition where such country is there
Now to make it simple for you ,Modric kovacic mandzukic perisic vrsaljko lovren brozovic rakitic are world class ,you can argue with your key pad .
Stop dreaming okay .
No super eagles player will make Barca first team or even athletico and you see Modric as the only world class
Keep on smoking your weed ,am done with you. can't just stop laughing... why are Croatia not favourite to win such a competition? You can see you are the one smoking here. You keep contradicting yourself. I will just stop arguing with you,you don't deserve the honour. No sane naija born will keep running down the SE players. |

andrew444: You are not making a single sense okay .
Croatia don't have big names in football like some others team ,but that doesn't means they don't have better players ,from goal keepers to strikers they are complete .
Croatia are average but they can boast of at least 6 world class players
How many world class players can your eagles boast of ? None they don't have big names in football but they are all world class....can you see you are not making sense? As far as football is concern, All big names are world class and all world class have big names. Apart from modric, there is no world class player in that team. |

Honestly, for this football blasphemy you just spouted, you deserve to be tied to a rock-filled giant football and cast into the middle of the River Niger. modric ,mandzukic ,rakitic and maybe periodic are decent players. darkelf: Abeg, no mind am. How are those aforementioned players average in any way.
The bolded statement was the point I maid ealier about expecting too much from our present crop of players. It's not just unfounded criticisms but the truth. These guys don't even know how to string basic passes together. We saw this before the WC but some of us said Rohr was just testing formations (some even said mind games) and that we would see the real SE come World cup. The first game against croatia opened my eyes. We saw the same SE we saw in the friendly matches. No improvement at all. The memories are still there....
Let us not expect too much from them Oga.. nobody is talking about WC here . Follow the talk before you talk |

Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi has been rated as one of the best passer of the ball this season in Europe. According to football analyst Ray Hamill, the 22-year-old is one of the leading players in Europe this season for making open play passes in the penalty area per 90 minutes. Iwobi is fourth, and that is no mean feat. He is listed ahead of Eden Hazard, Riyad Mahrez, Leroy Sane and Mesut Ozil with 2.86 passes per 90 minutes. Liverpool back on top as Shaqiri sinks United, Arsenal’s unbeaten run ends What does this statistic actually measure and what does it mean? It measures the rate at which a player is able to penetrate the opposition’s box with their passing, with Iwobi fourth in Europe’s big five leagues. Emery arrived at Arsenal promising fans that his team would be protagonists, and given the number of appearances he has handed out to the Super Eagles star it is clear that he appreciates the directness he can add in the attacking half of the pitch.
