To my main matter ehn, I repeat and repeat again, once you didn't apply for this 2019/2020 customs recruitment, and you weren't shortlisted and even sat for the Cbt...My brother NOBODY FIT HELP YOU. Even if you meet Senate President say make em help you, the first question wey em go 1st ask you na say "Did you apply ??" Customs no be moimoi & bread job o my brother. Customs no be anyhow para-military job o

It’s because half of those that made the list didn’t apply at all. If you are here waiting for the final list, you are on a long thing. I read some pple asking for CBT result... like WTF. Big guns at the top no send if u apply or not. Reference number na ur service number? Lol

The PRO page is not fake, you guys can check it on Facebook and see for yourselves, I can't come and post fake things here, and by the way the PRO is from my state, that is Nasarawa State,I know his real page, I even have his son on my Facebook, because his son is a two star officer in the Nigeria Customs also and the son happened to be a musician from day one, even b4 he joined Customs,I know the son as a musician b4 he later joined customs and till today, the guy still sings..So please if you think it's fake, kindly go and check The DC out on Facebook for his real page,then come and give us your own feedback... They won't tell you verbally that the embargo has been lifted only for the successful will just receive a message for the next step of recruitment which is an indication that embargo has been lifted.

You can only know when embargo was placed but you can't know when embargo would be lifted. The only way for you to know is when you start hearing that appointment letter being flow hear and there which is an indicator.

Note: Don't expect Federal Government will come out to tell your that embargo has been lifted on employment.

But that of customs will wait till the embargo is lifted.

Now they want to take us for a ride.

Please what’s the latest information concerning customs recruitment. Is it true it can be postponed indefinitely cos of bad economy and corona virus?

The information I got was that it will be postponed indefinitely due to corona virus and the bad economy. I don’t know how true it is.

No doubt about what you said. I’m a victim of all this recruitments. You get to the last stage and everything goes blank. I remember that of Frsc, did the final but later got to know that it was hijacked by big men. That’s just Frsc o, talkless of customs.

Exactly what I’m trying to point out. If ICAN is not acknowledged at the entry level won’t my first degree which is not relevant be a problem for me?

Usually those certifications help when already in the service as they increase your chances of getting juicy appointments, sometimes it's a prerequisite for promotion. So it's not useless.

One guy like that was bragging that he has a degree but applied with ND that when he enters he will now upgrade... I just laughed at the sheer ignorance, if care is not taken those with higher qualification that went for lower cadre might never get the opportunity to upgrade till they retire. Many don't know that it is not as easy as many people portray, it's even easier to go to the officer cadre through main route than via lower cadre.

Bro the salary has been increased the least officer in customs take home is 153k. My bro two stars gets 298k formerly 123k, 250kascII one stars. This I can authoratively tell you. This was done around Nov.hamid ali paid in full areas owed my friends collected 1.8. they are somethings I can't say here but for the sake of the fellow that asked customs is my suggestions.shalom.

They're not at par. Navy earns more than customs, they're not even on the same salary structure rather the Navy, Army and Airforce are on the same salary structure hence they earn the same but allowances varies.
A Naval sub-lieutenant earn as much as N2,160,000 per annum that's abt 180k/month aside allowances, this is same for their colleagues in the armed forces of equivalent rank(Lieutenant, Flying officer) while an Assistant Superintendent of customs(the rank applicants with degree will hang) and equivalent to a naval Sub-Lieutenant earns about N1,140,000 per annum a lil above 100k per month aside allowances.
Overall Customs pay is not that huge as many people believe. The amount of chuachua/runs money Customs personnel make they don't even bother about salary because they can stand toe to toe with a General cash-wise in whatever currency(backyard money though) that's why Hamid Ali is agressively pushing for increase in personnel salaries by Keeping a percentage of what they generate to avoid temptation in the job.
