I got a new phone on saturday 17th October,2021.On getting the phone i read the palmphelt and noticed that my sim isnt supported by the phone.I finally got my sim upgraded to 4g by mtn after 6days of going there regularly due to the queue.Out of excitement i got home and started downloading apps like snapchat,facebook,whatsapp and instagram only for me to notice that the phone had faults: the graphic display was very poor,blurry pictures, when doing whatsapp video call more than half of the screen was foggy.To the extent that my infinix hot 5 that i have used for 4years is better than the xiaomi redmi note 10s(a phone that should be 6times better due to cost and equally in terms of specifications).So i called and returned the phone on sunday only for them to tell me to go back with the phone and return it on tuesday if it continues.I did that but before that i called and they noticed that the phone was actually faulty.Now my phone stayed in their store till tuesday the following week.They kept posting me telling me to come back today come back tomorrow.Now after it finally got to their service center i was told to wait another two weeks.This is a phone i havent even used instead of royalline technologies ltd to exchange the phone with a new one the story keeps changing.please everyone is it fair that am been given a faulty phone that is been repaired for a phone i havent even used which they know is faulty.

That's d Nigerian market for you they will rather die than give you a new replacement.

Remember when i bought a tecno phone that developed fault the next day.

My take is redmi was an excellent brand before officially entering the Nigerian market.

I remember when i ordered the redmi 5 plus from alibaba still serves well till date.

Please Nairalanders, I need your opinion on this.

I took my RedMi 9 phone for repairs after it developed a fault. I never wanted to though but I was advised to do so.

The phone suddenly started rebooting by itself while overheating in the process.

To save the phone, I had to open it and disconnect the battery flex.

I had to consult a friend of mine that works phones and he thought it is a problem with the power button as many nairalanders thought when I first brought the complain here. He did what he could to solve the issue but his effort was fruitless as the phone developed more problem after he soaked the phone board in a solution and using same to clean some portions of the phone. The display went dark.

It was then he advised I take it to care for proper attention.

It took the store 20 days to forward the phone to raya care and it has been 24 days since it left the distributor that took the phone to raya care and no information yet from their end. It has been a total of 44 days since the phone left my hand without calls about the state of the phone or any action to be taken with regard to fixing the phone.

My crisis is I don't want to buy a new phone and and later receive calls from them that the phone can be fixed.

so, should I ask the distributor to recall the phone and dump it as scrap or be patient with raya care?

I think you should forget that phone and get a new one.

What ever solution your friend put in d phone has destroyed it for good.

I'm going to keep this brief.

It started three weeks ago. my mum, who was walking normal with no problem suddenly could not walk. Her left leg began paining her severely that day. My mum was all in tears... She was rushed to the hospital where it was discovered that her sugar level was on the high side. The hospital gave drugs which stabilised it, at that point my mum was very weak, couldn't eat, each time she eat she throws up and also had some pain in the leg still. After a week in the hospital, we were then referred to a teaching hospital after a test showed that creatinine in her kidney was high.

The teaching hospital tried their best and I can say my mum is now okay. Except for the left leg. She can't still walk on it, the leg feels cold to touch with a little discolouration above the foot.

Doppler test showed that blood isn't really flowing through the leg. And they said they will need to amputate the leg to prevent the infection from growing to the other parts of the body.

Please I want to know if you know anyone who had similar condition and amputation was recommended but was later healed without need for amputation.

Please share your recommendations. I need my mum now more than before in my life. We are confused on whether to allow them to go on with the amputation or seek other alternatives.
