Bokoharam fighters on a campaign against the Nigerian army in 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=282LuO_RPQY |
If you are interested, watch these 3 videos of bokoharam camp in Sambisa and see the young fighters. These videos were taken around 2014/2015, i am sure some if these boys must be dead by now. I think the fighters are all speaking kanuri, the need for translation into Hausa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vx0wFytoq28 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrQmI60ZdtU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYoCmNnKMEE |
tutudesz:Yes.Extradition between the UK and Nigeria is facilitated by a multilateral treaty, “The London Scheme for Extradition within the Commonwealth”. Nigeria is a Part 2 territory under the Extradition Act 2003,. As for Diezani, her case is very complicated because she is a citizen of both nigeria, dominican republic and the uk. Infact, she has a diplomatic passport for Dominican republic, were she was appointed Trade and Investment Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Dominica. It is very difficult to arrest someone on diplomatic passport because of its immunity. |
Hashabiah:A teacher can become a lecturer. A teacher can also become a phd holder and a professor |
Hashabiah:Is lecturing not teaching Are lecturers not teachers? |
bidexiii:Is DCP Abba Kyari, the only detective in Nigeria? It is funny, when one man takes the credit on all kidnapping cases in Nigeria. I watched a documentary on bbc about his team, like they are everywhere. Lets imagine something happened to him, so no replacement will be found in due time. Why is it that Nigeria always relie on one man to do all the job? |
tutudesz:Dual citizen is not a problem, Nigerian government is not putting pressure on The Uk government to arrest and extradict him. A similar incident happened in the Uk, where an iman( Abu Hamza al-Masri) with dual citizenship ( Uk and Egyptian)incited violence, the united state government requested for his extradition, and he was extradited, now he is serving life imprisonment in US prison. If Nigerian Government are serious about Nnamdi kanu, they would get him arrested or even make an interpol wanted call on his head. |
jpphilips:Didn't you write that Al quada gave birth to bokoharam and Al Shabaab, then i wrote that they never merge and i also wrote that al Qaeda never gave birth to both groups. Affilates does not mean Aqim gave birth to boko haram or al Shabaab. Affiliates mean, Aqim has a relationship with both group. Note: boko haram or Al Shabaab are not a splinter group of Al Qaeda. When you are ready to write properly without abuse, then we can exchange knowledge, for now bye. |
Hashabiah:Who told you teaching has no future? It only has no future for people that are stagnant educationally There are lot of professors in the University who started out as teachers in primary schools |
4ckyou:Like one Nzubechukwu Victor that cut the head of one Ugochukwu Igwilo aka tata with cutlass. |
Fahdiga:It is Eastern security network carrying out a genocide on the Igbos. The igbos know the terrorists, they know it is among them, the terrorists bears chinedu and Emeka but they won't say it because they are cowards. |
You and I know those criminals. And they are called Eastern security network. |
jpphilips:It is hard to exchange knowledge with Nigerians. It is always abuse from abuse, if you don't disagree with someone can you simply write that you don't agree, which one is i am dumb, i don't believe in what i wrote, i am saying nonsense and all sort of rubbish, for your information, it doesn't make logical sense. Must you always show that you are aggressive and angry. Back to the topic. 1) Boko haram had over 100k members, pls go to YouTube and check Muhammad yusuf preaching and then see the numbers of people listening to him, so it will easy to get 5k who wants to fight for the sect...Muhammed Yusuf was so popular that even your present minister of Technology ISA PATAMI interviewed him and was closed to him. Was boko haram used as a means to get vote? Yes. After election, the governor saw no use of them and then went against them, no wonder, they took up weapons, i still stand with my point, the police escalated the issue. 2) Boko haram and Al-Shabaab are 2 different groups with different ideologies and there was never a time they merge together, boko haram didn't come from al Qaeda, it was formed on its own since 2002 and idealogy was strictly the taliban method, al shabaab was formed in 2006 after the break down of the islamic court in somalia. |
JOSCOFELIX:There was no ISIS when bokoharam was popular as a religious sect, the group that was popular was the Taliban and al-Qaeda. And their are rumours that yusuf love the taliban way of seeking political power. ISIS is a recent invention. Yaradua only ordered their attack on their leadership structures when they went militant, i stand with my point that the police escalated the crisis. |
naijapips04:They dont see the best in every human being... white people are very closed group, they hate intruders. White people are only trusting because they trust their system Their culture creates trust among themselves, that is why it is easy for scammers to scam them with other white people pictures. |
JOSCOFELIX:Not true... Muhammad yusuf and Alhaji Buji Fai ( former bornu state commissioner of religious affairs) were working for the governor. We only hear about Mohammed yusuf death but the police also killed Alhaji Buji Fai. The governor used them to for votes during elections because the group had lot of followers. But then Muhammad yusuf and the former Governor became enemies because Muhammad criticise the governor, governor arrested him and he was freed after some days, the second arrest came when police forces went to the mosques to stop prayers and take the leaders which the people were against, which lead to stoning of police vehicles, the police retaliated by shooting many unarmed members, i literally saw the video. All these boko haram issue would not have been escalated, if the state government had created a peace resolution. The police wanted blood and they got a war. |
jpphilips:Learn to comprehend before commenting. My comment was about bokoharam before they went the militant way. They were just a religious group...the arms and men came after the killings of their members by the police. Muhammad yusuf the leader of bokoharam was a former aide to Alhaji buji Foi former commissioner of religious affairs in bornu state. Know that the police killed both of them unjustly which angered the sect. |
Government need to close down sahara reporters. It seems sowore and Nnamdi kanu are working hand in hand. The last time sowore and kanu met, i knew lot of blackmail against the president, his tribe and the military will be published daily. The aim is to undermine Government. In my opinion, government is not doing enough to control information in this country. Sites like sahara reporters will be knocked out of the air in the United states when it goes against national security. Sincerely, they infact are confused of what to do with the likes Facebook and others. Imagine Nnamdi kanu having a page on those sites and government are still watching. A government that cares about its reputation will control the narrative and will control information. |
kalu61:I am still looking for them because all i saw about many of the oldtimers were abuse, nothing matured came out from their head, if you question their beliefs and behaviors, it leads to 100 pages of abuses. |
BRATISLAVA:The op is confused on who is an intellectual. According to him, if you have an old account in nairaland, you are an intellectual even if your comments are filled with rage and anger |
JOSCOFELIX:He is right in a way. In respect to boko haram, the police made them go militant. These people have been peaceful until the police started killing their members. Aljazera showed a documentary on how bokoharam went militant. Our police are very unprofessional |
Krak:Ipob has always been the aggressor. These people are not saint and they have been violent even before military actions |
This country is easy to break up with the number of various militant groups in different parts of the country. Who are sponsoring all these militants in terms of weapons and logistics plus fuel to move their hilux around. Who really is sponsoring boko haram and isis....the source of their income needs to be destroyed first before any real solution can happen to end the war |
The level of disloyalty in this country is too much and something needs to be done about it. How can top secret memos be seen on the frontpages of Newspapers, who is leaking them out? If these things continue, i am sorry to say, the war against boko haram and ISIS will never be won. |
The same way Nigeria Government is having problem with Diezani too.
