bezimo: why do you have to bother..you'very got the PPR which means your application is about approved having checked that you have the required funds..they only need your passport to stamp the visa(2-3 weeks wait) and return back to you with your COPR..I wonder why you bothering about that..you can bring it in cash or leave it there. Thanks for your response...it because I read that you will have to show proof of funds when you arrive in Canada. That's why I want to sort the opinion of people who have been through the border |

https://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/forums/europe-uk-ireland/topics/continuing-to-work-for-us-company-while-visiting-uk-with-tourist-visay Lol....you don't don't understand I repeat I did not violate any terms.....i did not visit the UK for business ...I visited For another purpose entirely.... W I did not take any employment while I was in UK thats when it's violation, if u think i did then tell me... who employed me? ..my kinda work is different from what u are familiar with thats why you are confused .i run an online service, so u expect me to shut down my service during my stay? If it was illegal to own a company in the UK as foreigner it won't be possible to incorporate a company as a foreigner....unless like u said "have an entrepreneur visa" which is not the case... I registered the company with my Nigerian passport as a foreigner. Picture this a business man is on vacation and then he attends to his work emails and phone calls does that mean he violated his visa terms ? Will that be considered working ? I only keep my service running as i have access to internet and that's what I need for my job. It's not an employment it's keeping my business running. It's even indicated in the companies house document that it's ur responsibility as business director to ensure the successful running of the company. After all this if you still don't get it, then I have nothing more to say to u... just don't paint me in any of ur confusion....and don't confuse other readers |

cosade: In UK, "working" is not restricted to "physical work", "online work" is regarded as normal work. You need a self employed or entrepreneur visa to work for your UK incorporated (or registered) company while in the UK. Doing that on a visitors' visa is a violation of your visa terms. You are not even permitted to do voluntary or unpaid work. It is same rule across Europe and North America. I Disagree with u but theres no point arguing with u......the govt is aware d company exist and like I wrote earlier your business has to be worth £200k to qualify for entrepreneur visa and not all companies are worth that.....i pay my taxes and I never had a problem renewing my visa and I always indicate what I'm doing for a living when renewing or at POE.... don't talk about what u ain't sure of ...Google is ur friend. Thanks again |

LadyGuinivere: Well you just reiterated what he said. An internet job is not a strong tie. Having ties in the UK dosent count and they no send Your father's business is his tie not yours. You can skim the thread for what the vos consider ties Okay...thank u lady G ...yr 2 gbaski..... |
Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by moufpeas(m): 11:26pm On Aug 21, 2017 |
cosade: First Bolded This is a red flag. Since you can work from anywhere, you already implied that you can stay put in US and still continue online work.
Second Bolded You just confirmed that you'll violate your visa terms, if given. You worked illegally in UK, so why won't you work illegally in US too.
The only business allowed on visit visa is business meetings (including negotiations, contract signing etc.) nothing more. Online work is not permitted. Online work falls under self-employment, and self-employed visa or work permit is required in this case. Thank you......but take note I didn't work illegally in the UK...my company is registered in the UK and it's not considered working illegally unless u take a physical job from a UK employer....there are many companies everywhere that owned by foreigner ...I've done nothing illegal. Self employed or entrepreneur visa in UK and US requires your company to be worth a certain amount £200k in uk ...bit sure how much in US but I think $100k or more ...my company isn't on that level yet ...so I can't apply in that visa class .... But thanks for yr insight |

Lady G and others ...please I need yr opinion thanks moufpeas: Hi everyone. Here is my my profile....im single 29 years old. I have a fledgling company which I incorporated in dec 2016 in the UK. I visited the UK twice this year in respect to my company work. My company is an online music service. I earn around 450k a month (£1000) on the average. I had my masters in the UK btw 2013 and 2015. My parents and my brother are based in get UK as citizens. My sis is married she's in Lagos. I have not worked by july 2015 when I returned to naija and Dec 2016 when I returned to UK to incorporate my company. In a nutshell I I want to visit my friend in new York and also want to explore and discover more about about the American music scene in respect to my work
Please do i have a strong case with respect to my ties as I'm applying from naija. 2. I have been refused us visa before while I was studying in the UK in 2014 as they said I don't have ties then 3. I have been refused canada visa 2 ce last year and this year...i dunno IF if that has any effect
Thanks in anticipation . KaptainAfrika: What are your 'strong ties' to the country that you are applying from?. Well since my company internet based i can work from anywhere...so I work from Nigeria as well. But the only tie to Nigeria is that I help my dad monitor his properties here in Nigeria when I'm in the country... i think i have more ties in the UK ...i spent virtually the 1st quarter of this year in the UK on a visit visa. (My 2 year uk visit visa just expired in July but wanna apply for us visa before i renew it ). |

Arcayo: Have you uploaded all the documents you need to? If you have not it won't show you submit button. When filling the questionnaire did you answer yes to medical? If yes and you didn't do upfront medical just cancel the application and start another application from another questionnaire to generate another code, then proceed to new application. @Temzybabe..if he didn't answer yes to upfront medical part won't show up and I think it's better for him to start another application than to put "Medical report will be updated upon request" Thanks a lot for always finding time to reply me...well, the question in the questionnaire was.."have u visited or lived in any of the designated countries for 6 concescutive months in the last year ? "...... which I answered yes because Nigeria was among the "YES" country. I tried modifying my answers (which didn't need to restart or generate new code) and I chose "NO"....and the medical column disappeared and I saw the next button too..... But I arrived in Nigeria in October having lived in UK for 2 years ...if I understood the English they used they said "in the last year" which should be 2015 ...which I only lived 3 months....but I will not take chances since I have been in Nigeria for 6 months + now and will be for few more months bfr my try. ....I think it's safe I chose YES and follow @temzybabe's advise.... I appreciate u all @temzybabe , Arcayo and pamper. . many thanks God bless...TRV for all of us |

temzybabe: I'm sure it's because the medical part is empty. It happened to me too. You must put something in it. Just write something like 'medical report would be updated upon request'.. You write it the way you write stuffs under Microsoft Word, then you convert to pdf. Then upload it under the medical part. Do you understand? If you don't put something there u won't be able to continue Oh i see ....Thanks so much for always coming to my rescue .God bless you . |
