Can we be frank for once? IGR collection is not the issue, but leakages. If the people have to hand cash over to a human being, money go loss.... Almost all.
Get a system going that hits the state government account immediately, Cancel this road block mentality, for God's sake.
Do you get what I am saying? For instance, the TOTAL card for drivers buying fuel. Carry a card, pay for what you consume. Stops pilfering because the driver is not using cash. If you go to Abuja markets and even the international airport, they disable the automatic gate because that one accurately audits the takings, and they issue a manual ticket. Why? Because in that case, it's whatever they like that they will remit.
If we want good examples, let's see South Africa. In Johannesburg when I went in 2012, they had an electronic toll system. If you drive under it on the highway, it detects whether your car paper is still valid or not. If your paper is expired, they have already scheduled your banking details when the car papers were renewed. It directly debits your account. No Road safety to block you on the road and give you illegal fines that will end up in private pockets.

You cannot buy a product at the moment at a particular price, then come back the next moment to still buy it at that same price, there must be an increase in the price of that same product
