The answer to that is No. Regardless of what you read of in the Old Testament, in the New Covenant, Jesus Christ declared it a sin for any follower of His to occupy a position of power/ leadership over the others, in much the same way as is obtained in the World we live in.

So, you will not find a born again Christian occupying position of leadership or authority over people( other followers of Jesus Christ included) because it is against God to do so.

Please dont mislead people, and before saying a very Big NO, have portions of the bible to back your point up.

Proverbs 29:2(NIV) says "When the righteous are in authority and become great, the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people groan and sigh.... These clearly shows you that it is the righteos that is expected to rule. Christians have washed their hands off leadership and you wonder how we are suppose to advance the kingdom when we are not in relevant positions.

I think the question OP should ask is "Is it possible to be a christian in politics and not be corrupt?" because this is where the challenge really lies. But even with that, one with grace and self discipline can pull through it.

The coming of Christ is real, but so also will be the unfolding of the events which Christ Himself and the Apostles foretold. While some argue over the use of the word "Rapture", I will rather want to find out if the Bible describes the event of our gathering together in the cloud to meet the Lord. If it does, then we need to believe it.

In our text today, paul set out for us, some of what to expect before the return of the Lord, one of which is a falling away. Jesus Himself also warned that before His return, the love of many will grow cold. Right before us today, many are allowing themselves be deceived by false doctrine which derails the faith of some. Another thing to look out for is the revelation of the Antichrist who opposes and exalts himself above God.

Following these things will be a reason of intense persecution of those who refuse to believe the antichrist or receive his mark. Stiff times are in store for all who choose to stand by their faith in Christ, but that is not the story. Jesus will eventually return to rule the earth and will bring the reign of the devil and his cohorts to an end. We need to rejoice in this and daily live in this hope. Maranatha!
