@OP, there’s just one statement from your entire post that caught my attention. The article wrote that “religious people tend to rely more on intuition” in other words what you mean is that belief in God is basically credulity i.e. blind faith and that it cannot stand the test of logical reasoning, correct? Well, I agree to some extent with you that most people who believe in a God cannot substantiate it with evidence therefore the real kind of “faith” is not something most people readily possess. 2Thessalonians 3:2
The type of “faith” the Bible really addresses has to be based on concrete evidence(Hebrews 11:1), so when the Bible speaks about God, it directs attention to viable facts. Romans 1:20

So this issue of “faith” is what we need to address and I believe atheism should also be put on a pedestal.
Now please don’t see this the wrong way or see it as a “tu quoque” argument, but as an atheist, did you personally witness the Big Bang take place or have you ever actually seen animals evolving from one specie to a new one with your own two eyes ?

They said believers usually do not do better in IQ tests than atheists, which is an indication that atheists have better logical approach to problem solving in the society. This also explains why atheists now champion various fields of research in science.
