theTranslator: You are a liar
I pity you
About Fajuiyi He hid Ironsi and tried talking That's how a tactical soldier fights Not fighting a lost battle with dozens of angry northerners after which Ironsi and his kinsmen killed his premier months beforehand Why didn't your "brave" Igbo man Ironsi shoot a single shot? Or is he not a brave Igbo man? Was he not superior in rank to "coward" Fajuiyi? The thing about you guys is that you believe the lies of your forbears that lie to you because of the frustration of loosing the war
I can't believe you're trying to downplay what Yoruba has done for you
I might not reply you anymore
With this your attitude If I was Fajuiyi I would have shot Ironsi in the head when he came to Ibadan And die for mutiny Oga leave all this Igbo hypocrites always denying what the Yorubas did for them before, during and after the war. They will never blame their leaders who were lying to them all through the war and the events leading to it. Left to me I would say ironsi had knowledge of the coup, maybe he was even the hidden brain behind the coup, that's why he didn't punish the plotters. |

Ojiofor: Every mercenary is fighting for one favour or the other. The person who hired South African and European mercenaries also hired few Yoruba soldiers who were fighting for their own interest which could be cash or something else since they were never Biafrans. Fajuyi as a soldier defended his commander in chief with what exactly? As a soldier did he fire a single shot to defend his guest or how did he do it ?Tell me exactly what he did to defend Gen Ironsi and died as a result of it. What did Peter do when they came to arrest his master Jesus? That is how to defend your boss more especially when you are a military man. One thing about igbos is you always claim to be right even when facts are presented. Always like to claim you fought the war without outside help, but everyone knew what triggered the war, the parts people played during the war. |

Plateau state doesn't have a governor The investigation and arrest is for them to recover all the guns taken from those fulanis, because they know with those weapons those villagers will be able to repel any other attacks. Politics › Re: Book Haram Surrender: Southern Nigeria Must Not Be Deceived. by mp3ree: 6:44pm On Aug 16, 2021 |
referendum01: Although, I am a stunch believer in Nigeria disintegration. At least everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, no matter how hard some urchins work to convince us that Nigeria will work and that staying together is the best even though the rabble rousers have continued failed in justifying the reason why Nigeria can't seperate.
In the seperation matter, I am more inclined to Biafra and Oduduwa going their separate ways as independent states. But in the event that is not acieveable I am equally open to a one united Southern Nigeria that is the whole of present day South staying as one nation.
Space will fail me to enumerate the many reasons why South South marriage will work much more better. But in a nutshell, at least and to some extent we have a lot in common. Today, the Igbos and the Yorubas have lived together for many years in Lagos, Ibadan, Enugu, PH, Umuahia, Owerri, Ogun, Ekiti without anyone issuing ultimatum for the other to leave their land rather this marriage has witnessed development and mutual cordiality.
The relationship between the Igbos, the Ijaws and the Yorubas is evident in the way Lagos has become a cosmopolitan state for everyone to cohabit. The same is aplicable to places like Enugu with sizable number of Yorubas working and doing business without fear of molestation. It is very common to see us intermarry, eat local delicacies of each other and do business and so on. The same can't really be said about the South and the North.
Therefore, before I drift away from the purpose of this piece, it is important to passionately appeal to Southerners to rise up to the security challenge that may be witnessed soon. It will be like one never seen before. I am not a prophet of doom, but anyone who is sensitive to recent events both in Nigeria and abroad will truly understand my point.
I am sure we can now see the number of Boko Haram repentants in the last 2 weeks. Has anyone bothered to enquire why? Unfortunately, the people of Southern Nigeria have penchant for trivializing everything even one detriment to their existence. Until we pay heavily with our lives we never take anything serious. This demonic character accounts to why total strangers from the sahel have dominated our political corridor today. We have now become second class citizens in our father land. This confirms the biblical quotation, "I have seen evil under the sun, servants are riding on horses, masters are walking on bear foot"
They are virtually in charge of everything. The South is now begging for crumbs from the fulanis in their own country. The I don't care attitude of the whole South accounts for why many have been killed in Ebonyi, Delta, Anambra, Enugu, Ogun, Oyo, Imo with many rapped and many others rendered homeless.
I am sure we are aware that Afghanistan has fallen to Taliban a well known terror group. What this means is that there is now that one nation of the world clearly governed by a terror organization. The implication of this is better imagined especially for very porous nations like Nigeria where there is a radical ideology of same sorth.
Let's be honest with the truth. Why the sudden repentance of Boko Haram members in Nigeria? Has anyone bothered to ask or find out? Do you think the repentance are mere coincidences? What has been done to those who have surrendered? Where are they? Which prison is holding them in custody and which court is trying them for genocide against humanity?
The South must brace up for the days ahead may not be as funny as we think. Beyond the forth coming election, there is more to this sudden Boko Haram members surrendering to the Nigerian government. Take it or leave it, these boys have been trained for some hidden reasons and only time will tell. I have the same feeling that these surrenders are not ordinary, I have this belief that their is something bigger and sinister concerning this surrenders. I have this gut feeling that they are being prep like the Trojan Horse against Nigerians.. Middle belters and Southerners. Every southerner should endeavor to atleast have a pump action rifle hidden somewhere, because the day and time no southerner knows when they will unleash terror on us. |

Politics › Re: Why Did North Protested Against Nigeria Independence In 1953 by mp3ree: 12:43pm On Aug 07, 2021 |
Investigative: The Kano riot of 1953 refers to the riot, which broke out in the ancient city of Kano,[1] located in Northern Nigeria, in May 1953. The nature of the riot were clashes between Northerners who were opposed to Nigeria's Independence and Southerners made up of mainly the Yorubas and the Igbos who supported immediate independence for Nigeria. The riot that lasted for four days claimed many lives of the Southerners and Northerners and many others were wounded.
Causes Edit
The remote cause of the riot was the strained relationship between the Northern and Southern political leaders over the issue of self-government in 1956. This strained relationship started with a 1953 motion for self-government for Nigeria in 1956 tabled in the House of Representatives by a member of the Action Group (AG), Chief Anthony Enahoro. The Northerners did not accept the motion. The leader of the Northern People's Congress (NPC) and the Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello, in a counter-motion, replaced "in the year 1956" with the phrase "as soon as practicable". Another Northern member of the House moved a motion for adjournment, a motion which Southern members of AG and the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC) viewed as a delay tactics. All the AG and NCNC members in the house walked out as a result of the adjournment motion
When the Northern delegates left the House, they were confronted by hostile crowds in Lagos who insulted, jeered and called them all sorts of names. Members of the Northern delegation were embittered and in their "Eight Point Program" in the Northern Regional Legislative House, they sought for secession. The last straw that broke the camel's back was the tour by a delegation of the AG and NCNC led by Chief Samuel Akintola. That tour which was aimed at campaigning for self-government acted as the immediate cause of the Kano riot. It sparked off a chain of disorder that culminated in the riot. The riot took place at Sabon Gari an area predominantly occupied by southern Nigerians.
Riot Edit
There was already growing tension in the North when the Action Group northern tour came to Kano during the weekend of 15–17 May, the tension was a result of the hostility towards the Northern delegation in Lagos. An orderly demonstration by the Northern Peoples Congress supporters against a proposed Action Group meeting took place on 15 May. This was followed by small skirmishes the following day. Disturbances that led to the riot started out at the Colonial Hotel, on 16 May 1953 which was supposed to be the venue of a meeting by the Action Group led by Akintola. Prior the meeting, the Kano Native Authority withdrew its permission to grant the meeting. A mob gathered outside of the hotel and started stoning people close to the hotel, during the fracas, two people believed to be southerners died, the mob later attempted to gain entry into Sabon Gari but were subdued by the Native Authority police. The situation became more serious and became an inter-ethnic crisis on 17 May when mobs of hooligans from Northern section of Kano, in particular Fagge attempted to break into the Southern and Igbo dominated Sabon Gari area with some success, though their original chants were against the Yorubas, the casualties in the Sabon Gari area were mostly Igbos.[2] Shops in the Sabon Gari market were looted and violent attacks took place. But the Native Authority police and the Army were called upon and prevented further entry of hooligans into the Kano area. The skirmishes further spilled into the indigenous Kano areas such as Fagge where small unorganized groups of people of different ethnic groups clashed.[3] My father, Dennis William Lyndon, told us of his experience in command of some of the troops. His orders were strict regarding the limited objectives of protection of property and of not provoking any escalation. With their bayonets fixed he held his men steady even as women and children were brought before him, their arms lopped off with machetes and fuel thrown over them before they were set alight. This was one of the worst of his experiences as an officer of the British army
An exchange of prisoners took place to reduce the tension, Southerners who were arrested were released and Northerners also released; Northerners in the Sabon Gari area were asked to leave and Southerners in the Fagge area were asked to move to Sabon Gari for the meantime. About 46 Nigerians mostly Northerners and Igbos died during the clash and more than 200 people were treated for injuries. Though it was immediately called an inter-ethnic riot by the colonial government in Nigeria, the political leaders termed it a political riot between people who want self government in 1956 and those who want imperialism to continue. No be today we don get different ideology |
