I use the term miracle because when it happens to religionus person they see it as a miracle irrespective of the type religion they belong because they see it as Devine intervention but to scientific mind, it's just a series of physical event and action that took place in time, infact some ancient folks have a better explanation. They believe the god had a pact not to interact with man's activities though every once in a while some of the gods do sneak an intervene lol.

Finally the calling of the name is suppose to work every time for a Christian but it isn't the case. Sometimes those who worse off are save whereas those who are better end up dead even they pray before leaving infact some even pray inside the car, why am I saying all these, because you talked about a god more power than another God, they are all the same the only strength they have is the power of the people who worship them.

Nothing like series of physical events if it cannot be scientifically and empirically explained. That series of events should be explained, or at least a logical hypothesis be given for it. But we should know hypothesis is just intelligent guess and not a proof or explanation anything. You know why I love science? They will just use words like no scientific explanation or without proof or words like that. But they can't offer any explanation.

Let me give you an example that miracle is a supernatural thing and not a natural thing. A normal car without airbag doing 140 had a head-on coll with a truck doing same 140. The driver of the truck died from the impact. The driver of the car survived with no injury. I know with my small knowledge of physics that no living thing in the car should survive the impact of the collision. No science can explain that as there was not even an airbag to have been deployed, not that an airbag would have been of any help in that situation. I am not saying whether the person is a Christian or not. I'm just talking about miracle. Another one, somebody in terminal stage of cancer recovered overnight, no trace of any cancerous cells. My brother, there is no scientific explanation for the recovery. It's just a supernatural event. It's a miracle.

Calling on the name Jesus "should not work all the time" as it's not a scientific formula you can always predict the outcome. Having it work all the time like a scientific formula is like predicting God, just as I explained earlier. What we will be asking is if there's power in it. Of which, the answer is yes!

Prayers and works are two different things, even though they may be complementing. Any person or nation that only prays and not work is doomed. You said you were once a Christian. But we know many people always claim they once were when in actual sense they never were as they knew next to nothing about their former faith. If you understand the scripture, you will see a superinjuction of God to man to conquer the earth. You will also know human was advised to work six days and rest on the seventh day. So you can see there is a misconception somewhere about praying and not working as you alluded to.

When you believe in something miracle do happen, all those who believes in a deity can attest to it that they must experience one form miracle or another, yet there are still time they call on their deity and he did not answer. Now it happens to different people of different religions I will use Christian as example if you don't mind since we are having a decent conversation.

Now a Christian is inside a vehicle which is involved in car crashed, the Christian shouts Jesus in some cases he lives to tells the testimony in church and everyone is happy and sees how powerful Jesus is, while other times shouted same but end up dead not because he is a worse sinner but because nature happened but what does people say? God knows best, same cut across different religious beliefs. Miracles are abound in all religions but to me all that I painted above are nothing but a combination of physical process.

But first let's know there is nothing like miracle in atheism or should I say science, at least as christians or other adherents of other religions.

To start with, for me , why I love being a Christian is because of teachings and love of Jesus. Love! Not necessarily miracles. Love, that's a masterpiece for a lovely and humane world! The life of some so-called Christians shouldn't make us think otherwise.

Now for miracles, especially when it comes to calling the name Jesus. First you should know that many people abuse that name against biblical injunction. So how can the name you abuse come to your aid when necessary? It's almost impossible. Scripture makes us know that at the last day he will reject many that claim He is their Lord by telling them he doesn't know them. Am I saying people that called on the name in danger and them became victims at the end of the day were sinners or bad followers? Not at all. He made us know his way is not our (human's) way. If His way is our way, it means we are the same with him.

Today most people don't know the difference between Christians and pagans as different religionists are claiming followers of Christ yet contradicting themselves with lots of conflicting doctrines so the real Christians (Jehovah's Witnesses) takes their stand for the heritage of God's people which is marrying only true worshipers of our God.

So if i am a father after inculcating the laws of our God in my my child's heart {Deuteronomy 6:6-7} whatever makes him or her feel like marrying a none worshiper of our God then he or she is taking a step that's surely going to cause him or her great sorrow in the future i will never be a part of such so that when the troubles starts he or she will remember the heritage of God's people that marrying an unbeliever shows foolishness! Proverbs 22:3
