1. Bail (2017)
He was granted bail with strict conditions.

2. Bail Conditions
Restrictions included:
* no interviews
* no rallies or mass gatherings
* no inflammatory statements
* no association with groups deemed security threats

These were intended to limit his influence pending trial.

3. Violations
He deliberately violated the conditions by:
* holding rallies
* giving radio broadcasts
The violations were open and intentional.

4. Escalation of Rhetoric
His language shifted to proto-insurgency, this escalation alarmed federal authorities.

5. Operation Python Dance II
The operation was launched not merely for bail breaches but because intelligence suggested IPOB was shifting from agitation → mobilisation → potential militarisation.
The bail violations served as a convenient pretext.

6. Military Raid
The raid on his home was a deliberate attempt to disrupt and decapitate the movement , a political–military action, not a judicial one.

7. Flight
He fled after the raid and resurfaced in the UK.
Legally, this constitutes bail jumping, regardless of the circumstances.
Nnamdi Kanu's case is more political than legal. It's best we don't even talk about it. The politicians will settle themselves.

Story story story. Nigeria started the sale of oil in naira long before the US threat of invasion. The policy was approved in July 2024 and started in October 2024. Meanwhile threat of invasion started over a year thereafter.
Please look for another conspiracy theory, this one cannot fly

Virtual currency now taxable, capital market gains remain tax-free —Oyedele
punchng.com

Government policies remains very funny. One minute it is this another minute it is that. I hate it when a policy has no clear cut direction. Are we actually doing a trial by error ? People had lost money in NGX by some useless pronouncement and they blame it on Trump. Well, i will still watch how this latest information will be percieved in the market. Nobody knows anything anymore. If you follow this route, they follow you too. Na siddon look i dey now huh Policy summersalt.
They need to come by way of an amendment or a gazetted publication stating that capital market gains are exempted from tax. Anything short of that might not work. We know this government, they promise but don't keep the promises. Ask ASUU, NLC etc. from the days of Buhari, the tricks have been the same.

Why do you want sell
Many reasons
First, I don't trust the government, they will do what they want to do ie collect huge Capital gains tax.
Secondly I want to concentrate my portfolio in the Oil sector. Particularly Aradel.
Thirdly there is this juicy property that came up in my neighborhood. I need it

If they don't reverse that Draconian capital gains tax on stocks, we have no option than to sell and invest somewhere else.
It's very unfortunate that we have such a government.
I go pack my Kaya till January. I no fit do business government carry 30% of my profit, then then collect 10% of my dividend.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 8:43am On Nov 11, 2025
On a very serious note, government need to suspend the provision on Capital Gains Tax on shares transactions. It makes no sense at this point, when need to encourage investment in the stock market.
After paying all the necessary fees which in average is about 3% of capital invested, for buy and sell transactions,10% wth tax on dividends etc , we still take the risk of making a loss or profit from the investment and still pay 30% tax if we make a profit.
I think the government just wants to discourage investment in the stock market.

I remember when Ngozi Okonjo iweala was finance Minister, CGT was already exempted for transactions on Stocks, and to encourage investment in the exchange, she further removed VAT for transactions on stocks.

This government only seeks to take from Nigerians without giving anything in return. See how they asked banks not to distribute FX gains and yet came back to collect almost all the FX gains made by banks by way of tax.

EV is the way to go. China is making it possible by making them affordable. In fact in the last 5 years Chinese EV related vehicles have taken serious market share from major car brands globally. There is enough power from the Sun to power EV’s in Nigeria. And harvesting/storing the energy is getting more and more affordable, thanks to China. All this makes me bearish on Aradel et al when thinking of medium to long term investments.
Pls stop passing info only on what you read, sometimes try taste the soup before telling how delicious it is.

Is there an EV vehicle with at least 4 passengers capacity that is worth less than 25million?

In a country where average power supply is less than 10hrs a day what business do we have with electric vehicles.

You talk about the sun. Lol. I also thought the sun was enough until I installed a solar system in my house. It is good but not what you think it is. Sometimes you have to put off almost everything in the house for the solar system to last through the night. Even when you expand the system, the sun is not just enough, you still rely on the grid or generator sometimes to charge it up.

Always ask yourself why all those developed countries with constant power supply still have the petrol and diesel vehicles dominating.
Why are they still interested in gas etc

For a country like Nigeria that is an oil producing country, and relies heavily on oil, we have no business promoting EVs more so that we don't have enough electricity to power the basics.
We better focus all that energy on growing our oil and gas sector.

BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE!
Lol. US didn't say it will strike/go into war with Nigeria, it only said it would take actions to protect Christians who are victims of the genocide.
The action might include military actions(not against the government of Nigeria but against the perpetrators of the said violence against Christians) against the criminals attacking Christians in Southern Kaduna, Benue and Plateau.
Believe me, before USA takes such actions it might already have identified the said targets.
On a good day, the US would even strike without the social media release. Trump's posts about the strike is strategic. He knows what he is doing.
Those with knowledge of international politics know he is being strategic.

The said killers must have already taken off, little wonder the government of Chad rushed to close its borders with Nigeria to avoid the fleeing terrorists.

Do not be surprised at the end of the day we might have a joint operation of Nigerian and American forces against the terrorist.

No need creating the impression that Nigeria will be bombed

Last week, it was easier to belive it would hit 1500 cos some people focused on the 5k price target as with SEPLAT, without considering 7x oustanding shares.
I think the projection last week was 1.5k to 2.5k and that, to me is attainable next year, provided the ND Western deal scales through this year.

Seplat has an even higher target price, but the owners are just not interested in helping the stock appreciate. If they do a split in the manner of Aradel, and raise their OS to that level, they will easily appreciate to 4k plus.

It may get there but definitely not in a hurry and the road will have bends and curves and will not be a straight path.
Sure. I have started my buying in tranches. Once the ND Western purchase deal is done, their daily production moves to over 140k per day. That's a game changer.
