My oga here always says delay in release of results by companies is red flag..eg access bank.And he sold off

In summary, I want to buy 20% less than current price. If it does 10% fall today, and another 10% fall tomorrow morning then I buy.
I am not just buying the result, I am buying the future.

Not all delay in release of result turns out to be red flags. Seplat, Transcorp etc sometimes hold the release of result days after board meeting.

The referenced article was released by Renaissance Capital on the 16th day of June 2025. Since then, both zenith and Uba have paid interim dividends. So the report have been overtaken by event even as they have been proved wrong.

Going by q2 result, Aradel's current price is justified except if they don't do well in Q3 or if they share the money like they did in q1.

I pray so. Because I have som units of Access bank.
But I remain grateful to Sir Emma. It was after his disclosure of having sold off all his units of Access bank that I sold 50% of my holdings in the bank which I moved to Aradel, Transcorp and Presco.

I know Transcorp will not pay good dividends, but their price is good and they have a culture of quarterly improvements in results.

Oando is virtually a dead company!

Access Bank will still be around in 2125(that is in 100 years time).

Do not be emotional about any stock. Before Intercontinental bank, Diamond bank, Oceanic bank etc went down, they were considered some of the strongest in the industry. I remember when Sanusi was CBN governor, during his clean-up of the banking industry, Diamond bank was named amongst the first 4 strongest banks in the country. It only took a couple of years for the bank to be run down. That of First bank is well documented how Bisi Onasanya's administrator or CEO almost sent the bank to the great beyond.
If Access bank does not take time, one of the big banks will acquire Access at very cheap price.

Remember a significant portion of many Nigerian banks' profits in 2024 was as a result of foreign exchange (FX) revaluation gains, particularly from the devaluation of the naira in the previous year.


Interim dividend is likely when Q3 2025 result is released;or a final year dividend of ₦2.5/₦3/₦3.5 is most likely possible by April or May 2026.

A final year EPS of ₦8 for 2025 is definately possible. An EPS of over ₦3 at half year can easily take care of dividend for the 2025 financial year.

Their total daily production plus interests in other assets is set to equal or even surpass that of Seplat. Do you know that upon completion of the renaissance/spdc deal, they were able to almost double the production of that Asset? The government praised Renaissance for that feat which increased the Country's daily crude oil production. Meanwhile ND Western also has a different oil asset apart from their 50% stake in Renaissance.

Lol. It's not that bad na. Let's say they make N13 EPS this year, which is conservative. Even if you slap PE of 1.5x, which is low, that's N19.5.

It's the relative underperformance on a grand scale vs. GTCO that is shocking. It's like man vs. machine. Access should be firing its entire board and senior management if they had any shame.

Half year eps is N3.72. that is not so good.
I pray they achieve eps of N13 like you hope.
But from this result and eps of 3.72 in 6months, the price should fall.
Maybe that's why they first released fake results to shore up the price before the real thing(although I don't think Access bank released the first fake results)

What a mess. 50% drop in EPS. I remember when people were arguing that recapitalization wouldn't meaningfully impact EPS because banks are money machines. Not so. Can't defy gravity forever.

PZ is great but... Note that about N11.9billion out of their N13.4 profit after tax is from asset disposal and there is the little debt issue. So be cautious and wait for their q2 result. But the stock is good for long term
