It should be "Restricted Work'

I think I've read something here about how to correct it by contacting them. A little research might help or if someone else can assist with the information

@canadaishome Thank you for your response. I will check the thread and hopefully I am able to come up with something.

Hi Everyone.

A PHD students dependant just received her visa vignette and on the remark section it states "No work", "No business", "No public funds" . The PHD student is concerned that his dependant won't be allowed to work on arrival. Is this true? If so how do one go about correcting this anomaly?

I will appreciate @justwise and every other knowledgeable persons contribution on this subject please.

God bless you.

Thank you for your quick response and i will await response from you and other learned members while i also do some digging into old posts myself.

Please permit me to ask another question. At the point of paying IHS surcharge fees for a child dependant i am asked to "add main persons visa expiry date". The main applicant and the whole family is applying together so there is no visa yet to quote an expiry date. Please how do go about this.

Will sincerely appreciate contributions from people who have been is similar situation.

Thank you.

I'm trying to read back to where someone with similar issue was able to sort it out, i have seen this sort of question here a lot, just did not follow up to the end.

Please anyone with answer to this question should help

If i get the post i'm looking for i will quote it here

Morning Everyone.

Just a quick but urgent question please.

While trying to fill a dependants IHS application who recently returned from the UK the cost showed $0 and a IHS reference number was issued! Is this normal because i am aware paying IHS surcharge is a must? Please bear in mind that we had said "No" to staying in isle of man, Jersey or Guernsey questions. Will appreciate response from @justwise and every other wise person in the house. Many thanks.

Thanks @Bourne007. Your response was indeed very helpful. I appreciate.

The only document to show is proof s/he was resident for 6 months or more. And best you state this in 'Additional information' part of the application form

Hi Everyone,

We are a family of 4 applying for the student visa (main applicant & 3 dependants). One of my dependant recently returned from the UK where they lived as resident and by such is exempted from IOMs Tuberculous test. Wanted to know if this exempted applicant is required to present any document to that effect or the Visa issuing officers will automatically know they are exempted. I don't want to take chances. Thank you all in advance.

@Zoey1 your subtle insults to this guy is unnecessary! There are better/civil ways to point out his errors. This is borderline bullying!

They did not make it clear? Is that not English?
And you want to go study?
That's not Spanish or French, how else do you want it communicated?
You are already shifting blames.

@Missngozi,

The advice from your school rep and UKEAS is based on the fact that your school is on the Tier 4 pilot scheme and they are right! Otherwise the 28 days thing mandatory. Am sure your would have notice that financial evidence is not stated on your checklist that was generated after your application submission .

So rest easy and go for your biometrics next week. The rejection rate is pretty low so you have nothing to worry particularly when you are going to a school on the tier 4 pilot scheme. Nevertheless I am wishing you all the best.
Missngozi123:
Good morning house
I've come with another question please
I lodged the required £20k funds in my account as specified on the 26th of july, meaning my 28 day count ends this week Friday
However I was advised by my school Rep to go ahead and book an appointment online which i did and as such, my biometrics is next week.
Here's my confusion now pls
I've just read online that the application date shouldn't be more than 31 days from the 28th date on the bank statement. Is the application date when you submit online or when you actually go to do your biometrics and interview?
I brought this up with the school Rep and the advisor from UKEAS and they both said it doesn't matter as my school is on tier 4 pilot, that I'm only adding bank statement as supporting evidence as my document checklist is just my certificate . Will this affect my decision.
Or do I have to cancel my application and rebook after the 28 days is complete.
Outside of this, I think I have everything else covered
Please kindly advise.
@justwise @mr2810
Thank you

It’s surprising to know that your school issued you a CAS without seeing your original certificate because by their regulations the are required to sight the original before even giving you unconditional admission.

If I may advise and while you upload the copy for visa purposes that you speed up getting your original transcripts since your former school won’t reissue another certificate. This is for all purpose and intent.

Ihuoma88:
Thanks for your response JAYVALLIA . Please when you say “write to my school explaining” pls do you mean my University here in Nigeria where i obtained my Degree or my Prospective UK University? Also no, I have not collected my transcript yet. I uploaded the image of my degree certificate to my prospective School before i got admission. So if I understand correctly, I can do that as well for Visa application and then when i get the statement of my degree from my uni, i can travel with that and present it to the school in UK . Thanks

The immigration health surcharge payment is actually a prerequisite to you making or even paying for your application. Simple put, you don’t pay for it you can’t pay for your application and invariably you don’t have an application.

Hello Nairalander,
I want to make enquiry if it is mandatory to pay Immigration health Surcharge for every Tier 4 applicant.I stumbled on it when I was filling my form yesterday.
Looking forward to receiving immediate information from my Nairalander. Thanks

Yes I submitted my certificate that was already verified by my school before issuing me CAS.

My automatically generated check list after submitted my application did not require that I present a financial doc/ bank statement but still submitted one just to stay safe as advised by experts on this platform.

I was interviewed albeit short compared to the guys that went in before me, 8 minutes actually!

Honestly my advice to everyone is to take advice on this platform seriously and be honest when filling in the application because If you are caught trying to be funny 10years ban is real!

They don’t have wahala especially if you have your ducks in a line, their rejection rate is pretty low, like 3%.

So give it your best shot and wishing you best of luck.
Missngozi123:

Please did you submit your academic qualifications and bank statement? My school is on the pilot scheme as well, I just want to be sure. I was advised by the school rep to include them even though the pilot scheme says I'm not required to. Were you also interviewed as well?
Thank you

Guys, it seems regular application is now 5 working days. I applied last week Friday using the regular option and happy to say I picked up my passport today with the 1 month visa and to pick the BRP on my safe arrival in the UK. I also know a couple of people that has picked theirs in a week after biometrics. So guys you might want to give the regular a try before paying so much for the priority.

Good morning friends,

My interview is on Monday and I'm just so nervous about everything. Please, I'm eligible for tier 4 pilot visa, and I'm a bit confused on the documents to tale along.

I already have my TB certificate, school certificate, CAS letter, Nigerian passport. Please what other thing should I add? I read that I'm supposed to carry a passport UK standard.. Is it necessary? I will be doing my biometric in Ikeja VAC.

Please someone should help me

Passport photograph isn’t required neither am I sure if you need a “CAS letter” but the CAS number. And you would have quoted it at some point in your application.

Regardless of your tier 4 pilot scheme eligibility, I will advise you still include the bank statement for proof of funds and of course for a 28 day period. No harm done if you don’t upload it initially but they can request for it and also avail you some time to provide it to support application. So if you have it just provide it now to avoid prolong things and put your mind at ease.

Best of luck and hope this helps.

Just after your biometrics are taken, you will wait in a little queue, then get called in. You will put on your headphones and answer the simplest questions you have ever had to answer.
Like:
What is your name
What school are you going to?
And what is your proposed course
Why did you choose this specific school? And this specific course!
What will this additional degree do to your career plans?
What are your career aspirations?
What are your plans after graduation from the school on the UK?
How will you find your studies?
Why do you want to spend this much money on your proposed degree?
Where will you be staying in the UK?
Dazzol.....

Thanks @Laajiblik.

This is very helpful at least to prevent an ambush.

God bless.

Just a quick question please.

I made a regular application and have a self service appointment to provide documents and biometrics this Friday with TLS. Will the interview happen same day or how does it work please?

From my understanding of MBA admissions, a lot of them are structured in a way that you know their admission decision dates. Did your school disclose their admissions decision dates during the application process?

Thank you for your response.

They didn’t ask so I didn’t disclose to my preferred school , but I intended disclose to them ( the representative) when we speak tomorrow?

I am putting thoughts together on how best to handle the conversation tomorrow so any thoughts is welcome.

Hello House,

Please I need advice.

I applied to two universities for an MBA, I just received a conditional offer into one of them with 30% scholarship while the other university (preferred) has been stalling on my application.

I plan to talk to a representative of the preferred university tomorrow and I plan to use this conditional offer as a negotiation tool for them to come to a quick decision on my application.

My question is will this approach help? if so what point should I be saying to the rep to convince him or her?
