richkal:
12 names are fair but not enough in my perspective. I don't know the weigh of your pocket but you need to reg more geo domain names to increase your chances to make first sale. You can reg one name at a time.

There are some over here who make their first sales with just 5 domain names or less. But large majority have more names in their portfolio before landing the first sales.

I did a little survey quite a while ago, asking people how many domain names they have before first sales.

Someone makes his first sales after 17 domain names. I have someone who said he made his first sales after 24 domain names.

I was in a discussion, and someone said he regged 20 Geo domain names and no sales. But he keeps pushing and he later makes sales.

One of the highest I have seen is by softmojo, he regged about 49 names before first name. And the guy is making nothing less than $10k annually with this business in less than 2 years.

Our numbers are different and that's is that reality of this business. Unfortunately, things like this are not discuss among us for the benefits of others, especially the newbies.

This business is a number game, the more you reg, the higher the chance to make sales. My advise for you is to keep building your portfolio.

Now is not the right time to give up. Don't be desperate, just reg one domain name at a time. Have a long term goal.

Be consistent and you will smile to the bank at the end of the days. Your first sales is waiting for you, go get it. We will all give good testimony in December by God's Grace.

I will keep pushing.... Thanks for this.

As you read, please ask questions for clarifications.

Yeah... Thanks for your concern.

Deji1510:
You might actually be doing something wrong. I'm just a year old in the biz as well.

Although, I take the biz as my full time business.

Yeah..... I know very well @ the bolded....
I'm happy for you.

IdeasPro:
This is heart-rending! But within this year of no sales, what have you learned? How many domain names do you have in your portfolio? If you've bought 10 and above and no single sale, you've to reverse engineer. This is fastest path to buying and selling domain names.

I had about 12 names,... 2 just got expired.
I don't just know what am doing wrong.
I'm reading the thread from the very first page though... I've gotten to an extent.

Sapiosexuality:
How many names do you have? Quality of names? Number of endusers? Geos, Emds, Brandables?

I got 12 names though. 70% Geos.... I got a name approved on SH (SH registered).
There are names i got over 100 end-users, yet no positive outcome

justmykel:
If you give up now, the time spent, money invested and all will be all in vain.
I used the above to continually motivate myself when I started off. 16 months with nothing to show for it

As long as you know what you're doing, keep pushing. Your day will dawn soonest.

@The bolded, that's really true... I'm optimistic things will change soon.

It's a year now since i joined this business and i haven't made any sale yet ..... This thing is just something else.

iykepromotions:
First sale of the year. Follow up with a price reduction.

Congratulations Boss

Answer this question.

Why did u buy it or why do u want to buy it.

pls separate the names with //...we will understand.

High SV and availability of end users.

Thanks for reminding me. Kindly do me a favor by editing the quote. Thanks.

Please what do y'all think of this name: Lakes//Family//Dental in king.

mazizitonene:
lol, actually over two years o.....should be closer to three..I think. Well I think I've been smart about the biz. All the expenses, the domains, the renewals, drink and pizza money this domains cater for it totally and comfortably. I'm actually running an MSc degree amongst other things....and that also contributes to my lack of time to outbound, so I'm actually looking at getting some assistance. So....if you'll like to outbound on percentage basis. I'm open to that. If ya serious o. We can't have two unserious people in one company .......so shoot a DM.....or visit domains unit dot com and shoot me a message

Short story about the Hire//VAs sale
I picked the domain name from ED few months ago. I submitted it to SquadHelp but it was rejected. I now listed it on Dan for 900 bucks. Just recently, I decided to even check the related business that might be interested in taking the domain name. So I got few companies and I did the outreach. The first reply was negative and the second company asked for the price. Before I could reply the second company, a lot of thoughts were already on my mind. One mind was telling me to give him blank check, one was telling me to tell him 10k, another was telling me 5k and the last thought 1k, I know that was from the poverty mentality. So I summoned courage and told him 5k and he bought it that same day.

After that sale, I discovered that some companies are using Virtual Employees so I registered Hire//VEs and I did the outbound but nobody replied. I later pitched it to the previous man and he lectured me that VEs is not a powerful keyword unlike VAs, but he said he would take it for 100 bucks and he did just that.

Although I'm still a newbie here, but let's try and be giving our domains better prices like our colleagues in tier 1 countries. If it's a very powerful domain, good number of these end users would be happy to buy.

Small giveaway for 10 domainers here. Please guys nominate who would handle the giveaway.

I wish each and everyone of us a prosperous October. Happy New Month.

Congratulations bro.
I'm very much interested in the giveaway

Wow... That's nice... Thanks for your response

Rankett:
I know of city+ chiropractor. As for opthalmologist, I don't know much about that.

All in all, check for the end users popularity before registering.

Okay... Thank you

Fellow Domainers, how do you view city+chiropractor and ophthalmologist?

HIScraziness:

Hi guys, I’ve got 3 names to give out. For two I think I’ve done just few outbounds on them, contacted only about 10 endusers. There are many more you can still reach out to.

For one it’s been months I last did outbound. I don’t like keeping too much portfolio so please quote me if you want them.

Must be newbie a please

If there's still a slot, please consider me.

AwesomeDuru:
